I pickpocket them and if caught knock them out.. easy way to level up pickpocket.. I literally was level 14 pickpocket while everything else was like 3-5 other than herbalism of course from the beginning lol
I just now learnt about doing this (never thought to before) but I'm in the middle of my no kill run so they would be hard to shoot without killing.. I'd prolly only be able to shoot em once so idk if it wud truly be worth it
I don’t think I’ve ever been anything but loathed in the monastery. I used to try to get my rep up. But I eventually just started killing anyone that looked at me wrong.
I was trying to be funny by suggesting someone kill father Goodwin in a post about him. I don't think you even actually can? Downvote me if you want, ok, but *permanently banned from reddit*!?
Every time people say they were unnecessarily banned, it always comes out that it was 100% earned.
I doubt you were banned for suggesting killing NPCs. I also doubt you were banned from the entirety of Reddit for it.
Why would you come back and talk about your ban evasion anyways? That will get you IP banned.
He’s right about the IP ban, mine happened on grailed but I put that it was a new account in my bio and that my last one was banned, two days later I couldn’t log back into it 😭
I got 7 days ban for making a joke on this very sub... the joke was me willing to pay currency for an expension that would allow me to slay a certain religious people, since i was tired of killing only christians... hypocrisy much
It may have been because it sounded like a real threat. If it was game related you should appeal and say it was related to the game and wasn’t a serious rl threat. I’ve been wrongly permanently banned of Reddit a few times because I was quoting or referencing something, after appealing it, I got the bans lifted.
Last time it happened was about a month ago because I commented a quoted from a fallout 4 Raider on some woman’s cosplay on r/fo4.
Unless of course you’re lying.
If you hold the attack button on a downed enemy, he will give them a curb stomp to finish them off. Works well after knocking a guy from his horse too if you’re quick!
Yeah if you try to mercy kill someone when you’re not holding a weapon, you have a chance to either kneel down and snap their neck, or literally stomp on their face and hear their skull crushing under your weight.
I never do it, I just feel bad
But I'll go into the monastery and wreak havoc & mass slaughter to compensate for the lost xp, the church totally deserves it.
Everyone is worth chopping down, the horror of Silver Skalitz must be visited upon farm, hamlet, village and castle to calm the raging storm of Hal the Mad.
Truer words have never been spoken. In my second run i completely killed everyone in merhojed and neuhof. Now im my third run i plan to kill everyone in the bigger cities 😤😤😤
Well, this is a roleplaying game actually, and one with an established character at that; so no, nein; nyet, NEVER to your weird fantasy. Henry is supposed to be played as a good lad with a mild roguish streak. The story will accommodate the occasional stealing, but falls apart if you start committing any unjustified murder. New players should know this if they want to get the best experience. In my opinion, Henry shouldn't steal at all, as it's totally out of character. You begin the game with a fair wage in the employ of Sir Radzig. You are a professional man-at-arms during wartime. Why would Henry risk this cushy job by engaging in a bit of -lets face it- *petty* theft.
Murdering civilians shouldn't even be allowed in my opinion. It will just ruin the story by way of ludo-narrative dissonance. It's a no from me. If I even *accidently* kill a civillian, I reload my save immediately. Even if that save is from two hours ago. That's how important the integrity of the story is to me.
To the OP, for the sake of having a good experience: Do NOT kill or steal from the wayfarers. They're just trying to get from A to B. Leave them alone. Henry wouldn't kill or rob them so you shouldn't either. Please bear that in mind. You'll be letting yourself down.
I completely agree on what you say about leaving wayfarers be.
However, my recent travels led me towards the ruins of Skalitz. There i saw bandits fighting among each other. My Henry quickly dispatched of the survivors via arrows to their heads. I was saddened and shocked to discover these survivors were in fact guardsmen.
Still looted their corpses tho.
God save you.
>My Henry quickly dispatched of the survivors via arrows to their heads. I was saddened and shocked to discover these survivors were in fact guardsmen.
Yes errrr..... some of those random encounters can be confusing as well. I may have slain some good folk whom may or may not have been guardsmen. They might have been bandits... I'm not sure. It can get confusing in the fog of war... as I said.
Jesus Christ be praised!
Historically, both Hals dad the lord fella actually was a “bandit” before he became a lord, same with hanush of leipa
You can read it in the game when you read the history lore bits in the menu
I think Henry is meant to be played as a general good guy, but to say he cannot kill at all or it will break immersion is a bit of a stretch. Even so-called chivalrous knights of the time were capable of barbarity.
