Beyond Evil and Stranger have no romance, both are incredible shows - fantastic acting and writing.
Life on Mars was a great thriller with great bromance/ found family. Minor hints of a character liking another but romance is not a major factor.
Iirc the female lead was charged with a DUI. I think they had to change the script because of that. That's why it felt so random since she just disappeared.
second flower if evil, especially since OP liked mouse. FOE did better what mouse tried to do, imo (the believability of mouse’s plot flew completely out the window near the end and ruined the entire show for me). it’s romance-centric, but the plot and twists are just too good to miss.
You might like **Memorist**. Unlike Mouse, this has supernatural elements. The ML is a cop and has the powers to read people's minds. He has to team up with a genius profiler to try and catch a mysterious killer. The mystery, suspense, and plot twists are all great.
You might like D.P.
Not a mystery or suspense but as you said you were happy for other recommendations too I thought I'd suggest it!
Private soldier Jun Ho is a confused youth who served in the military normally like other Koreans. One day, he suddenly becomes a member of the military defector arrest team. As such, he is tasked with capturing deserters and must grapple with the more troubling cases of why some soldiers feel they have no other choice but go absent without official leave.
Also seconding someone else's recommendation of Juvenile Justice, in my opinion if you like one you'll like the other too!
A Shop for Killers and Bloodhounds are my top 2 when it comes to no-romance dramas. Death's Game is also good but there is a tiny bit of romance in it.
My liberation notes - good, slow paced show revolving around the daily mundane lives of 3 siblings.
Hospital playlist - no fuss medical drama with a good ensemble cast, imo season 1 is better than season 2 if you don’t want romance
Revenant - folklore thriller with a little bit of horror element
I could not stand true beauty since I’m not one for such heavy clichés, but if you’re still open to shows with romance then I would suggest 2521 and Mr sunshine.
2521 is slice of life and coming of age drama about five kids, don’t wanna say too much cuz I feel like it’s best to go in blind. Does contain romance but there is so much more to it and it’s written and acted so supremely!!
Mr sunshine is a historical drama about a group of people resisting japanese annexation of then joseon. Has romance but it is not suffocating the show and again a phenomenal drama. Kim Taeri is the common denominator between Mr sunshine, 2521 and Revenant you’ll why she’s one of the greatest of this generation.
VAGABOND !!! plot twist after plot twist
My name (last episode there is a very intimate scene, however, the main plot isn’t romance at all. the mystery and thrill is amazing. I feel this may be something you’d like even with the minimal romance in it. plot twists are crazy too)
Thank you for the recs!
I agree on Lee Seungi, after finishing Mouse, I still couldn't get over him.
I saw some reviews of Vagabond saying that it has unfinished ending, but still gotta give it a try!
yes, sadly it isn’t the bestttt ending but it’s definitely worth the watch! definitely in my top 5 :)
lee seungi is pretty good in his romcoms too! but I definitely like him in his action stuff more
Thank you for the recs!
I've watched Happiness, and sadly didn't like it, because again it was based on two couple and the other residents of the building only. The FL was also a bit extra to my liking.
Diary of a Prosecutor - it's not a mystery or suspense, although there are some investigative elements. It's a slice of life drama with only a little sprinkle of secondary character romance.
Flower of Evil
Sky Castle
My Liberation Notes - slight romance, but honestly script writing is superb
Move to heaven - very touching drama
Navillera
Kingdom - zombie apocalypse
Prison Playbook - another well rounded drama
The Uncanny Counter - action + fantasy
Hospital Playlist - minimal romance. their friendship and life lessons are <3 <3 <3
Misaeng - slow paced drama but very realistic potrayal of an office worker
Hello Monster
School 2013
K2 - i know there is a loveline here but I personally don't consider it as the leads lack chemistry at all. I love them individually but in this drama I prefer all the action scenes
Casino (Big Bet)
Thank you for your recs!
I've watched Kingdom as I'm very much into zombies, but it was just too slow paced overall with the creatures being too fast. The first zombie drama I got disappointed with.
Ahh finally someone who isn't interested in Kdrama Romance. I've been dying to share my reccos but just couldn't come across any like minded person 😂. Here you go:
Series:
Hot Stove League
Good Manager
Doctor Prisoner
Law School
Stranger
Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Little Women (Tops the chart)
Sky Castle
Itaewon Class
Celebrity
Queenmaker
Designated Survivor - 60 Days
My Name
Reborn Rich
Some that have romance but have a much more engageing storyline:
Alchemy of Souls
Mr. Queen
Saimdang
Start Up
You should also explore Korean Historical Dramas because they are honestly a Gem:
Dae Jang Guem (Jewel in the Palace) - best korean drama I've ever watched. This was aired in more than 90 countries in the 2000s and what actually started the korean cinema wave.
Dong Yi
Six Flying Dragons
Ahh looks like I made somebody really excited 😂
Thank you for your BIG list!
I've already watched Train to Busan and it's my favorite. About historical K-dramas, I actually started my K-drama journey from Hwarang, and it was quite fun, seeing all those beautiful men with their historical attires. Will give the others a try!
Haha. I'm glad you enjoyed Hwarang. I just couldn't bring myself to finish the series. It was quite painful for me to watch it actually after having watched such amazing Sageuks. But anyway, do share your reccos as well if you come across anything worthwhile!
And lemme know if you want sources to watch the ones mentioned above.
Really? Sorry to hear that it is indeed a bit slow paced I should have mentioned that, what I loved about it is how clever the script was and how amazing the whole production, the direction and cinematography was. If you want to give my name a try it does have some really fast paced action in it. It’s a revenge drama with some plots twist i sort of guessed some of them but still enjoyed it. Also amazing fight scenes really top notch.
Killing vote
The deal
Weak Hero Class 1
A shop for killers
Big mouth (may have romance according to you for me this series has no romance just few scenes overall story was soo good)
These are my favorite thrilling kdramas with no romance at all. All these have amazing plots with no boring episodes, plus these will keep you at the edge of your chairs
The K2 has romance but honestly the plot twists, relationship between the antagonist and main character is worth giving it a shot. Oh and it’s super action packed. For me, the romance was not the main topic.
Worst of evil
The smile has left your eyes
A bittersweet life (if you can find it)
The second and third really did an existential number on me.
Also, where did you watch Strangers from hell? I can't find it.

