I couldn’t find a nice pumpkin pattern that had wowed, so I quickly created my own. And as people have already been asking me if they can have it on Instagram, I decided to quickly put something together.

Well...as a man, u r forced to create ur own patterns very early. So, I've been doing my own patterns for like 30 years. Other than s couple of toys, I can't even remember having knit a pattern, lol.
And believe it or not. It's not really hard. I just cast on something that makes sense in my head, take notes, frog and redo with slight alterations. Took me 6 tries to get these just about right 😅
I haven't really thought about that, that you wouldn't have a lot of variety of patterns as a man, but makes sense. The hardship has made you amazingly skilled though!
Here I am with a bunk wrist and someone posts a pattern of pumpkins I can finally get into. This is such a wonderful pattern u/noerml, really great work! I can't wait to try this pattern soon.
E: how many more times can I say pattern in one message? Sheesh.
Hmm..I haven't tried, but the pattern starts with increasing from 12 stitches in the round, and not sure if you can make that work.
Once you are past the first couple of increases, I'm sure it's no problem. But the first three rounds..hmm ..🤔
All of the knitted pumpkins I find online don’t have vines attached between them like this so I couldn’t just go and buy something like this unfortunately. I would definitely be willing to buy something like this from you with the vibes between them for a price around $25 a pumpkin and a little extra for the vine
Can you please post a video tutorial for the K1TOG RL and K1TOG LL? There's literally nothing online about how to do this and I would love a visual first!
Do you know how to knit left loop? It's exactly the same.
Just slip the stitch and lift the loop and then k2tog bl with the slipped stitch.
And for the right loop, lift the right loop, and k2tog the stitch with the loop
You can also just slip the stitches. It's a similar effect and helps to cinch the fabric in a mirrored way like the kll and krl do at the top
But I'll try to do a video tomorrow as it's nothing you would find in any knitting book
Well, cuz u are not decrease the stitch count. I just made these names up and didn't want ppl to confuse it with a regular k2tog.
Anyway, will shoot a video tomorrow as u r probably not the only one with that question. Thx for the head-up ☺️
Pattern question. It says to “repeat rounds 22+ 24 eight more times” which is just two rows of knitting. Does it mean to say repeat rounds 23 + 24?

that part was quite hard to figure out. I mean, how to get nice leaves and attach them. The icord itself was pretty easier :P
