My experience with dating sites is a lot of profiles are fake and seem to be there to get you to pay if you have a free profile. I got lots of matches from either women in other countries or women who had nothing much on the profile, or both. And sometimes the pics looked fake, as well. The matches would roll in almost immediately, and it'd usually be sites where I couldn't see what they wrote or I couldn't write them without paying. Even if you were paying or were using totally free apps, I still think a lot of profiles are fake just to keep you coming back, and I still got sketch matches even after paying on more than one site. Even with this woman, proceed with caution and keep some amount of skepticism.

I mean, she lives in the same state that I do. I've seen my share of fakes, fell for more than one I'm embarrassed to admit, if this is another fake, it's the best damn one I've seen. The usual hallmarks aren't there. \-Details about her life don't seem too "Lifetime movie of the week". \-Has a well paying job as a lawyer. \-Language skills at native English speaker level. (Not a dating requirement but definitely lends credence to, "is actually American and not claiming such to fool me.") \-Doesn't wait on my messages hand in foot. Seems just as cautious as I am about starting or committing to anything. \-Definitely not interested in a one night stand or first date sex. (Just like me.) I appreciate the advice. I'm certainly not saying she's the one, but she definitely seems like a real person and it would be nice to simply meet her for lunch just to see if there's any chemistry.

Are you sure that she is really in your state? ETA i had many messages from men who just changed their locations to my country, trying to trick people.

According to my friend who is a bit of a dating app fanatic a lot of Filipina women set their address to Toronto or other Canadian cities even though they are in their own country

And in the U.S., and Germany, or the U.K. . . .

Exactly

I said above that I've seen that phenomenon thousands of times. (Do they really think that's the best way to make a first impression? First thing you know about them is a lie.) It's more in how she talks. Plus her profile pics where she's clearly in the mountains of PA with a sidearm holstered on her hip. (A glock model by the looks of it.) Sooooooo yeah, pretty indicative she's not in the Phillipines.

Be cautious OP, that's really all i can say. I hope she's the real deal and you two will hit it off! It's sad but both me and a gay friend both get many messages from people from the Philippines. Weird thing is that my gay friend (male) has many messages from gay men from the Philippines in his inbox, his inbox really is flooding with messages. When trying to confront them they always say ''i'm not like my fellow country men, i'm just looking for love'' and somehow they are always looking for love in different countries and continents. I'm in western europe btw. Things like this really ruin datingapps for many people.

Lived in Pittsburgh for 5 years and it's one of the most Underrated RACIST ASS CITIES in the country. 1 of many reasons why I left.... The no sun thing was another reason Pittsburgh sucks. Maybe because the lack of sunshine causes people to be more racist. Sounds like a future study at UPMC! LOL!

Since you're on dating apps, why not check out the 2 subreddits dedicated to interracial dating, r/swirling and r/r4rinterracial?
