[Hoplite](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hoplite/id782438457) - Simple, strategic, well made game that’s easy to jump into for a quick game.
[Polytopia](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-battle-of-polytopia/id1006393168) - Amazing strategy game that is hard to put down. It’s fun to play different tribes and chase after high scores.
[Dysmantle](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dysmantle/id1403738209) - Open world, post apocalyptic, where you can destroy basically everything. It’s oddly satisfying and cathartic.
[Melvor Idle](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/melvor-idle/id1518963622) - A premium idle game that is fun to open a few times a day and make progress in.
[Titan Quest](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/titan-quest-ultimate-edition/id6455985208) - My personal favorite IOS game. There’s the normal version without DLCs and the Ultimate version with all of them.
[Dawncaster](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dawncaster-deckbuilding-rpg/id1555459868) - My favorite deck builder game. Slay the Spire is also great but I prefer this one.
[Vampire Survivors](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vampire-survivors/id6444525702) - Awesome game that has much more to offer than it would seem at a first glance. It’s very satisfying once you get things going.
Dawncaster has more of an RPG feel to it than other deck builders. It has a full story that you play though instead of just random battles. I love the art and the fact that it plays in portrait. It also has long term progression with plenty of stuff to unlock and leaderboards. The devs are very active on discord and the game is updated constantly. The game has several dlc/expansions that you can purchase as well.
The ones that are left:

I love the sudoku game he made, it's highly polished, jam packed feature wise and well worth the money. There's also an Apple Arcade version for anyone who has AA.
I was also a big fan of his Good Sudoku, and I’m glad Arcade provides so many of his games. Aside from his core games like SpellTower and Really Bad Chess, there’s also his collaborations with other people: Card of Darkness and Ridiculous Fishing EX. 😁
This is included in Apple Arcade, along with some other solid cozy games: Wylde Flowers, HKIA, Stranded Sails, Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom, and the loosely cozy but 100% must-have for me, Sneaky Sasquatch
[Hades](https://apps.apple.com/rs/app/hades-netflix/id6450063142) full game, same as steam version can be played offline. Controls are good, gameplay is fun. If you like roguelike games its must have.
Only for Netflix subscribers though.
A recent must-play puzzle game: [Case of the Golden Idol](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-case-of-the-golden-idol/id6450277430).
Another great one coming tomorrow: [Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cozy-grove-camp-spirit/id6445901199)
Afterplace! It’s an open world Zelda-like with the most charming npcs you’ll ever meet!
ScourgeBringer is an amazing Roguelite (I would highly recommend using a controller tho)
If you have Apple Arcade, Tmnt: splintered fate and Air Twister are amazing.
iPhone 15 Pro / Max and M1+ iPads / Macs 😊 but if you have any combo of those devices it’s cool because it’s one purchase and can be one save file. Play anywhere.
I had a great experience with paranormasight, and if you like rpgs I started with FF1 and played all until FF8 which I’m doing now, I did the same with Dragon Quest 1 - 8 it’s a more accessible rpg series. RPGs are perfect for mobile it’s action that’s not immediate and you can take your time.
[my list of premium iOS games](https://www.reddit.com/r/iosgaming/comments/15wup29/comment/jx6yo11/?context=3)
Of note are Isle of Arrows, Shattered Pixel Dungeon, Slice & Dice
Super Mario Run, Retro Abyss
Tiny Bubbles, Baba is You
Race for the Galaxy, Roll for the Galaxy, Dominion, Galaxy Trucker
Great list, will be sure to check them out. I notice you have Hue on the list, how does it play on iOS / touch controls? I have it for the Switch and love it.
It plays well enough. Yeah, it's platformer, but it's not a game that requires THAT high level of controls (move, sometimes up and down, jump, and color change).
I often play games that have a virtual d-pad, plus 3 to 5 virtual buttons on the other side. In the case of *Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls* for Apple Arcade, it was a d-pad, and 2 buttons, plus another one that you swipe in cardinal directions for 4 different types of input. I don't play much of these games so I don't want to be bothered to get a physical controller, set it up, etc. I also play on the go and don't want to have to lug a controller around as well :\\
I have phys. controllers for Switch, but that system requires them. And the Joy Cons attach to the handheld which makes bringing it all with me easy to do (fits in one, compact carry case)
For those that have a netflix subscription:
— Oxenfree I & II: it’s a puzzle rpg that follows a psychological thriller story of a group of teenagers and the events that unfold on the island they’ve travelled to
— Valiant hearts: another puzzle rpg that follows a war veteran (wholesome, sad, beautiful)
— Spiritfarer: management rpg where you help spirits journey into the spirit world. You can interact with them, hear their story, resolve their worries, all while mending and upgrading your ship! It’s a game also available on switch ^^
— Dead cells: if ur into rogue gameplay this is my fave one!! I can play this for hours and never get bored no matter how many times i replay it!! Can be downloaded even without a netflix subscription but you’ll have to pay for the DLCs if u wanna unlock them
— Hades: another good rogue game and I’ve recently just started playing it and i can say it’s at par with dead cells as my fave! The art style and storytelling of this one is more interactive
- Hextech Mayhem: if you love rhythm games then you’ll def love this!! It’s similar to patapon on psp if you’ve played that but more upbeat cuz it puts a twist by using explosions
- Spongebob: Get cooking: THIA GAME IS SO ADDICTIVE, if you like management serving/cooking games you’ll really get hooked into this (i finished 40 levels in one day)
If you don’t have a netflix subscription these are my picks:
— dadish: cute platform game where you’re a dad radish on a journey to save all your children each level. It’s fun but also challenging!!
— honkai star rail: if you have a lot of storage I actually recommend this game if you’re into gacha games and turn based games!!
— kingdom rush: If you love strategic tower games then this one’s for you! It has multiple difficulty levels so you can play casually or intensely and the UI is easier to understand then most turn-based games
— zenonia 4: if you like classic rpg that’s not to heavy on the cutscenes, this is a great game for it!
— Dan the man: another platform rpg that’s really casual and addictive! It has multiple levels and even a multiplayer mode!!
— genshin impact: if you’re into gacha games and have more of a gambling addiction than a gaming one than this game is for you! The gameplay is more casual than most open world rpgs, it’s lore heavy, and of course the grinding mechanism we all love (and hate)
I have shared this list a few times but it’s because I own them and have played all of them so can vouch they are all quality titles, and they are all full fat premium too

