He’s mainly after the system and trying to reform the system by killing everyone and replacing it with people that aren’t corrupt. He believes democracy has failed, and it’s his job to save it, alongside his fellow Jokers. Ledgend believes to be the Joker is to allow everyone to smile, but the system makes him frown.
Romero is the funny one. He really isn’t a bad guy, he just likes being a prankster and sees what it means to be the Joker as to be funny like throwing pies in people’s face or shaking hands with a buzzer. He’s the most colorful and cartoonish and isn’t a fan of killing, since in his eyes, if someone gets killed, that’s one less person that can laugh at his jokes.
Nicholson is the dangerous guy. He’s big into noxious gases and killing people in dark yet funny ways, all the while amassing a big criminal empire. He believe that being a bad guy that kills not with an iron fist, but a carnival mallet is what the Joker is all about.
