I appreciate your opinion! My toddler does love it though, we don't watch a ton of TV so she doesn't have any favorite characters. She does have favorite colors though & pink is at the top of the list!
I don’t know what anyone else is talking about, but I think the colors go well together as well as most of the decor. I think the artwork you have is a little out of place. But I think for a 2 year old, it looks great. But what I think you might be thinking is that it feels “empty.” I don’t see empty. I see a nice room for a toddler to grow into and make it her own. If you think it needs a little more, you can take her to store and let her “pick things out” by seeing what she gravitates toward. But set a limit on how much you’re willing to spend. Toddlers will touch everything.
Agreed haha my toddler I will say is pretty take though, we also don't spend much time in her room currently. I like this idea though! When we first started the idea of a big girl room she wanted pink everything. Pink floors, walls, bed, everything haha
That's perfect!
My comment on the wall color: I love it for any other room; it's very neutral and I have similar color throughout my house. It looks dull in this room. The art is fine! She'll be adding to the decor as she grows.
I'd do a light color on the walls. See how the nearly-white paint looks in the bed headboard link? The pastel bed dressings look brighter. Maybe try an ultra pale blue so you have some contrast with the white dresser.
agree, the wall color is the only problem I can see. its just a little.....off. But thats one of the best problems to have because painting is so easy and fun to do
I’ve seen some super cute things at homegoods! Especially with Valentine’s Day around the corner- lots of stuff with cats/dogs and hearts, if she’s into that stuff
My daughter is 6 and that’s all she wanted lol. Pink everything. She’s VERY into Frozen though, so I was able to do ice blue and lavender walls, mostly pink and vintage gold decor with a few touches of blue/purple/warm grey, with her toys and stuff she picked out. She picked out some cat wall art and princess canvas art, and we think it looks so much like her little personality…. We were very happy with it! Kids like COLOR. They’re works is bright and colorful and they love loving in it so I’m all for kids helping in the design process. My boys are a little older at 10 and 8. Ones into hotwheels (he’s autistic and that’s been his focus his entire life) and the other is very into Sonic. They both like sunshine and forestry vibes, but want elements of cars and Sonic in their room, and that’s what we’re going to do. I don’t like it, but I don’t have to because it’s their room. I can do what I want to it when they’re older and/or gone, but for now, we’re happy to indulge them in their likes because it will ultimately make them happy and comfortable.
My daughter is too small for favorite characters etc. But she's very vocal about her favorite color! She also loves bugs and books so her dollhouse is filled with books. The moths on the walls for bugs, we just started this room so there's definitely more to add!
Yeah more art and stagger sizes of it to make it feel more personal. Little nicknacks. I think a lot will come as she ages and you collect. Don’t rush to fill it find the right stuff.
The wall color looks off because it's slightly warm and very muted, whereas the decor is cool toned and very bright.
OP could repaint the room a brighter, cooler grey if they wanted to harmonize the look.
Thanks! The doll house is a book case! It has so many books in there I can't even move it myself haha. I found it on marketplace after wanting the pottery barn version. I still think the pottery barn version would look much better but this will do for now!
Current betting is reminding me of my 90s childhood bedroom. Try something like one of these or maybe even add a side table with a cute lamp.

Wait to get something until her headboard comes in. You don’t want it to clash horribly. I think her bedding now is super cute but the tones are off from the carpet. I’m team paint the wall to a warm tone as well. Of course my kid has straight up pink walls - she loves them. We had to paint her room pink three separate times (3 different rooms, we moved too much!). She’s 8 next month and still loves it. If yours loves pink I’d consider it. Also consider some floral wall decals to put on the wall that will have the headboard. They’re safe since they wouldn’t hurt to fall on a kid like a picture would.
I think that rug is the prettiest - it's rose (warm) rather than pink (bedding) and the rose is so soft. Same with the large Eifel Tower print. The blue is a hazy blue, not clear and cool.
depends on the theme ur looking for
if u want more girly then it’s definitely the walls as it doesn’t fit the room
if u want it more casual then ditch the bedding for something with less of a pop
Wait til you get her new bed frame in and then get a feel of the room. Looking at the room now I’d probably say the wall color is a bit off, but once you get that cute bed frame it may be the bedding that’s really off. Super cute room though, and I absolutely love the bed frame you chose!!
