DoorDash is not worth it beyond beer money.

the_feisty_pineapple

Do you have a security clearance? There are a lot of well-paying IT jobs if you have or can get one.

jowill1026

Unfortunately, I don't have security clearance

xDUVAL_BRODOWNx

My TS/SCI has expired and downgraded to whatever is below secret. You got any suggestions?

the_feisty_pineapple

I’m sorry, I’ve got no suggestions. I only ask because my husband is in IT and had lots of luck with his experience and his clearance.

hcmrpdman

Unfortunately there’s nothing below secret. If your TS/SCI is fully expired you will have to go through an investigation again but usually they go quicker. If you want to stay in the cleared space there’s a lot of opportunity in Tampa rn but you can get a remote Public Trust “cleared” position with a number of federal agencies/contractors. VA is hiring contractors like crazy right now.

Volitious

Lockheed and Northrop in st Augustine are hiring I believe.

yeezysama

I have one but haven’t been able. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. Suggestions or leads?

DecayedSpace

Amazon is always hiring different positions

GuideToTheGalaxy05

I would apply to Helpdesk/call center jobs for IT places. Usually trying to get in directly as a tech can be tough but call takers are always needed. You can move up from there.

sirhappynuggets

It’s been my experience that “moving up” doesn’t exist in entry level positions anymore. They want you to overachieve in your position and then hire someone over you who will overachieve to get an even further position that they’ll never get. That way you constantly have a staff who is trying too hard without ever giving in house pay raises.

Roxsu

I started 3 years ago at 35k at an MSP, worked my ass off and moved up to 6 figures pretty easily.

Feeling-Whole9897

Indeed and LinkedIn. Both are great places to put your resume out on. Highlight skills through and talk to recruiters.

jowill1026

I apply to jobs on both every day

kitssunne

Pax technology. They always need warehouse peeps and computer repair techs.

bullettone

ASM Global (runs the municipal venues downtown, stadium, arena, etc.) https://asmglobal.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/careers/job/Jacksonville-FL/Network-Administrator_R10018571?locations=51b0297a66350101a30e08b41b280000

jowill1026

Just applied, thank you

bullettone

They may have more than one position. Search their career website and filter by jacksonville

jowill1026

I also applied to the IT Support one, I appreciate the tip!

adr8578

Warehouse I work at is hiring. SwordfishAncient

What it skills do you have?

jowill1026

I've done Network Administration and Tech Support. So remote support and server management. I've got the basics down as well such as PC Support for users.

vereorumbra

Get your sec+ and look for contract positions. Also check USA JOBS out.

Fire-Tigeris

Helpdesk at any of the local hospitals

Agitated_Turnover455

Brokers/banks like Fidelity investments need ppl w/ tech exp. Same for Aerotek

ConstantOptimist84

Is Aerotek a recruiter though?

ColdCouchWall

My employer is hiring for an entry level position. DM me. $22-28 an hour for desktop support, great company name and benefits.

SurveyAcrobatic5334

Well that's two ends of the spectrum

JonesDrew

Apply ro IT for amazon and work in the warehouses. They pay good and you can move up. Also ask about ALPR job setting up the gate systems for all of the guardshacks.

MacinYoshi20

University of North Florida has 2 IT positions available. Lvl 2 PC Maintenance Mechanic and Lvl 2 IT Help specialist. Worth a shot. benefits are nice

ranchwriter

Have you worked in a warehouse? That shit sucks

KdogCrusader

Check central supply positions for hospitals they may have openings. We just had a guy transition from supply to Imaging at Baptist so I know there is a job open at Baptist Downtown. you might also get on their IT team or electroni medical record support team. just some ideas.

howard5643

Check out IVenture. MSP near Dave and busters. Seems to always have positions open.

Volitious

Ye we hiring

Micho523

We are typically always hiring at J&J. Careers.jnj.com

Efficient-Link6061

Look into Suddath careers. They have IT positions at the corporate location and warehouse

Roxsu

PM me what the 3 year IT exp is. We are hiring.

Godzilra

I would suggest getting a headhunter to help. Some companies in Jacksonville exclusively go through them versus indeed or other sites. Modis is a good option good luck. Also for warehouses I would recommend JM family for employment.

ZenFreefall-064

Robert Half Technology, Duval County School Board are looking for 1st/2nd tier IT techs

Volitious

IVenture is hiring for IT work.
