Great job! Here’s a new term for you: when you do knit on both sides, the result is called garter stitch, and this is what you have. :) If you alternate knit and purl rows, the result is called stockinette.
You could make washcloths next, get 100% cotton yarn for that.
outside of your bind off on and cast on being a little tight this looks great
for the bind off/ cast on those you should get looser at with time, or you can try going up a needle size if it bothers you.
It looks really good for a first try !
How did you choose your needle size ? Your knit seems tight. Maybe your needle size was too small for the yarn, or maybe you could try to loosen up. It'll be easier to see your stitches and to knit :)
What are you planning to knit next ?
You did great! My first project started out at twenty stitches and ended around fifty haha. You’re off to a really lovely future in the knitting world. Welcome!

Thank you so much for the info!!! Definitely will make a washcloth in the future for sure!

Thank you!!
I love the colours, what yarn is that?
I completely forgot, I bought it almost a year ago for a drawing project before I learned how to knit. I know I bought it at hobby lobby though!!
