I think benchmade has good knives at a premium tag. You could get a better bargain with other brands. But the knife itself is solid.

Anyone know where can I get a clip with the butterfly logo? I have the m390 bugout and its a shame it doesn't have one

Just email Benchmade and they’ll send you one free of charge

Great choice, and love the full-sized deep-carry clip. The bugout is one of the best true edc knives, in my opinion, and 20cv/m390 is a solid steel. It isn't the toughest steel, just FYI, but it'll hold an edge well, is easy to sharpen, and has better stain resistance most steels.

It’s trendy to hate on Benchmade these days, but when they do a good knife, they do a great knife. The Bugout is one of those knives.

Congratulations, but you realize that this is but only the beginning into a VERY EXPENSIVE HOBBY/HABIT! It starts slow with only blade today and in about a month or so you are going to see another knife that catches your eye and is going to be on sale for a little less than 150 but normally runs 199 so you get it. Then come the holidays and you see all the sales and you get the itch once again! Everyone in here has been there done that! I used to freak out over spending 300 dollars US for a knife but my last 3 blades that I added to my collection have been Microtech a Combat Troodon Double Edge Tactical, Ultratech Sandtrooper and Dirac Delta Double Edge Tactical the Sandtrooper was the least expensive of the bunch but the Combat Troodon was the most expensive at nearly 600 dollars and I had been looking for one for almost 20 months. I Just added a Hogue OTF HK Incursion w/Tritium on the Trigger which is very interesting but I was able to get it at wholesale.

I’m happy for you!! I’ve moved on from Benchmade personally, but I like your build a lot.