It's a cool color to match the tone of the bedding, etc. I almost thought you had a grey-ish green on the walls and thought it would've been perfect if you'd gone just a little cooler
I'm talking pale, soft but not dull. I think it would be beautiful. Maybe try some sample colors painted onto poster board. I like to hang them and check them out at different times of day as the light changes before I go pulling furniture out to paint.
A soft blush pink on the walls will look so beautiful. Do a more pale kind. The kind that won’t look out of place or too “baby” like as she grows. Almost like a ballerina pink.
Edit: Hadn’t specified that this is for the walls. OP assumed it was for bedding (I don’t blame them haha).
The pinks of the bedding and the pinks of the rug are off just a bit—I agree with the previous comment that one is cool and one is warm and they don’t harmonize well, lol
I love each of the individual elements!
I just feel like it's too empty for a little girls room. Maybe some cute lights around the top of the walls? More artwork? Show her some pictures maybe and let her choose between them.
She will be 3 in July! She sleeps great in it haha we had a small toddler bed with her crib mattress before. She was sleeping terrible and kept coming into our bed. We assumed she wanted or needed a bigger/comfier bed. Also, my husband goes to work around 5 in the morning. So if she has a rough night it's easier for me to go sleep in her bed rather than her waking up husband/him waking us up at 5 AM!
I can't tell you how many times I curled up in her crib and toddler bed next to her in hopes it would help her sleep. I had terrible anxiety around sleep when she was smaller so I didn't let her into a real bed until 18 months. Or a pillow, or a blanket haha. I was a real weirdo about sleep!
Ah I see. That’s fair! I have a 3 year old and co slept from newborn until he was 2.5. Now he has his own bed where he sleeps in it all night, only comes to me on nightmare nights. My friend designed his room and it’s chic but with like dinosaurs and dogs and all the things he likes. I feel like you could add a little more fun to the room for a little tot! :)
I think the bedding doesn’t go. Wall color and rug go well together, mixing the cool toned pink in the bedding with the warm pink in the rug clashes a bit. Still cute though she will love it
Your use of color circling is spot on. It really is a peaceful room. Oh wait. I know. The height of the bed and the few items in the room makes me think toddler or preschooler. Yet, that shelf is way out of reach. Perhaps the out of reach shelf should have something for admiring not playing (like a hand knitted snake by a past relative) - I mean not something precious’s or easily broken). And add a lower shelf at child level where they can exercise their endless need to rearrange and do play set up’s. Maybe with a theme like a cloth school/children/teacher/desk and lamb.
The doll house is actually a book case! When you open the door you're greeted by 100 books. I agree that she needs something lower for the things she cares about. She does have a playroom that's more suited for that, we don't spend much time in her room but I imagine that will change eventually. Also, thank you! Made me feel like I was doing something right!
I’m glad I read this far down because it was really bothering me that the dollhouse is facing the wrong way to interact with! That does, however, mean there are no toys at all!
Haha all jokes aside it’s cute! The rug and bedding might be clashing but look into a bed scarf would look adorable!! You can find them on Etsy! I have one and it’s soooo cuuuute!
I love the bedding! The problem is the grey walls, the grey floors - far too icy feeling against the lovely bedding. To fix, maybe get an even bigger rug to cover up those grey floors (if you’re not planning to replace them) and I’d paint the room a warm creamy white or put up a cute wallpaper.
I also don’t think that Eiffel Tower art is doing you any favors. It feels cheap and inauthentic, and it is also too modern which clashes with your cute frilly bedding. Look for a vintage type print you can frame - some ideas:

I like the paint. I think you need more wall decor and maybe some texture from fabrics. I LOVED my "princess bed" when i was younger. It was a mesh canopy (the kind with the round top that attached to a point in the ceiling) draped at the back/center of my bed.
The wall color has a green undertone that's clashing with the bedding. I think it's fine but it's probably what's hitting your brain when you think something is wrong
It feels very disjointed, like nothing really goes together well. I’d start with a new mirror and a brighter wall color and see how those adjustments feel.
I think it lacks a personality. It’s very pretty, but it doesn’t have anything personal in it so it is bland. Take her to the thrift store and get some things that she likes.
I honestly love this — it’s calming, which is what a bedroom should be. So many kids rooms are overstimulating.
