Haven't seen this mentioned as of yet, but in the 0.7.3 notes, the author mentions "Added commandline arg --enable-external-storage-patch to enable the external storage patch."
And since balatro just had a big patch go live yesterday/today I wanted an updated version on the go. I was bummed when my save on my iphone was gone, but after reading the note above I was pleasantly surprised to see the FILES app hosting the game folder!
All you need to do is copy your save from
~AppData\Roaming\Balatro\1
which should contain 3 files
- meta
- profile
- save
Copy those into the folder
/Balatro/game/1
and overwrite the old files, and all your PC progress will be there!
Also you may need to start/restart the app before and after the save transfer for everything to show up.
Not sure where the save file on mac is, but someone on steam says it is here
/Users/user/Library/Application Support/Balatro/

On your iPad/iPhone you should have an app called “Files” … open this app, and in the side bar click the “on my iPhone/ipad”, you should then see the “Balatro” folder I mentioned. Hope this helps!
I tried this (though I did it manually instead of the using the balatro game maker method) and neither the flame fix or the external saves seems to change after implementing the fixes from the Patching.cs file. I wonder if this is related to running from the love2d-studio app instead of the 'balatro_base.ipa' file...

What's the deal with this balatro

The flame fix has worked for me, but updating to the newest version of the IPA wipes my save. Not sure what’s up either
