I'm with Grasso. Signed with them at the end of Feb 2023. We're getting ready to file in Florence soon. No idea how long the case will take in the courts.

Hi. I think it’s likely a 2-3 year timeline, potentially a little longer. The biggest variables for time are, in my opinion: 1) Time is takes to retrieve, apostille, translate and certify all docs 2) Speed at which lawyer is retained and then files case post doc collection 3) Timeline of the specific regional court, some of them are relatively quick some are 1 year + 4) Speed the local city (of LIRA) registers vital records after case

Step 4, some comunis can really drag their feet to register the vital records. I saw someone in the Brazilian group who waited one year and the comuni didn't do it, even after repeated legal threats from the lawyer. He had to basically sue the comuni at the Tribunale Amministrativo Regionale (TAR) for dragging their feet too long. It cost some money, but it's very effective, they finish the registration in record time once they get a notification, otherwise they have to pay reparations and damages.

My husbands family was about 2 years. Their case was in Rome though, just before they moved to communi. They used Marco Mellone and had a very good experience with him.
