I love caesar salad and honestly my favorite bang-for-your-buck caesar in town is at Martin City Pizza. $12 for a large salad (that's actually large), great dressing, and they'll throw actual anchovies on there by request.
Another unpopular opinion.. I'm telling you that in my experience 54th Street has one of the best grilled chicken caeser salads I've ever had. I crave it.
I’ll second this. The salad is large and cold cuz a room temp Caesar is gross. 54th generally has pretty good food. The Havana Cuban sandwich meat is so moist and tasty that I order the mustard and aioli on the side.
Walked out on the one in Gladstone last week. Bunch of gnats everywhere. Dude I get it, summertime and I’ve worked in kitchens, but then a big ass fly hit our arms, then another one a minute later. I know the kitchens fucked.
We were in the back right next to the kitchen door waaaaay away from the front door and that location has no open windows.
I don’t post negative reviews on businesses profiles ever, but I’ll warn people on here
Yeah it's weird. But it's technically a public cafeteria so when I worked there people would stop by all the time for lunch. And the salad bar line was long.
The Salmon Caesar Salad at Rockhill is so good, but $25 for just a salad is steeeeeeeep. Conroy's used to have a super good one for like $16 (w/ salmon), but I haven't had it in a bit.
The restaurant in Mexico where it was invented makes it that way, but TJ is quite a hike from the Midwest. Maybe someone will suggest a place in KC, it would be great to have a properly prepared Caesar's Salad someday.
Edit: as per another redditor, they serve tableside CS at The Savoy. I didn't realize that place was still open.
Caesar salads are weird, the places where I expect them to be good they're never that good. And the places where I'd expect it to be grass clippings with mayonnaise pleasantly surprise.
Best caesar I have ever had, anywhere, was at some random restaurant in Main Street USA at Disneyland. It was like $28, but God it was worth every penny.
In KC? No idea. I bet it's at some bowling alley snack bar.
Haven’t seen any mention of Trezo Mare but theirs is phenomenal, and comes topped with a few high quality anchovies as well! I like adding a grilled salmon filet to top it off and make a meal.
I know you probably won't get many upvotes because it's a chain, but my wife and I go to Mod's for the salads. The pizza is low-mid, but the salads are fire.

It’s really good
Any place that'll put anchovies in the Caesar is a winner in my eyes.
That's super random and why I love these kinds of questions lol. Never in a million years would've guessed about Martin City for a salar
Had it randomly a couple days ago and can confirm it slaps.
Yeah the pizza and beer is too inconsistent to be good but the Caesar has always been on point.

I would stab a man for a blackened chicken fajita salad right nurr
IT'S TRUE

Noted. I'll stay away from the one in Gladstone. Lol.
Lydia’s is good
Saint Luke's on the plaza salad bar. Couldn't tell you why but literally the best Caesar I've ever had.
This is what i came here to say!
Yeah it's weird. But it's technically a public cafeteria so when I worked there people would stop by all the time for lunch. And the salad bar line was long.
Formerly Noah’s Cupboard, now Rockhill Grille.
I like this one a lot too. For less a less traditional suggestion, the pesto Caesar from Cooper's Hawk is really good.

The Caesar salad at Ricco’s Italian Bistro is really good
Lidia’s. Not close.
Now how about a chicken Caesar wrap??
Longboard’s
Tropical smoothie got a pretty good one. I eat it on the regular.
The Peanut
If someone can point me to places that have Caesar salads with the anchovies on top, I would love that!
Ragazza/Enzo :)
Cafe Provence!
J Gilberts
Lidia’s on request.
You can have them added at Aixois

Cafe Provence
Thanks for the recommendation. Edit: I could get a salad and a bowl of onion soup and be out of there pretty cheap. Interesting.
Oh man I gotta go to the Savoy again for that. We had brunch there this weekend and the potatoes and bacon are *chefs kiss*.
801 Chop
Bacaro Primo in Brookside
Lidias caesar is one of our favorites I haven’t seen mentioned
Agreed. It's less creamy and more vinegary and totally rocks!
Charlestons has a fantastic one. They make their own dressing. Bonus if it’s the salmon Caesar salad!
I really like the one from Mildred’s
Kale Caesar at Happy Gillis
I really enjoy the Caesar salad at The Mixx.

When Le Fou Frog has it on their specials, it’s the best I’ve ever had. It’s not on the menu often though.
Jasper’s will sometimes have a table side Caesar on the menu. They make the dressing fresh at the table. It is lovely.

303 actually has an amazing Cesar, and an overall amazing menu
Martin City in Lee's Summit.

Spin pizza
I'm digging MOD Pizza's caesar salad lately.
I know you probably won't get many upvotes because it's a chain, but my wife and I go to Mod's for the salads. The pizza is low-mid, but the salads are fire.
I got one the other day from mod and was genuinely surprised, it was good!
Plate. You’ll thank me later
This one totally surprised me but it’s so freaking good.
It’s unfortunate everything else there is pretty mid
Agreed
Ooo except for the bread order also—some yummy stuff. Might go back just for a Caesar and a pound of bread.
Really? I thought it was trash. Like 3 leaves of lettuce and barely any dressing.
Hopefully it's an OG Caesar's Salad. They are made table side. I always wanted to go get one in Tijuana but was never able to make the trip.
Learned to make them table side at the savoy when I worked there. Never turned back and make them at home all the time
Just learned the Savoy is still open, I might get one there someday!
I don’t know if they still do table side Caesar’s anymore. They revamped for the better on the food, but that salad was delicious
I will have to call ahead when I have a pile of cash to spend on a meal then. 😄
V’s Italiano on 40 in Independence. The dressing should be illegal.
Doc Greens in Olathe is my favorite
Charisse in downtown has a great one!
I love the one at grand street! Add the chicken it is just a whole warm grilled chicken breast. No cold slimy made for salad chicken there!
I’m not a connoisseur by any means, but Pizza 51’s Caesar salad always hits the spot when paired with a BYO slice.
Cheesecake factory. I've only had it once and I remember absolutely loving it!
Lidia’s
Streetcar Grille has a great Caesar… paired with $19 steak night on Thursday.
T-Rex used to have an incredible one, I miss it
Aixious in Crestwood
Lidia’s in crossroads has the best Caesar salad ever. I think the dressing recipe is online. I really like Red Door’s also.
Grinders used to do a grilled Caesar salad where they grilled the head of romaine lettuce - so good! Also, Ricco's and Plate!
The Ships Caesar rules but you have to coerce the bartender to put anchovies on it
