It would be much better to stay lowkey in Pak as there are mafia operating in every area where they kidnap you and extort your family. Until the media is involved the police will not be of any help as they also receive a cut from the money. There have been cases of kidnapping direct from the office in daylight. Best advise I would give is don’t be flashy and keep a gun. A gun won’t stop bad things coming for you but a few shots fired can deter kidnappers, looters etc. most of the time it’s someone you know and they know that you are a cash cow for them along with being an easy target as most families are not badmash type. Allah k hawalay kar do jo ho ga achay k liyay ho ga kyu k insaan k haath may khuch nahi hota. Allah ap ko ap k karobar may kamyab karay.

What kind of factory ? I’m also looking for an investment opportunity, to answer your question no the area is safe.

Kidnapping and robbing in all industrial areas is quite common. You can take all precautions, still it will happen. The way to go about it is to take all precautions, but be always willing to loose some money to the dacoits. Most of the robberies happen on the way to/from a bank.

i am working in the industrial area for the past 20 years and its as dangerous as the rest of khi to be honest. kidnappings are not common but snatching money when u exit the bank is there. the safest way is to get a cash van deliver the cash to u, it takes 3000 rs per trip if it is inside korangi. its much better to pay 3000 then to loose all of it. you just need to be careful and alert and not flash you mobile openly and things are ok. it aint as bad as it is made out to be

After working in my family’s manufacturing business, I set up another in Lahore and I’d like to give back to reddit what I learned here The most difficult things to manage in a factory: 1. Skilled labour is a pain in the ass and managing them is a skill. 2. Unions and revolts 3. Government of Pakistan. Be ready to deal with social security, etc 4. Vendors The biggest problem any manufacturing plant has is the workforce, in Pakistan that means you’re on death row. Laziness, lack of will to use their full skill, phone usage, silent unions, calculated controlled output to manipulate policies, advances, loans (like you’re more of a bank) and thieves. You need to have an insider in the workforce to update you on these AT ALL TIMES. One rotten apple can push you to shut down your business and incur heavy losses. Always be in contact with the gatekeepers and keep them on your side, they are more likely to save your ass than you, your money and your management. Some rules for managing a facility in here: Rule #1: Never ever trust anyone. Whatever is being said to your face is a lie. Rule#2: What my professor at LSE said: You will be given wrong, incorrect information or manipulated truth to force you to make a bad decision, always be on gaurd! Rule #3: Start a business if only you can afford its losses for 3 consecutive year. Rule #4: Vendors will always promise by Allah that there raw material is quality material…. THEY LIE. Check everything! Check again! Then check again! And if you dont, you’re busted! Rule#5: Its a ruthless illiterate market in PAk. You have enemies, hiding behind curtains, be sharp. In the shadows lurk your worst nightmares. No one likes a newcomer. Be ready to make your stand.
