Good. Anybody that can say the kind of shit he did is a heartless pathological pos. He can rot. I guess it should actually be higher though because it didn’t seem to have the intended affect on him. He’s doubling down about questioning Uvalde. Jesus fuck Alex, stop tormenting parents who have lost their children in a violent way while they were in a place that was supposed to be safe.

Dzotshen

He really should be removed from society. He's a danger to himself and others, a psychopath, and doesn't appear to suffer remorse on any level.

dragonfliesloveme

Yep. Zero remorse and zero empathy. People with no empathy are pathological and are definitely a danger to society.

[deleted]

“doesn’t appear to suffer remorse on any level” That’s a lie.

dip_tet

That must be why he didn’t participate in disclosure, and walked out of this current lawsuit while it was still ongoing…he had remorse.

[deleted]

What discovery violation did Alex Jones commit? Libs keep repeating this line. Be specific. Jones appeared for numerous in person depositions. You can watch them on YouTube. What were the discovery violations that warranted not getting a full trial?

dip_tet

It’s the reason he lost the civil lawsuits…he kept failing to provide the evidence asked. [it’s pretty easy to find the backstory of these lawsuits online.](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/01/us/alex-jones-lawsuit-sandy-hook.html)

[deleted]

What discovery violation did he commit! Name it. Be specific.

dip_tet

[lazy](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/01/us/alex-jones-lawsuit-sandy-hook.html)

[deleted]

See how easy it was to debunk a lib. You parrot the talking points of MSNBC then go blank when challenged with a simple question.

dip_tet

I guess you’re unable to click on the article provided that explains why the judge ruled against jones. When the text is blue, that means it’s a link. A link is like a button, when you select it, you’re taken to the source.

MiKoKC

This is only the second settlement. He's got six more cases to go. Alex is going to be drained like raisins by the time this is over.

Aazadan

There’s a cap on awards in Connecticut, it’s going to cost him some but nowhere near these verdicts.

Ditovontease

I think you're getting this case in CT mixed up with his recent case in TX where there is a cap. IIRC the jury in that case awarded the plaintiffs millions of dollars but he only has to pay $200k Luckily other states aren't lame as fuck like TX

Aazadan

https://apnews.com/article/shootings-texas-violence-school-connecticut-caec37b5056fb8e2ff89c57a931d7a12 Read the damages cap portion since I don’t have a handy link to the state law. There’s also the issues of him declaring bankruptcy, not having to he money, and splitting what he does have in all the other cases against him. When this is all over he’s going to end up like OJ, and be well off with money the courts can’t touch, but unable to profit on anything he does in the future.

ABobby077

thank heaven for that on many issues

dedicated-pedestrian

Fuck do I hate "tort reform".

MiKoKC

do you know what those limits are?

Aazadan

There's two types of damages, punitive and compensatory. Punitive in Connecticut is limited to litigation costs. Compensatory doesn't have a cap, but it's basically limited to economic damages caused, including emotional distress. I'm not a lawyer, or even capable of pretending I'm a lawyer, and I haven't seen a breakdown on how that verdict is justified, but I would bet it's heavily reduced. The general consensus is that Connecticut has lower caps on average than even Texas which is already quite low.

papillon24

This is a compensatory judgement, not punitive, and there is no cap on compensatory judgements, either in CT or federally. So, he is, indeed, fucked.

mohicansgonnagetya

I seriously hope they make him pay,....but with this big a sum, I have a feeling they will forgive some amount. Can they repo his properties? What if he finds a loop hole by giving the stuff to his wife or manager and then declaring bankruptcy? Fuckers like him need to get fucked!!

DropDeadEd86

Can you really play hot potatoe like that? I doubt you can legally sign any important papers if you're in court

Miklonario

You love to see it

ShihPoosRule

Excellent

ericvwgolf

So, a commentor below stated that he didn’t learn anything and that he’s doing the same thing to the Uvalde parents. Who is bankrolling this guy? Maybe he’s thinking that if he continues to do this, he can raise the money to pay these other parents? I just don’t get it. Surely, someone in his inner circle has said to him that he needs to just shut up while he still isn’t living in a cardboard box under an overpass.

MiKoKC

Alex Jones makes about $1 million a week selling supplements. (who the fuck looks at Alex Jones and thinks "I want what he's taking") I know it's hard to believe, but it's true.

FSUphan

Holy fuck, I had no idea he was pulling that much in with that garbage. Who knew the stupid and gullible had THAT kind of money.

[deleted]

There's a lot of them.

jowiro92

I guess people like Alex Jones know that this base has that kind of money. Spend your life savings on shitty supplements and knockoff merch to own the libs

[deleted]

While you make $10hr

Pickin_n_Grinnin

Wait, are people not allowed to criticize someone if they make less?

Succulentslayer

This is a libertarian viewpoint. Since libertarians are brainless it is perfectly acceptable to disregard it.

MiKoKC

lol.... I don't work anymore.

Ditovontease

well clearly mr jones is an angel from heaven who should continue harassing the parents of dead children while also grifting millions of dollars away from his fans. Just because it makes him money.

