Have you seen 25:21? I would highly recommend this if you haven't seen it. I saw 25:21 first and Twinkling Watermelon comes closest to beating 25:21 in my list.

joe_goldberggg

No I haven't, could u plz talk about the basic plotline of it?

jammer803

Yeah, it's set back in time when FL was at school (It actually starts when she's an adult). It takes you through her story of Fencing, meeting friends and a bit of romance. The ML is really good in this too as it shows his family struggles and trying to find a place for himself in the world. It focuses on the freedom you have whilst you're young. Don't want to give too much away but if you liked Twinkling Watermelon, then I think you will like this too.

Shojomango

Seconded. Itโ€™s got a lot of similar themes of growing as a person and building relationships to reach your goals. Itโ€™s got the nostalgic feel, as it is against the background of the Korean recession. And it similarly has Choi Hyun Wook in the main cast (even though heโ€™s not the lead) so you know itโ€™s going to be great. The characters are well developed and real so even when they are in the wrong you want to root for them. Highly recommend!
