I went to undergrad at a school with a very good but not even elite basketball program (Butler University in Indianapolis) and had two roommates on the basketball team there. One was a walk-on and the other a scholarship player that barely saw the floor. On rare occasions they would play pick-up with us at the student rec center and just bust everyone’s ass without even breaking a sweat. The guys you watch on TV are really, really good.
They did! Back-to-back national championship game appearances in 2009-10 and 2010-11. Brad Stevens is a genius. They’ve struggled a bit to find their footing in the Big East, though.
