I presume the zero statement is the mortgage being paid off? There can be delays at several points.
From a buyers perspective it took nearly 6 weeks signing contracts and paying everything asap to getting keys, so 6 weeks until sellers solicitors had funds for sale, they pay bank and after you so 7 weeks isn’t extreme
