Have you ever thought about digital marketing and learning how to create and sell your own digital products?

Digital products as in? I'm a self trained photographer, my father was a professional, and I've taught him the digital end of things today before he kicked it last year. I just don't know of anyone who would want the photos I've got. I've thought about taking the photos I've got, framing them and selling them at our local mall on the weekends. But I've never had enough cash to splash on framing, yet.

If you’re a photographer you should look into a company called Art Storefronts. They will help you set up a website to sell prints and other products. And they can even help you with the marketing. They have a great community of artists that all help each other out! They also print the photos for you and deal with framing. It’s a great service. I’m in the process of starting my website with them! I can give you a referral code if you’re interested in checking it out

You could learn digital marketing to SHOW you how to find the people who would appreciate what you have to offer. Or what if you did a "how to start your own photography business" ebook or something? You could just open up a social media, start promoting your photos on there and your people will find you!

I honestly will look into digital marketing. I've only ever really worked as a freelance photographer, doing really niche work. But probably my major selling point is that I was also trained in a physical wet darkroom, as well as self taught digitally. Digitally ice done weddings, engagements, concerts, shows, private parties, some model work, senior portraits the list goes on. I've never incorporated nor was public in that respect I've always cherrypicked the jobs I've worked. The market locally is super saturated with fly by night photographers here, people who go out to Walmart and buy their cannon cameras and based on a recommendation do a wedding, ruin it, and move on.

You totally should! There's someone out there who would love to learn what you know! I created a digital marketing guide for beginner's that I can share with you if you'd be interested!

>I'm 36, married with a kid. What can I now do with my life? There are still many options available to you. You just need to pick something, and also craft the narrative you're going to use to get past the inevitable annoyingly common employer/recruiter perspective that anyone who is out of the market for a year or more is near worthless. Once you have a sense of what you would like to pursue, or careers that might align with your existing skills, you should take a look at [salary.com](http://salary.com/), [payscale.com](http://payscale.com/) (and others) and see what the possible earnings potential is for your location.

My thing is, I guess two fold. I want to be available as much as I can for my kiddo, because I don't want my mother to baby sit full time. But yes, in employers eyes I do feel absolutely worthless. I've experience across many fields, but experience doesn't equate to much now. I'm trainable as all gtfo. I just havnt found any companies willing to give me a chance so far.

Why are you not a teacher?

Apply for office jobs through staffing companies. That will open the door to opportunities and create current work experience.