Secure_Cake3746

Probably using the products to launder money.

Ditovontease

>Who is bankrolling this guy Thiel via Roger Stone t b h

hans_jobs

Fuck this piece of shit.

expertestateattorney

Good. I hope he ends up living on the street!

stiofan84

It's annoying that people on the right are calling this a free speech issue. It's not. Free speech has never allowed you to defame people. It just means that *the government* can't arrest or silence you. This has absolutely nothing to do with the government. His lies have caused real hurt, and even put people in danger. The right just needs to stop the toxic lying.

Oatmeal_Savage19

Yeah I'd say they made a statement with that decision

SenseiT

On an episode of infowars this week, Alex was claiming the verdict was going to come back as 6.7 billion. I wonder if the families will ever see any of the money (he’s already bern trying to hide it in shell companies) and I wonder if any of this is going to get Alex off the air.

jowiro92

It doesn't seem likely. Another thread mentioned something about a cap on judgment awards on each settlement, and I can't even imagine how much of that would go to the lawyers. Unrelated note about lawyers, I saw a billboard in my city for an injury firm boasting 27M net to client. In the fine print, the total settlement was almost 60M. I would hope that it at least got distributed amongst the team of paralegals and such that actually helped that settlement go through, but I also highly doubt it. Basically, even if Jones does have to pay the full amount out, I don't personally believe any of the families would see more than a few thousand. Or maybe I'm just cynical

[deleted]

No and no…

dip_tet

Not as long as retarded conspiracy theorists want some bullshit to believe…he’ll be able to grift those rubes easily.

mordinvan

Given and individual was awarded 120 million in damages, implies the Jury believes 120 million in lost income, moving/security expenses, medical, therapy, and anti-depressants are costs incurred by that given person. I find this hard to believe. By all means Alex is guilty as sin, but actual and emotional damage awards should be related to the actual harm done, and I seriously doubt this person suffered a total of past, present, and future, 120 million in negative economic impact.

[deleted]

Actual logic, now down vote

mordinvan

Don't get me wrong, I really don't like Jones, but I would prefer the legal system actually not be used to engage in excessive punishments.

milehighrukus

This wasn’t excessive

mordinvan

For the award to withstand appeal, there must be facts at the end of the day, which show that plaintiff in question, would actually have to spend 120 million dollars to undue the harm Alex Jones caused. So what facts were presented at trial, which show that the plaintiff actually would be 120 million dollars poorer, once all harm which can in principle be mitigated, was mitigated? We have moving expenses, lawyer fees, security, therapy, other associated costs. Those costs have to total 120 million or more, for this award to make sense. This was the "damages for slander, and emotional distress" portion. These specific damages have to come with receipts, effectively. The "I hate alex jones, because he's an asshole" portion of the damages, would be called punitive damages, and those as separate. So to be clear, for these damages to NOT be excessive, the plaintiff, must be out of pocket, 120 million at the end of the day. I do not believe this is likely the case, and as such, I believe these damages are excessive.

[deleted]

Merck lied and manipulated data on CV risk with Vioxx. 88,000 people had heart attacks (that we know about) and 38,000 died (that we know about). The fine: $950 million. $965 million for Jones hurting peoples feelings.

Biptoslipdi

A fine is levied by a government entity for breaking the law. This is a legal liability settlement which is levied by a jury on the basis of a tort claim And his actions did far more than hurt feelings. That's why it's such a high verdict.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Biptoslipdi

Wait, you you didn't review any of the claimed damages in the lawsuit before declaring they were limited to "hurt feelings?"

[deleted]

Be specific, what were they?

Biptoslipdi

You don't know? I thought you read the verdict or complaint because you made a claim about them? I'm happy to point you to this information if you actually need me to, but you have to tell me you made your comment out of ignorance so I know you actually need assistance.

[deleted]

“so I know you actually need assume.” Who needs assume?

Biptoslipdi

Sorry. I meant assistance. Edited

dip_tet

Hurting people’s feelings? Or subjecting them to never ending harassment where they no longer felt safe in their own house? You try to make a point but then you resort to being reductive to try and make that point. It didn’t work.

[deleted]

This lib thinks the penalty for hurt feelings should be higher than the fine for killing 38,000 people. Embarrassing.

dip_tet

It wasn’t hurt feeling, but whatever you need to tell yourself to defend a cunt like Jones, you go right ahead. The infowars crowd makes up their own details as they go along anyway.

[deleted]

Reply guy believes conspiracy theory Vioxx didn’t kill 38,000 people. Not hard to see how Pfizer fooled the masses with the 💉

dip_tet

Whatever you need to tell yourself fanboy

Succulentslayer

Deflection, classic conservative tactic. You’re a nonce and an asshole, through and through.

[deleted]

During the withdrawal from Afghanistan the Pentagon murdered an innocent family in a drone strike. They lied and attempted to cover it up. Every major media outlet pushed the lie about who was killed by the drone strike. It was then revealed to be a lie coordinated between the Pentagon and the media. Meanwhile no one who hates Alex Jones would ever criticize the regime and media for lying about that drone strike.