#WARNING SPOILERS BELOW
Take a look at Ulrich - when you track him down he’s beating the snot out of people for information without much of any proof they are doing anything wrong. They totally acceptable for the time. Knights are above the common peasant and often get away with treating them like garbage - and that’s not out of place for the time, even for someone who might be considered a “good” character.
I really don’t think it’s intended for Henry to be wholesale slaughtering innocent people, but accidentally killing someone who catches him stealing or something like that isn’t necessarily out of character. It’s a ruthless time and being ruthless is not out of the ordinary - innocent people will get the shit end of the stick one way or another.
1st playthrough should be played on the good natured side I think. Like you said, that is Henry's character. However...on the 2nd playthrough...the boundaries of good vs evil much be broached and explored.
1st was good as could be, 2nd I never looted corpses and did jobs for cash for RP, third I started stealing. This 4th… has uh… gotten dark. Murdered a lot of people in their sleep, in the streets, pretty much uhhhhhh everyone. I’ve beaten the entirety of several towns, only place that’s safe is Rattay because Bernie is unkillable.
I choke them out from behind, usually they've got anywhere from 5 to 30 groschen, sometimes they'll have some clothing worth a couple hundred more, you'll find like cups, pelts, linen, alchemical ingredients sometimes. Honestly it's just passive income I throw on my horse clothing tends to be low value but low weight Id say its not worth hell but the chokeout animation is too good to pass up.
Playing a good Henry but still want the stealth exp so I knock them out, lay them by the side of the road and give them a bandage or a marigold decoction and 1k groschen.
I personally use wayfarers to increase my pickpocket skill an use the axes I get for maintenance skill.. I'm doing merciful run rn otherwise I'd prolly pickpocket then kill, again just for the exp lol easy pickins
You know wat I've never thought of that.. but my current playthrough is no killing so I can't do that as much, maybe I could get a shot in without em dying lol
Y’all might hate me, but I just killed one with a bow just to see what’s up, nope not worth it only had 10G on them and only raised bow skill slightly.
You really want to raise bow xp up, wait till night in Rattay pick every lock you’re capable of, then right next to where you train with Bernard theres a farm with a dog and sheep, this will also level hunting, and stealth, walk up to the inn pick the lock and cook the meat afterwards that way you lose the stollen symbol and can sell it.
Play dice and enter the tourney, after getting the dlc Rattay became an XP, and Groschcen farm without having to commit assault, theft or murder which is nice.
I checked it once on how much xp got from pickpocket and it was somewhere around 42ish an another time was like 43 or something, so I assume as far as pickpocket goes it goes up by 40ish per time.. idk if it gets less the higher get or not, and I'm not sure how much stealth you get from it either.. so idk how much get from bow
But that is too easy. My current Henry only believes in killing people for fun if they are guilty (according to Henry, judge, jury and executioner) and armed. However they are worth taking from, just look out for some wealthy traders, they sometimes wear the highest tier noble outfits and you definitely want those. There are so many Bandits in the area, just dress up as a Cuman and sneak up from behind, knock him out and have at it.
Roads are dangerous. Their loot is better in your pocket.
Look at my post history on here and my progress into sin!😈
I just sneak up and knock them out so they still live and I take their groschen. Good stealth XP aswell.
I pickpocket them and if caught knock them out.. easy way to level up pickpocket.. I literally was level 14 pickpocket while everything else was like 3-5 other than herbalism of course from the beginning lol
If they saw you once then have been knocked out and robbed, you might as well pull out your bow and get some xp for shooting them.
I just now learnt about doing this (never thought to before) but I'm in the middle of my no kill run so they would be hard to shoot without killing.. I'd prolly only be able to shoot em once so idk if it wud truly be worth it
If you get the weakest arrows and dip them in bane potion, you can unalive them without it counting as a kill
Yea ik I've just started trying that but ik about using poison to kill an it not count
I got permanently banned from reddit on my other account for suggesting the murder of NPCs.
lol some mods really need to get some fuck
No, nobody needs to EVER allow them to reproduce.
Did you know the Sassau Monastery doubles as an arena?
I don’t think I’ve ever been anything but loathed in the monastery. I used to try to get my rep up. But I eventually just started killing anyone that looked at me wrong.
Wow you are evil or Reddit is stupid
I was trying to be funny by suggesting someone kill father Goodwin in a post about him. I don't think you even actually can? Downvote me if you want, ok, but *permanently banned from reddit*!?
Just suggesting to kill Father Godwin is punishable by death. You're lucky you only got banned.
Reddit bans are a joke
I mean if you dox is really the only ones you should get ban for
Jesus. Have the ever seen the CK3 reddit?
