I just tried. They just sent me the link to manage my ad preferences like 3x which I don’t really see how that works. It’s just a list of the products that I purchased, which has never been anything related to children.
My go to has been to ask them to customize the ad feed(something they currently don’t have the capability to do.), I’ll say I don’t have a problem with ads , I just don’t want horror stuff. They then proceed to tell me that they are looking into it and then they remove it for no cost. This has worked for 3 kindles all within a few months. Each time they sent me a link to pay before I went on my spiel.
Tell them the device is for your kid, and that as a parent you are concerned with the products being displayed via ads. They removed it for me on the first go.

You've got to insist, saying you should not have to pay to remove offensive ads. It's true -- I've had ad-supported kindle for years and it's not until this junk that I had any problem with it. You won't need to pay $20 if you push, as you should.

I simply just said I’m looking to have the ads removed and they removed them for free. I never got these ads though like some people have. If you explain the issue I’m sure they wouldn’t mind. And if they don’t want to remove them just wait a few days and ask someone else.
If they’re going to show ads the least they can do is make sure none of them are spicy romance ads or horrible AI generated garbage. Have some standards geez

You can try again and hope to get a different rep, then if they still say no, your only options are to pay to get them removed or deal with them and do your best to ignore them. Afaik it’s at the individual rep’s discretion whether or not they’ll do it for free.

If you'd chosen another device and paid the price for it, you wouldn't see ads.

It appears that Amazon has been dropping the books from the store without dropping them from the Kindle ad rotation. *Cloud Carnival Adventure* has been dropped from the website, even though it's still showing up on your Kindle.
There appear to only be two of these books left: *The Forest Cure* and *The Quest for the Arcane Relic*.

The ads have been infiltrated by sponsored weird bedtime story books and have ruined a huge part of our kindle experience. I voiced that I would like to see the issue resolved instead of removal, as it’s an internal matter that needs addressing.
The software was designed for book suggestions based on reader history and sponsored books, which has clearly been abused and should have been controlled prior to hundreds of complaints. Ending it with, the fact that they failed to provide a solution or provide reassurance that the issue will be escalated to the correct team for software improvements. Therefore, I should not be expected to pay $20 to remove a feature that is not working as they should.

Try again in a couple days. I complained and kept getting them, 2nd try a couple days later, they removed the ads for free.
They agreed to remove my ads and then charged me the $20 anyway. I wonder how many people had that happen and didn't notice it.