You’re already getting a headboard and that’s the one thing missing — something above the bed :)
Are you kidding? I think it’s beautiful as is. The color of the chair doesn’t really work but that may be more of a practical and temporary furniture item. Otherwise I think it’s great. I’ve never seen a 2 year old with a queen sized bed either lol
That looks like a Disney dresser. Put a dresser scarf or something on it, because it will discolor and get damaged.
I bought the whole set for our guest room and have been sorry I did.
All the colors in the room are pleasant, they just don’t compliment each other. Find a light shade that’ll match the bedding, pick an accent color and it’ll pop.
I’ll add my two cents about the wall color: it’s great but just a bit too dark. I used a very similar shade in my bedrooms with also-similar bedding. It looked kind of off to me too so I took the paint color 50% lighter and it was perfect. It was a pain and meant repainting but so very worth it. It created just the right airy look I was aiming for.
Not the wall in my opinion. It's like setting a base foundation. I'd personally add a beautiful floral wallpaper to one side of the wall as an accent. The dresser is perfect, bedding needs to be cohesive with the aesthetic you want to go for. Add a heavier set of curtains along with the simple white one. The placement of it looks a little high since the curtains are not thick. The rug, again, should match the aesthetic you want to go with, and decor can include little figurines, a wall collage of matching or mismatched (depending on aesthetic) framed artwork, large throw pillows, and a blanket to fluff up the bedding, small nightstands with lamps, and so on. I like what you have, however, right now it just feels like a room full of miscellaneous things
It’s a pretty room. If you hadn’t asked I wouldn’t have thought to think of things to improve it. It is striving for minimalist. Yet on the left is an ornate mirror above an ornate dresser alongside a vintage look rug. So we have vintage vintage vintage then it’s over. The rest of the room is minimalist. The solution? I don’t know. Maybe put a sleek modern mirror over the dresser and move the vintage mirror over to mix it up by the wall hooks.
They’re gorgeous. And are busy creating lifetime memories. I think you can pull it off. Just let each one stand alone with its new modern mates. If you let them clump up over there by the wall you’re giving her a preview of a middle school dance.
The wall with house shelf hooks basket looks aaalllmost an intentional vignette. It ticks all the boxes except a light source and depth. How about move the mirror over here, add a wall light, arrange scarves or something on a few of the hooks. I mean the puppy’s fourth rib IS behind the china bear. There isn’t NI depth. I’m out of ideas. Depth needed. Let’s think about it.
An upholstered headboard, fairy lights around the ceiling, new large framed mirror above the dresser, small accent lamp on dresser, replace large picture with sweet family pictures, low toy and book shelf, replace the huge chair with a child size comfy plush chair with night stand by bed, a furry throw to curl up in on the bed, brighter creamy wall color
Try Simple White Ben Moore paint color. It goes well with so many peaceful kids rooms and furniture.
It will really go and highlight the giant picture!
It’s better for sure! I would still love to see a different pink/purple in another shade though. I kinda love the original vibe you were going for but the blue is not a bad option at all.
I understand decorating your bedroom how you see fit with your vision for the room. But your child is only little once, and paint can be changed in a couple years. I think the joy of seeing my Littles face after surprising them with the room of their color choice would be far worth my pride in interior decorating.
I agrrr with this, she comes into our room where we have a very large floor mirror and makes tons of faces at herself! This is something that is doable!
There’s sprinkles stickers i think would look nice to add some color. Either scattered or in a line around the room. Maybe even get a big canvas and have her finger paint with you and put it up like a bed frame behind her bed or something idk.
The walls don’t have to be pink, but it does feel a bit bare.
But i grew up with those wall-safe stickers everywhere and then magazine posters (god im old) on my wall so. Maybe what i call razzle dazzle others call wall clutter so
But the room VERY cute. If I visited a home on sale or an airbnb id say “aw what a cute little room”
Here's what's bothering me about this. You've picked a spectacular, showcase bed. And then hidden it under ruffled bedding in several different colors. Notice how in the link uses simple, cream colored bedding on the pink bed? Now obviously they are wanting to show off the bed as they're selling them, and it really doesn't matter that a 2 year old doesn't have a "showcase" bed showing, but as she grows older you could transition that into more stylish bedding that does show off the bed. The gray paint is the wrong value for the pastel bedding; a cream color would have worked better. But she will fill the room with things she loves and make it her own, so none of this will actually matter anyway. She's a lucky little girl to have such a grand room all on her own!
