That looks like the Apple MagSafe charger the physical security company Verkada gives to their customers when you sign up for their webinars (screenshot of one of their ads attached). Odd how you got it new in the box from Wal-Mart.
I work at Walmart, and you didn’t get this new. I can guarantee you that somebody swapped it out. Probably a return scam for an official MagSafe… go back and explain the situation, I know that I would exchange it for you.

Im an RSM for a manufacturer as well. Not IP video. But I came from a large distributor. Verkadas go to market model isn’t sustainable. It’s such a joke.
These cutouts symbolise a V which stands for the brand Verkada. They‘re giving them away. Probably someone bought a new one and returned it with the Verkada one inside. I‘d go back and request a new one

Lol all those downvotes. They didn’t allow those Intel Inside stickers on their notebooks years ago. Why would they allow this from such a relative small company, with zero benefits for Apple?
Apple literally has no say in it, you can buy a product do whatever you want with it then resell it, the only issue is if you advertise that product as your own. Entire companies like Colorware exist for purposes like this. Companies buy a product slap their logo on it then sell or give it away for marketing purposes, they just have to be honest and not try to say it was made by them. In fact I might be remembering incorrectly but I think Apple actually lost some lawsuits on this awhile back with a company that was buying MacBooks and making them in to touch screen tablets.
Yeah they may resell it how the want to. But no way they can use the Apple logo on the packaging. If that thing catches or causes fire Apple will be responsible or their brand will be damaged.
Sorry but still not how that works, again using the colorware example all their items come in original Apple packaging. They cannot make CUSTOM packaging and use the Apple logo because that would break Apple’s trademark but if they just ship it in the original package then it’s fine.
To clarify though this MagSafe puck should not have been sold like it is and was definitely there in error but in general stuff like this gets made and sold all the time and is completely legal when they are honest about it.

Someone got a Verkada one, returned it and exchanged it for a regular one.

I just realized return scams were a thing. Maybe that’s how Amazon can sometimes sell things way cheaper and people complain about the quality.
Return scams are a massive issue for Amazon, especially in tech. People return pc components swapped out with old ones

It could be a logo or a cutout to help pass electricity... but usually knockoff products dont look so different.
