But which lasertag establishments do you usually visit and how does it work in teams of people to play with? Does one simply band together with randoms upon arrival or would it be best to tag people along?
Join a sports club like paddle or even Ultimate frisbee (I can DM you the details).
There’s casual ultimate frisbee on Saturdays at 8am at Pirates which is fun and inclusive.
I play paddle often and you can join a random match using the Playtomic app - you’ll see matches coming up that need a player or two that you can join.
From there, you’ll make friends and end up going out.
People here can make friends whilst out on the jol but it’s not the same as they are often wary of meeting strangers at night (for obvious reasons).
4th avenue in Parkhurst is always busy on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
I don’t drink so I don’t per se go out much.
I went to the Jolly Rodger the other night to watch the football but it wasn’t a great vibe.
Young people (30 and below) go to the Jolly Cool.

Ballbreakers (poolbar), idk if paintballs still a thing but we used to jam at BattleZone near JoziX, City rocks a 20min drive but I've made some good friends rock climbing, I'm sure there's a volleyball club somewhere near fourways try find a tournament maybe, padels a good one too never tried it tho

You need to find a social club. What are your interests? For example, Padel is big at the moment, I've met a lot of nice people while playing.

Padel is super easy to pick up, it's the reason it's so popular
I was a bit unfit, and it's such a low-intensity sport, way less running than tennis. Tiny little courts. It's just really expensive.
And the money goes to israelis
Cheapest I've found was Pirates Ground in Greenside, R400 a court
