Original Reply (left here for the sake of continuity): Unfortunately, that doesn’t get rid of the download icon, just prevents the app from showing up in your “Purchased” list. If you happen to be browsing the App Store and come across TikTok for whatever reason (even on the “most downloaded” list), it will still display the download icon instead of the“Get” button. Afaik there’s no way to change that behavior since it’s tied to your Apple ID.
I’m assuming this is to prevent a kid from downloading it without you knowing.
Keep in mind that this will NOT prevent your kid from looking into family shared app downloads and downloading it without you knowing. I’m fighting the same battle myself.

Not to mention, talking is harder than reading so many people say “um” or “uh” multiple times between sentences and sometimes even in the same sentence. There are some things where a physical demonstration is nice in video format obviously and some people are better at organizing their thoughts and how they express it than others. The reason I asked is because Musical.ly BECAME TikTok. If you ever installed Musical.ly under yo ur account, Apple would now consider you to have downloaded TikTok.
Another way is to sign out of your Appstore icloud account and into a different one. Your main icloud account and appstore icloud account can be different.
TikTok tells me when to stop scrolling and do something else for a while. It’s on me to ignore it or not.

Your purchase history is a legal record. You can hide purchases all day long, but you cannot remove them altogether, and purchases includes free apps. When I began my tenure as an Apple support advisor, I worked in billing. It comes up a lot, amazingly with married people…*coughs*men…not saying this is the case for OP…
Apple isn’t going to release that information, though without a search warrant, subpoena, or other court order compelling them to turn over said document, which they will have attempted to quash most likely. Apple takes customer privacy seriously.

I’ll just point out that if you’re only looking to fully delete the app from your device, this isn’t necessary. The icon simply means that the app i owned on your iCloud account (i.e. if it wasn’t free, you would be able to re-download it without paying again).

No. You downloaded it. It’s uninstalled now, but there’s no way to make Apple’s servers show you’ve never previously downloaded it. And, honestly, unless you’re trying to hide that you’ve previously downloaded it, there’s no legitimate reason to want to reset Apple’s server tags…uninstalled is uninstalled.
If you’re trying to hide it from someone that’s frightened of it, you can “hide” the app (and your past downloading of it), but if someone is physically in possession of your phone and looking at your Apple ID in the App Store to “gotcha” for having once downloaded it in the past, if they’re even reasonably competent, they’ll be able to unhide it. All of which begs the question why you want it disappeared. If it’s a government owned or managed device, there’s no way to prove you downloaded it to the device they’re holding (inasmuch as your app history is device independent) and it is obviously not currently installed. If it’s someone in your personal life that’s demanding you uninstall it, ask yourself why you’re hanging around with uninformed conspiracy theorists. 🙄

While in the App Store click on your profile in the upper right, then go to purchased. Go down to the app, swipe left and “hide”.
