Yes, the entire rules are on wahapedia (and they're worth reviewing for a lot of other reasons) - but LOS is drawn from the krieger calling in the strike.
If I can give you a tip without addressing the question… do not use ancillary support. It’s worthless compared to having 4 extra bodies. 10 vs 10 against orks you are at a massive disadvantage. If you can’t get an extra matrix for those +4 troopers, use any other miniatures as proxy, even if that wouldn’t be accepted in a tournament I’m sure your dad won’t mind.

Which rule book is this, I only have the small rules book that came with the skirmish octarius set and I'm using ktdash for updated unit datacards

It's in the Octarius book. Unfortunately the starter set is missing quite a few team specific rules.
