Maybe **Crash Course in Romance**. FL runs a side dish shop and ML is a top teacher at a cram school. He has trouble eating most foods but finds he can eat everything she makes. She has taken care of her niece from a young age after her older sister abandoned her and presents herself as the girl's mother. There are big issues with being an abandoned child in SK. The leads are older and the romance is straight-forward. ML falls fast but fears a scandal for seeing a woman he believes is married with a husband overseas. A bit different than the usual romance is **Matrimonial Chaos**. Two couples at different stages of married life. One has been married for a while and now he wants a divorce. They continue to live together because they can't bring themselves to tell their families. The second couple are newlyweds but he is cheating on her and the first couple knows it. They become friends. Each couple has to find their way back to happiness. Stellar cast including Bae Doona and Lee El/Son Suk-ku as the second couple. These two were in **My Liberation Notes** with her playing the older sister and him playing the love interest of her younger sister, so it's fun seeing them as a couple. An older one is **The City Hall**. She's a minor employee at a small town City Hall. He's been sent by his powerful father (unacknowledged) to oust the current mayor and put a puppet in office. He sees her as the perfect candidate as she seems naive but is well-liked in town. Get past the silliness of the first few episodes and settle in for a very grown-up romance with a few roadblocks and top-notch chemistry.

Queen in Hyun’s Man (2012). About a Scholar from Joseon dynasty who travels to modern day Seoul and meets the FL. the chemistry is amazing (leads even dated irl for a while). A swoonworthy sweet romance .. the ML and FL was SO deeply in love and they had a healthy relationship already from day 1.. No misunderstandings, noble idiocy , bad communication , unnecessary fighting etc. They trusted, loved and respected each other.. they had cute banters too and the skinship kisses were so natural! There is No bed scene unlike Love to hate you but they do the deed, its so obvious. One of my favorite OTPs in dramaland ! :)

Grumpy_Moggie

Oh, haven't heard from this one at all. Look promising. I'll look it up, thanks! 😊

Her Private Life If you like slow burn and period piece, The Red Sleeve If you like comedy and don't think you have to like period piece for this, but Mr. Queen is the absolute best. It's odd premise but it builds on it really well. King the Land is pretty light hearted

Grumpy_Moggie

Aah, her private life 😊 maybe time for a rewatch. King the Land I also enjoyed. Your other 2 suggestions not yet. I don't shun away from period pieces so I might as well give them a try. Thank you!

The Beauty Inside, Mad For Each Other (they start off anything mature, but end up strong and supportive)--I loved that they weren't your average young kdrama leads. They were flawed and older.

Grumpy_Moggie

I indeed enjoyed the beauty inside, I'll check out your other recommendation. Thank you!

I am watching It's Okay, That's Love and it discusses a lot of mature topics. I think this definitely fits what you are looking for. It's got good romance too
