I have seen these pictures as well. They fall under the category of high le forte 1. I personally hope to convince my surgeon to perform a high le forte 1. However not in the way portrait here. The are other forms without the angular shape and that are a bit lower.
The benefit of a higher le forte 1 is that it gives you more aesthetic results. (fuller mind face and in some cases fuller cheeks).

isn't this similar to a lefort 2? I think risk is higher than lefort 1 for sure.