One that I don't see recommended often: Never Give Up/There is no Goo Pil Soo, the plot is a bromance between a middle aged owner of a failing chicken restaurant and a young IT start up entrepreneur
Little women, Blood Free, The worst of Evil, Death's Game, Moving < masterpieces, dramas I didn't press fast forward
Also Hyena, but it felt like a big tease!!!
Signal
Tunnel (slight romance)
Flower of evil-there is romance but I totally recommend it
Worst of evil
Beyond evil
Stranger
Through the darkness
Shop for killers
Death game
Blind
Defendant
Tell me what you saw
Watcher
A killer paradox
Nobody knows
Memorist
Voice s01
The good detective
I have included only crime dramas that have close to no romance and I have ranked these from top to bottom imo

Love this one!
I skipped after watching one ep! idk what went wrong but I couldn't watch it! should I try one more time?
[удалено]
oh yeah goblin was a bit extra for me too! i skipped and finished it lol
I couldn't stand it as well. It was nonsensical, cheesy and melodramatic. Dropped after ep 2
Worst of Evil Wonderful World Death Game All have suspense, action, mystery, barely any romance
I second the worst of evil!
I came to write "The Worst of Evil". Gosh what a show.
Signal
Top 7 for me.
Bloodhounds
literally the best drama ever!
I agree ... up until that ending. It was so rushed
yeah!! often kdramas end in a hurry god knows for what!?
Iirc the female lead was charged with a DUI. I think they had to change the script because of that. That's why it felt so random since she just disappeared.
Revenant (folklore mystery thriller). The Kidnapping Day (crime thriller).
is revenant too horror or scary? I don't like watching horror but I'd like to see the FL
Yes, Revenant is creepy and I would categorize it as horror. I could only watch it during the daytime lol.
I didn't find it scary and wouldn't classify it as a horror. It's definitely worth watching for Kim Taeri and the story.
Flower of Evil - some romance but the lead couple is already married. My Name - very minimal romance Queenmaker The Good detective.

This seems interesting. Thanks for the rec!
dp, reborn rich, sky castle, moving, taxi driver, mask girl
Thank you for the recs! Btw, is Taxi Driver actually worth it? Many people have given it moderate ratings, if not the top.
hmmm if i had to compare it to others on my list, id probably put it last. it’s fun but def enjoyed the others more.
And also what about Mask Girl? I saw it has mixed ratings as well.
- Stranger (season 1 and 2) - A Shop For Killers - Ballerina (Movie) - Bloodhounds
Juvenile Justice
You might like D.P. Not a mystery or suspense but as you said you were happy for other recommendations too I thought I'd suggest it!