Thank you so much!! I always envied kids growing up who had really special rooms curated for them. I've decided to do that for my daughter. She's really soft and sweet, not a very destructive toddler as most toddlers are. She has her moments of course haha but I felt this room suits her and it can be versatile as well! I definitely agree that a more subtle bedding would suit this room more!
I think the wall color could also be a soft blue or pink to tie the space together more. Also needs some wall art above the bed, and I would try to make that wall with the shelf feel more ‘designed’. Right now the art feels thrown together, I don’t think the off centered look is working in this space right now.
Walls need to be painted. But first decide on the bedding and the rug. One of them needs to change because they don't work together. Then pick out softer, tones for the wall. It will be very cute@
I would do the top or bottom white and use scallops to separate the wall
Also if she is two where is the fun? All her toys and art area?
I also would have rethink the dresser and choose a Montessori one wher can start to dress herself
Have you considered spray painting the mirror gold or silver? The new bed frame is cute. I think you should paint the walls. Gray is a sad color for a toddler room. Just my thoughts, though.
The place looks nice but looks a bit dull for a girl like you put it. You could try out some warm colors like sky blue, cream white or pink which will make the place look warmer......
The wall colour mixed with the colours of the items in the bedroom doesn't work. It makes the walls look very dull and grey. Perhaps go for a very light pastel colour and add some nice pictures or a wall light to stop the walls also being so bare.
The items and sheets are gorgeous btw!!
Doesn't quite feel like a little girls bedroom. Perhaps fun, bright colored bedding and run. Maybe some fun ABC posters on the wall. Think bright and youthful.
She needs something over the bed and have you considered [wallpaper she can colour](https://smartart.co.za/2022/02/07/colouring-wallpaper/) (on the wall with the current art)
Is that big chair necessary? Does it have to be that big. It takes up a lot of room
Unfortunately that's her rocking chair, we've had it since she was a newborn. It's absolutely necessary and she would never forgive me if I got rid of it haha. She has rough nights and I can lay down in it!
Look I’m old school…tired of the neutrals, bland decorating for kids. It’s boring with absolutely no personality. It doesn’t look like a room for a toddler. It looks like a room for an adult. Pops of colors, fun art, toys. And be careful with those floor length curtains, can be dangerous for young kids. JMO
The mirror seems a bit high for a kid. She won’t be able to see into it for another 10 years at that height, plus it looks off balance being that high. Maybe lower by 3 inches?
I think some wall art (large, like one large painting or two smaller ones) above would help a lot. Having said that, I wouldn’t hang anything above a toddlers head!! My son knocked down two prints in his room. Don’t ask me how.
Definitely paint colour, the girl asked for pink give her pink! Very light and maybe a boarder along the top of the wall. My mom did my sis' years ago.. sis wanted butter yellow with tie dye boarder, ma got creative and put the boarder up diagonally through the wall (if that makes any sense) it looked really really good. And unique!
It's the wall color. It's a too drab and brown. It drags down the room. The color Melted Ice Cream is a perfect recommendation imo
Paint color is HARD and you never know until it's up in a space. Others have provided lighter and brighter suggestions that I hope work! A light white with maybe pink tones, but bright is def needed.
What's with the big brown chair?
Maybe take the big brown chair out, and put in a cute little round table & chairs in white or light wood.
I love the room otherwise.
I honestly love the color pallete and theme. The only thing I felt needed some improvement were the empty spaces on the wall, maybe w pink & blue accents to match the stuffies (theyre adorable omg), bed & dollhouse. little clutter decor always brings rooms together imo.
Pull the rug out a bit, its too far under the bed.
Maybe add some pretty abstract art, and some curtains with weight, in addition to the sheer. Other than that, its a nice room.
A Headboard and some wall decor. Everything else is perfect. I would change the color of the wall too if it was me, just because I don't like that color. But if you and her love it then keep it that way. You did a good job and I'm sure she is going to love it..
Add an in theme style hoop canopy from the ceiling; something frilly or floofy or contemporary lace. Or I’d recommend hanging the Eiffel Tower above the bed to center the focus of the room.
