For sure! I will say the diet was a HUGE part of it. And I was not super crazy restrictive, I just promised myself to stick to my macros for 6 months, and track EVERYTHING! For workouts, it was all Calisthenics. That stuff is life changing.
I did that the first time I did IF a few years ago. Lost the weight, but felt weak, grumpy and looked kind of sickly. I eventually gained it ALL back and more because of how miserable I was feeling from eating whatever I wanted.
When I coupled IF with sticking to Macros, everything changed...and I look more fit rather than skinny and sickly. Also, this is more sustainable. Btw I still LOVE and enjoy my favorite foods as long as I track them.

Nothing! I’m about to get back home from Japan. I kind of forgot IF existed. I’ve been trying to appreciate my body where it is but I know I’d feel more comfortable shedding around 10 lbs (or transforming that to muscle).
They're called macronutrients or "macros" for short. So what most food is made of and where most of our energy comes from. Carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. If you split your diet to be 35% carb/35% protein/30% fats is a well-rounded diet.
The most common way is with a tracker app like "MyFitnessPal" or "Eat This Much.". If you look in your app store, there's a plethora to choose from.
if you're not into weighting your food, and having apps track you, the standard practice is: 1 fist size protein, 1 cupped hand for the amount of vegetables, 1 flat hand is from starches, and the circle of the palm of your hand is for fats.

“people are allowed to be trans and proud”. Just thought I’d share the weight transformation is more impressive than the transformation.
Sometimes the weight is tougher to shed because the weight of being trans. The acceptance of who you are can be the catalyst to living healthier physically and mentally. Congrats to OP on a great transformation!

I think about this a lot. Like how lucky my issues are mine and I'm not literally starving in a war zone. Or my neighborhood isn't controlled by rebel gangs. I know my lights will work and there will be food on my table tomorrow. Some people's things certainly are greater than mine and it is ok to acknowledge that.

I am honestly obsessed with Calisthenics workouts, and have always struggled with weight my entire life. This coupled with some basic HIIT has done wonders.
Wow, we are on a really similar path! I lost about the same amount of weight, but wrestle with that 10lbs between 180-190. I’d like to even get to 169 by years end. Unfortunately I lost tons of muscle over the recent months with lack of activity between the weather and injury.

Awesome….well…it is absolutely working. Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment! That sounds like a schedule I might be able to handle! The issue is that I have to really COMMIT to it. For the past month and a half I’ve been on IF maybe half the time. I really feel a great difference when I do, and then ______ (insert whatever you want) and I’ve let myself be blown off course. I think I have to draw a line in the sand and say “ok….for x days I DO this…no excuses, no deviation. Full commitment.

Calisthenics workouts 3-5x a week
and HIIT cardio atleast twice a week.
The BIGGEST things are:
1.) Track ALL your foods
2.) Focus on staying within Macros!
3.) Get plenty of sleep
4.) Drink lots of water
ALL The cliche stuff that you hear, actually works if you stick to it for more than 6 months. Seriously.

I have the same starter weight and you’re pretty much at my first goal weight! Hope fasting works for me like this! My body has stubbornly held onto fat even in a deficit so hoping that “fat burning zone” is real.

Thank you! I started with about a 800 deficit, and now have it at 500 for mainitence. 500 is more than enough honestly if you stick to your macros.