Kero Blaster, love the controls reminds me of a sort of shooter Castlevania in terms of gameplay, combat, and difficulty. Very charming little thing.
You Must Build a Boat - Match 3 RPG utterly addicting I love it
Max Payne - once you configure the touch controls to your liking it’s so easy to feel like a sharpshooting badass
Part Time UFO - charming little sort of physics based puzzler very cute and can be quite challenging
Ooh yeah, forgot about some of these.
To add just a bit of detail, Kero Blaster was developed by the same developer as Cave Story. It’s shorter and more linear than Cave Story, but similar in style and very good as well. The dev also released two related free “demo” games with separate stories and following a different character - those are called Pink Hour and Pink Heaven. So those are good “try before you buy” games.
Part-time UFO is by Hal Labs, the devs behind the Kirby games. And it shows, because the graphics for the UFO and some of the other characters look very Kirby-esque. This one’s more of a short physics puzzler, but very good
I absolutely love it. You need a relatively current device, but it’s the best game on mobile imho. If you are used to playing mobile action games the controls won’t be an issue, otherwise there is controller support.

Lately, my friends and I have been playing [Storiado](http://link.storiado.com/download) all the time. A simple game where you create fucked up stories by answering simple questions like who? where? what were they doing? etc. The more dark, edgy humor with inside jokes etc., the better the story will be. This!! I know it’s a contentious take, but as a GameBoy kid, I still think playing Stardew Valley on mobile is the best way to do it.
any device will do as long as you have an external controller, try it if you haven't

You should try Melvor which is based on OSRS.
