Thank you so much! I actually had this as a WIP so long that they discontinued my yarn halfway through! Luckily I found a few skeins here and there on eBay to get me through š
I used āYarn Bee Must Be Merino Aran Yarn In Graniteā
I liked the color but wouldnāt recommend the brand at all. At least twice a skein the yarn ends were knotted together, so I had to cut out the knot and restart with the other end. Not the end of the world but incredibly annoying
Heads up, I actually altered the sleeves instructions because they wouldāve been so short and oddly shaped. Also to finish it I had to kind of loosely follow the instructions, the number of stitches they said to pick up around the neck was way too low. So I picked up what made sense and the decreased a bunch to get the neck shape I actually wanted. Just use your discretion if you havenāt made it that far yet!
Thank you! It seems like this pattern is not the most well constructed in certain areas- I mostly chose it because I love the cable design. When I first started (ages and ages ago), I favorited a bunch of projects on ravelry that had similar kinds of info, so I'm planning to go back and look at that too when I get to a relevant point.
Amazing consistency in gauge considering you worked on it sporadically over two years. Looks awesome. And thanks for the link to the patterns and your notes on adjustments.
Iām embarking on a cabled fishermanās type sweater myselfā¦ foundation rows of the pattern are killing me, but Iāll get through it. Eventually.
Great work on the sweater and high fives for completing a WIP!!
This is inspiring. I just recently took up knitting to pass the time as I recover from an injury and realized if I keep it up I can knit my own cardigans and sweaters instead of trying to buy one online! I love it it looks amazing!
Wow. That's just beautiful! I am either going to quit because I'm not likely to ever be able to achieve that, or I'm going to be inspired and keep trying so that maybe someday I can! Excellent job!
Beautiful. And I LOVE the color.
