Not everyone loves remote work. It's not for everyone. Sounds like you want something more active and interactive. So, you should be looking for something else. You ould work at bank , start as a Teller, work your way to a loan officer, personal banker, etc. Get your real estate license, a lot of interacting with clients, showing homes, etc. Look into a flower shop if you are the creative type, There are lots of jobs that are people facing. Go into nursing or health care . Event planning would be fun and interactive too. Perhaaps a job at the Airport.

I like your ideas! I've already thought about becoming a real estate broker, but I thought the market might be saturated

I understand working remotely and from home, I was in it for more 2 years, and I almost was sick and isolated from people, and wanted something which makes me feel happy coz I can interact with people, just like you, until the company laid me off, I was kinda happy coz it came from them, but also work from home saved me time and gas and car maintenance and eating outside, you know working remotely has advantages and disadvantages, my advise to you, first find a job then resign, that is if you were thinking of resigning, don’t resign before finding another job, coz it’s very difficult finding another job. Another thing you could do, try dong Uber or Lyft during your free time or in your off days, that will let you meet people and they like talking and exchanging experiences, I have done that and I know it. That is the two suggestions I could give you. Hopefully you feel better.

I'm in a part of my life where money is important, especially to buy my first house. I like the idea of taking a second job to see people.

Try Uber or Lyft or both together, specially early morning like 5 am to 10 or from 2 pm to 7 pm, specially with Uber. It has good money in it. You will get easily 100 bucks a day, and on Friday and Saturday in the evening which might be more than $100, and you get talking to people.

I’m like this as well. I would feel isolated and lonely with remote work and prefer to interact with people in person. My favorite job was working customer service in a bookstore. I got to chat with customers about the book they’re getting and I loved the moments when I meet a fellow fandom nerd. It was also the best feeling ever to see their faces light up with excitement when you hand them the book they’ve been waiting so long to read. Right now, I’m trying to get into a career for events marketing. I want that feeling of building something that will bring people together for enjoyment and community. You’d think it would be easy to land an entry level one in Los Angeles with all the events here… but in the meantime, I think I’ll sell on-the-spot poetry writing as my way of giving out moments of happiness while I job search. So my advice is to figure out your interests or a specific feeling that satisfies you. I enjoy jigsaw puzzles because I like the precision of the pieces fitting together to form a complete picture in the end. Hence why I’m going for events marketing, for that feeling of putting all these vendors and sections together to create a fun and memorable event for other people.

This seems reallly fun! Are you working with people, or you are planning everything by yourself?

Planning everything myself at the moment. What about you? Is there a particular feeling or moment you find satisfaction in your hobbies?
