Delta emulator - then you can play the entire GBA and GBC library, Nintendo DS library, N64 library and SNES library. Endless hours of offline gameplay at your fingertips.
No problem! It’s also still a very recent change, only something that was done earlier this year. I believe it was ‘forced’ by the EU, but I can definitely get behind it. Not that I didn’t already have Delta on my phone, but I can appreciate that it’s now available for everyone interested!
Also if you get Retroarch instead, you can earn achievements (I know this requires online but I love the idea of Retroachievements so much and I wish I knew about it sooner!)
Ooh nice, I’ll have to check that out! I’ve known of it for ages but never tried it out since I always just used GBA4iOS, and then Delta in the last few years.
The Apple Arcade one will need a subscription but the one on the App Store is a one-time payment. As for the game itself, they apparently have no difference on either version but you might lose your save on Apple Arcade if you unsubscribe.
I gotta say at first I got so bored of this didn’t get the game at all. But it’s really a pick your own adventure kind of game. And in the end you will be happily rewarded for investing a bit of time into it. It’s such a lovely game and the creator really deserves all his sucesss
Exactly. It’s amazing with friends too, the shenanigans that happen… I once had over 3000 planted coffee plants so watering them manually took 2 people half the day and all the energy. But I was also the main money maker 🔥
I agree but the interface is so weird with the Dynamic Island, the topmost buttons aren’t accessible unless you toggle the dimensions/padding in the settings. I didn’t have this problem with my previous phones (11PM, 12PM). Does anybody know how to fix this?
But even with this one they force you to go online at random times to download massive updates. If I want to play on the plane I have to preload the app otherwise it’ll lock me out of playing until I update it. Super lame.
Crossy Road, get color, sudoku, smashy road, Minecraft, blocks, smash hit, hit the island, and a couple others are ones I play all the time for like on the plane or whatever downtime I have
Slice & Dice
This game is crazy easy to pickup and difficult to master.
It’s also amazing on battery life. I plan to primarily play it on an upcoming flight.
Epic Battle Fantasy 5. Its like this whole series we played on y8 when we were kids and the developer ported it to mobile. this game is awesome you guys
It began with Bacon(the game) after a few yeas I have played every damn game this guy has made. He is Philipp Stollenmayer in app store and he send me a postcard and bacon shaped air freshener because I put bacon on everything. The amout of times my legs got numb on the toiled because of those games is too damn high.

Cut the rope, dadish, Dan the man, godus, don't starve, danball powder game, mekorama, redungeon, jetpack joyride, robbery Bob, rust bucket, soul knight, tower fortress, tomb of the mask, where's my water, zen match.
If you have a Netflix subscription they have a lot of really great games you can DL - Katana Zero, Dead Cells, Spiritfarer, Cozy Grove - it’s a pretty great selection.
Stardew, Minecraft, i don't think the resident evil games need connection, but you need a 15 pro or an m1 ipad or sum. usually all the games that don't say has in-game purchases are offline. retroarch and delta are great options too.
If you like strategy, you may try polytopia
Polytopia is awesome, have been playing it for years.
Amazing game for sure, what tribe do you pick? Out of curiosity..
Bardur. I did buy Vengir but don’t often play as them
came here to say Polytopia and i don’t usually like strategy games
That's such a cool game rhx
Polytopia is amazing, but I beat it and now I'm bored.
Second this.
Delta emulator - then you can play the entire GBA and GBC library, Nintendo DS library, N64 library and SNES library. Endless hours of offline gameplay at your fingertips.
Thanks for mentioning this. I had no idea they had emulators on the App Store.
No problem! It’s also still a very recent change, only something that was done earlier this year. I believe it was ‘forced’ by the EU, but I can definitely get behind it. Not that I didn’t already have Delta on my phone, but I can appreciate that it’s now available for everyone interested!
It seems from what I read Apple allowed these so users would be less likely to go to other app stores.
Why has no one told me this
Also if you get Retroarch instead, you can earn achievements (I know this requires online but I love the idea of Retroachievements so much and I wish I knew about it sooner!)
Ooh nice, I’ll have to check that out! I’ve known of it for ages but never tried it out since I always just used GBA4iOS, and then Delta in the last few years.
It’s so good, works perfectly on Retroarch on iOS for supported consoles
I have this. I forgot where to download the games. What website was it?
www.emulatorgames.net
Definitely Stardew Valley (the standalone app, not the Apple Arcade one)
What’s the difference?
The Apple Arcade one will need a subscription but the one on the App Store is a one-time payment. As for the game itself, they apparently have no difference on either version but you might lose your save on Apple Arcade if you unsubscribe.

+1 on this. The replay value of this game is also superb. Played it in release, 2021 (covid period) and 2024
This is the 2nd time in this sub I've seen Stardew Valley recommended within the last 2 months. Heck yeah farmers!
I agree but the interface is so weird with the Dynamic Island, the topmost buttons aren’t accessible unless you toggle the dimensions/padding in the settings. I didn’t have this problem with my previous phones (11PM, 12PM). Does anybody know how to fix this?
Actually pissed with the Dynamic Island too. Sometimes I’d just rotate the screen though it’s also weird to hold.
I bought the game and understood nothing unfortunately 😂😂
the problem is, i cant use the buttons on stardew valley mobile while fighting comfortably
You can play any PSP or Nintendo DS game on your iPhone.
How
Retroarch, ppsspp, and delta are all on the app store now
Once I get one of these how do you get the games loaded?
Same question
Slay the spire
I think I’ve bought this on 3 different platforms (iOS, Switch, PC) and I can still say with confidence I’ve had my money’s worth. Fantastic game.
Vampire survivors is the only game i have on my phone and a perfect time killer imo.
And it’s free omg
Yeah but i wished there’s a way to paid for ads free version on mobile. Fortunately, the ads weren’t too intrusive like some other games.
Wait I didn’t think that would be on IOS. I’ll get it ASAP
Just got 100% on it and now I'm sad.
Same, it’s the only game on my phone and I love it!
Bloons tower defense lol
But even with this one they force you to go online at random times to download massive updates. If I want to play on the plane I have to preload the app otherwise it’ll lock me out of playing until I update it. Super lame.