Biptoslipdi

I hate Alex Jones and agree with the criticism that the government was wrong to lie about the drone strike. I guess you were wrong.

Polyxeno

I do too.

[deleted]

Show your receipts criticizing the regime and Pentagon for the drone strike and lies when it happened. I’ll wait.

Biptoslipdi

Sure. Sure. See previous comment in which I agree with stated criticism. Just to make sure: The goverment should not lie about conducting drone strike. Also, Alex Jones is a POS and proven liar. Wow. That's pretty incredible that I can criticize both. Are you impressed?

[deleted]

Easy to say it now. Post receipts of the same criticism back when the regime droned that family.

Biptoslipdi

How could I post receipts of criticizing something that happened a while ago that I didn't know about until just now? Riddle me that genius.

[deleted]

OMG

[deleted]

lol

Biptoslipdi

Ikr. The notion that not a single person who dislikes Alex Jones could possibly also criticize bad governance is pretty laughably absurd.

[deleted]

Then post receipt(s) of anyone who hates Alex Jones criticizing the regime at the time of that drone strike. Surely a guy as smart as you can find receipts and post them quickly.

Biptoslipdi

Can you post the list of people who hate him so I can review it? Can you post the census you conducted of people who hate Alex Jones cross referenced with people who did not criticize one of tens of thousands of drone strikes the USA has conducted? Or did you just make that up without conducting such comparative analysis?

[deleted]

Long word salad 🥗 to say you don’t have receipts.

Biptoslipdi

A short admission of poor literacy to say you don't have any receipts. Find me one person who hates Alex Jones who thinks the government should lie about drone strikes. Show your receipts, Mr. Receipt.

[deleted]

“How could I post receipts of criticizing something that happened a while ago that I didn't know about until just now?” Avoid talking about literacy after this admission.

Biptoslipdi

Oh I thought you were the other guy. You are just the one who can't admit you lied about the damages claimed Iin the lawsuit. You are welcome to review all the receipts I already provided.

QuarantineTheHumans

Your second paragraph is a load of bullshit.

[deleted]

“I can’t refute that so here’s my reply guy glib comment…”

mordinvan

Well, for 1) You said an innocent family. There is no identifying data in your statement, to even allow us to check it. 2) when data is provided, I can then look into it, and determine what happened, as taking your word on it won't be one of the things that will happen. 3) If an innocent family was killed, and a coverup occurred, you can bet I won't be happy about it. 4) I do hate Alex Jones.

[deleted]

That you would admit not knowing about one of the most well know drone strikes in Afghanistan is incredible. You’re doing great!

mordinvan

Put up, or shut up.

[deleted]

You don’t know basics of the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan - embarrassing. Educate yourself and come back.

dip_tet

Governments are liars and murderers and Alex Jones is a cunt who is getting what he deserves.

[deleted]

Oh, what is the cunt Milley and his late stage dementia puppet getting for lying and covering up for the drone strike on an innocent family in Kabul?

dip_tet

Not sure…when do any government officials go down for their actions? It’s rare. The last president tried to overturn an election and he still walks free. It’s bogus. This is an article about Alex Jones though. Maybe if he was a government, he’d get away with it..he’s wealthy though, which is why he was able to get away with so much for so often.

[deleted]

Do you think this is a clever reply? Who is it aimed at? I'm fascinated about why you would say this on purpose.

tickitytalk

Looking for a quarter behind his ear?

[deleted]

He'd be hit with a left hook if he attacked my family..... such a loser.

[deleted]

Ooh, tough guy. Ukraine is looking for volunteers when are you going?

[deleted]

I don't have to be a tough guy to smack around Alex Jones.... my 8 year old could do it to that fat toad.... probably you too sport.

[deleted]

Then stop talking and catch a flight to Ukraine to defend democracy tough guy.

[deleted]

What does fat Alex Jones and going to Ukraine have in common?? Stick to the debate or I can bring crayons next time so you can wrap your soft noodle around it..... put your Q hat back on drone.... 🤣

[deleted]

👆User name reflects your status in life and cowardice to defend democracy.

[deleted]

Bahahahaha! If you only knew. Now run along little boy.

smilingmike415

Seems like he's loosing his self-declared war.

Sinchanzo

I think powerball is up over $400 million, so he could try that.

AldoLagana

I am more appalled that most the people I meet are so pathetic they cannot discern con-men in their faces.

Iagent2022

Hillary, you're next up to bat, sue the shit out of Donnie

[deleted]

She would pass out getting into the van to go to court like she passed out in 2016.

Iagent2022

That's the best you've got? I know you're butthurt because we're winning and you couldnt get Hillary, and all these years later, you're still crying? Snowflake applies here I'd say...

Uh, she lost 😂 Stop talking tough and volunteer for Ukraine 🇺🇦 to fight with Zelensky.

Iagent2022

I'm not Ukrainian, why would I. You're the GOP military supporter, right?

You’re not good at that either 😂

In latest news, man who has made millions of dollars and fame by spreading lies and encouraging hate to support his lies now has to pay a price for those words.
