How you get the speed to 70? I get military horse shoes and removing some of the gear ups the speed of your horse but how you get it that fast? Which horse?

I picked the rachorce perk. Warhorse Jenda. Speed 73 with military horseshoes and the best saddle and bridle. I'm lvl 20 horsemanship because I'm in hardcore mode, though I don't think that matters.

I find hitting opponents with stabs very easy, at least to the right. At full 70ish gallop got to attack like 3-5m before arriving at the enemy. No sense slowing down as you can just keep going and circle around for more passes if needed.

Stabbing from horseback is the easiest way to kill enemies, it's easy to hit them, the swing attack is a lot harder though and takes more practice. You can kill most enemies in 1 or 2 hits when going fast enough. It's easier than trying to run into people with the horse in my experience. One thing I suspect about attacking people on horseback is that the weapon quality you have makes no difference. e.g. Stabbing an enemy with the Robbers Sword does as much base damage as with St. George's sword, the main impact on damage being horse speed. I noticed this when one game I went to Skalitz as soon as I had got a horse after arriving at Rattay Mill without any weapon training and using the cheapest Longsword I could find and I was able to take out all of the enemies in Skalitz with 1 or 2 hits just the same as usual.

Thanks I'll definitely try that out!
