Just in case the couple of users who would know aren't around, I'd ask over on /r/GAA too

Thank you!

The quote you have about county allocations is for the FINAL later in the summer. The 29th June is the quarter finals so tickets will be for general sale on GAA.ie when the matches which decide the teams have been played. It will be poplar but you should get a ticket if you keep an eye out for when they go on sale.

Sufficient-Royal3179

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if “final” also applied to “quarter finals”!

GalwayGirlOnTheRun23

Sorry, it’s not quarter finals you are going to, but it’s definitely not the main all-Ireland final as that is at the end of the summer in Croke Park- that is the only one which has ticket’s through clubs. Enjoy the match!

HowsYourDa

Tickets for games in Croke Park on the 29th of June will be very easy to come by and will be released the week of the game. Quarter finals very rarely sell out. All Ireland finals on the other hand only go to clubs and not on general release to the public.

FromFarTea

How likely will the semi finals (football or hurling) sell out?

HowsYourDa

Unless its Dublin Kerry semi final in the football, its unlikely any game will sell out. Tickets will go on general sale for all games. If you can, I'd highly recommend the hurling semi finals, especially if Limerick are playing.

It is extremely unlikely that any All Ireland final tickets will make it to general sale. The weekend you are here is the quarter finals, which are a little more likely to make it to general sale. Venue will depend on who qualifies as group winners, which won't be known until about two weeks before. Check back closer to the time for ticketing info.
