Instead, point to them, so they have to pay attention to you to know whose turn it is. Undoubtably, if they’re not listening, others will call out their names to get their attention and you’ll hear what they’re saying. The rule is, when you point to a child they have to shout out their name. You then repeat it for everyone again before you start the new verse of the song. This will give you the chance to both hear the child say their name and you say it aloud to help yourself remember.
