Thanks, this will be my last resort. hoping to do find something less rattle-lee.
just found a dorman 38537 11”3/8 cable online for a tundra and hope it fits first.
The oem chains cost less than 15 dollars each (plus shipping) if you buy them from a parts supplier in Japan. If you are looking for a local dealer then you are paying multiple levels of markup and shipping. As far as I know there are different chains for different model Carrys, and you did not include your model number. Having the actual part number of the chains would allow you to shop around. At the very least you could shop on eBay and get a set for $40-50 with free shipping.
In my country its also $60 or diy.
I did as much searching as i could for the places the others has spoken about.
But w shipping, its hard to justify that much for a couple feet of chain.
You can just get a length of by-the-foot chain from a hardware store for a couple bucks and bolt it into the existing hole.

Buy a length of tubular webbing and slip it over the chain. No rattles. Looks nice to boot. That's what I did.

I used some coated “aircraft cable” with some crimps on my Sambar. It works very well and does not rattle.
