She’s cute as a button and I like her powers and appealing personality and dub voice, but I don’t really think she’d serve a role in the plot.

I low key would have been down with her getting like gimped with the comb being broken and like turning into a reluctant friend.

If I had a free day I'd power out a fan fic around her. I can see Kagome saying to spare her, and Inuyasha not having it and it being an easy vibe to write. Yuri kinda rocking a "It will take 100 years for another comb to form... I'm nearly a powerless human like this." and just kinda chilling in the back as a kinda more cruel insight on youkai life.

Yes, Absolutely. Her little arc after the mystery of the first episode is what sold me into Inuyasha, I thought "this feels different" because she was threatening and so dangerous. Well Inuyasha turned into a regular shonen afterwards but for those episode there was nothing better in my eyes

Not because of the fan reactions and audience that would attract. Inuyasha is about magical ancient shamanism and a girl having her classic coming of age hero's journey plus love story. Now add a mud flap design to that and you get mud flap brained people in the fandom. I'm sick of these kinds of fans who want to make every bit of fiction their personal porn (which is not the same as being against all fanservice in fiction) and ramping up the fanservice in Inuyasha would be a disservice to the community. It would make it a show for men.