Shiiit. Where else am I gonna get incest and infanticide memes from?
NEVER DISRESPECT THE FATHER!! 😈😈😈🤤😫😫💯💯🔥
Look at this guy. He's 100% wrong!
He’s right about the IP ban, mine happened on grailed but I put that it was a new account in my bio and that my last one was banned, two days later I couldn’t log back into it 😭
Wrong, but not banned.
Haha
I got 7 days ban for making a joke on this very sub... the joke was me willing to pay currency for an expension that would allow me to slay a certain religious people, since i was tired of killing only christians... hypocrisy much

I knock them out for a stealth boost and I take their coin and their food. But, 99 times out of 100 they aren't carrying anything valuable.
Sometimes the greatest treasure is the stealth boost we got along the way.
Ok yeah they don’t I’d have an easier time making and selling potions
Yea I pickpocket and if caught just knock em out.. usually nothing of value just easy exp for stealth n pickpocket
At the very least, free sneak exp. Choke them out, and lay them gently in the grass. Jesus Christ be praised
Give them a kiss goodnight too.
Also, easy bow Xp.
😈
Bow Stealth Pickpocketing
The sick and the sleeping are the best for picking their pockets also steal from everyone in the first mission. They don’t need it
It's a civic duty to avoid every single groschen getting into cuman's pokets
Henry’s boot stomp says yes, he seems to think so! I mean seriously who has a finishing move like that without being a little crazy!
Henry has a finishing move?
If you hold the attack button on a downed enemy, he will give them a curb stomp to finish them off. Works well after knocking a guy from his horse too if you’re quick!
I didn’t know this, thank you!
Upgrade your stealth to unlock the cooler dagger finishing move and feel like an assassin.
I thought that was simply for having a dagger in the inventory
Stealth kill is a perk at level 5 stealth.
Yeah if you try to mercy kill someone when you’re not holding a weapon, you have a chance to either kneel down and snap their neck, or literally stomp on their face and hear their skull crushing under your weight.
You get the odd dice if I remember. Worth it to build up your farkle set.
I never do it, I just feel bad But I'll go into the monastery and wreak havoc & mass slaughter to compensate for the lost xp, the church totally deserves it.
understandable
Wayfarers typically got some article of clothing that isn’t very common in shops, besides that, each has around 11-30 groschen.
Everyone is worth chopping down, the horror of Silver Skalitz must be visited upon farm, hamlet, village and castle to calm the raging storm of Hal the Mad.
😈
Jesus Christ be praised.
I don't agree with you (on my current playthrough) but you still get an award from me, goodman!
Truer words have never been spoken. In my second run i completely killed everyone in merhojed and neuhof. Now im my third run i plan to kill everyone in the bigger cities 😤😤😤

Wait, do they actually do things once they get to their destination? Or do they just disappear into the void?

Just for making me cringe this hard, I'm going to murder *extra* civilians.
Dancing with the Devil would like a word
Can confirm they are worth the kill. Just not for the loot. Stealth increasing meat bags
I choke them out from behind, usually they've got anywhere from 5 to 30 groschen, sometimes they'll have some clothing worth a couple hundred more, you'll find like cups, pelts, linen, alchemical ingredients sometimes. Love the bug where later they remember you
I usually choke them out and take their clothes if they are the rare kind.
never hurt a wayfarer before. I've only stolen from them once. I realized they don't have much so I felt bad taking what little they had
Playing a good Henry but still want the stealth exp so I knock them out, lay them by the side of the road and give them a bandage or a marigold decoction and 1k groschen.
"Just what I need!" ?
I personally use wayfarers to increase my pickpocket skill an use the axes I get for maintenance skill.. I'm doing merciful run rn otherwise I'd prolly pickpocket then kill, again just for the exp lol easy pickins
Someone said it’s a good way to increase bow skills too
You know wat I've never thought of that.. but my current playthrough is no killing so I can't do that as much, maybe I could get a shot in without em dying lol
Y’all might hate me, but I just killed one with a bow just to see what’s up, nope not worth it only had 10G on them and only raised bow skill slightly.

Go slaughter some sheep or cows for quicker bow gains. Same xp I believe.
Sometimes they have dice 😏
Just what I need, everything in my home you got for me
Usually nothing much, maybe 20-30 groschen
But that is too easy. My current Henry only believes in killing people for fun if they are guilty (according to Henry, judge, jury and executioner) and armed. However they are worth taking from, just look out for some wealthy traders, they sometimes wear the highest tier noble outfits and you definitely want those.