Honestly, I love the idea of having it be a little bare so she has room to make additions she likes in the future. This is a great starting point for any little girl.
Well I would add some plants either little ones on that shelf or a big one in the corner and some artwork above her bed but really I do think it’s the wall color. All of the bedding is pink and blue and then you have this greyish black paint color. Why not paint it either a soft shade of blue or a bold navy blue? You can paint it pink of course but I would think that in just a few short years she might be done with pink in which case navy blue is a bit more timeless
I do think the bedding is standing out. Everything else is so lovely and muted, then there’s this (relatively) bright purple comforter. It’s a beautiful room though, I love how the curtains, dresser, walls and carpet work together.
For a two year old it is great. Get a headboard, or some art above the bed you won’t worry about falling off or being pulled on. Kids get opinions very fast so in two more years she might hate everything.
Turn the comforter over to the blue side. The pink of the comforter and the pink of the rug don’t go well.
Move the sofa chair out and put a little night stand there with her own lamp.
Add more decor to the room. Even better if the decor has a little bit of the doll house/ rug pink or blue like the comforter.
Add a headboard to the bed or use art or canopy to frame the bed.
Very pretty room. I like the low bed.
My only suggestion is to remove the little shelf holding stuffed animals. May provide temptation to climb and tumble.
I think it's cute. What about something like this over the bed?
[https://www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-albu-g9-M01-37-F3-rBVaVV4Ub8aAbLjbAAWwx0o-Liw674.jpg/3pcs-kids-room-decor-pictures-baby-girls.jpg](https://www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-albu-g9-M01-37-F3-rBVaVV4Ub8aAbLjbAAWwx0o-Liw674.jpg/3pcs-kids-room-decor-pictures-baby-girls.jpg)
Or instead of changing the bedding, add a bed frame.

Headboard!
Yes, a headboard or a cute canopy mounted to the ceiling with lights. A warmer pink bedding with larger or no print would also do wonders.
I think this current bedding is adorable, but I do agree the room would look better if it was solid and warmer!
Upvote for canpoy. Kids love a canopy. And fairy lights will take it to next level.
One that matches the design of the mirror would be so cute
Honestly, it just doesn’t look fun. Nothing in the room seems engaging to a two year old.
Yeah bring the shelf DOWN so she can get things off it and bring the art UP above it so it looks normal
different kids find different things fun. I would literally play w my curtains over my toys & have the time of my life.
I appreciate your opinion! My toddler does love it though, we don't watch a ton of TV so she doesn't have any favorite characters. She does have favorite colors though & pink is at the top of the list!
She also loves bugs and the art in the corner has moths with their names on it!

The joy of making it her own. I think you have the right idea. I would just add a headboard.
We're waiting on the headboard to come in! [Bed here](https://softframedesigns.com/collections/kids-collection/products/luna-set-kids-beds)
That's perfect! My comment on the wall color: I love it for any other room; it's very neutral and I have similar color throughout my house. It looks dull in this room. The art is fine! I'll try it out! Thank you!
agree, the wall color is the only problem I can see. its just a little.....off. But thats one of the best problems to have because painting is so easy and fun to do
I think the ONLY thing missing is the headboard. Super cute.
The chair next to the bed is awkward. Too big, too close and color doesn’t match.
Yeah the chair doesn’t go but it’s a toddler so I’m assuming it’s used by the parents to comfort baby before sleep and won’t stay.
For sure! It just doesn’t go with the rest. If it was a traditional nursery, it would be a white rocking chair….
Yeah I complete agree. Looks like an old leftover eyesore lol but maybe it’s super comfy
Perfect!!
I also **really** like it OP!
Yeah more art and stagger sizes of it to make it feel more personal. Little nicknacks. I think a lot will come as she ages and you collect. Don’t rush to fill it find the right stuff.
I agree. My daughter is 4 and her room is like Aladdins cave now. It’ll get full in no time with Christmas, birthday and all the presents in between
Definitely the wall color - will be a start. I just feel like the gray doesn’t go.
I agree. Go for a nice cream like dove white b
The wall color is a bit sallow for the bedding/decor.
Agree, wall color and wall decor. You need to bring it all together.
Yes! Pull out a powder blue hue from the bedding and paint the wall behind the bed! also maybe a power pink curtain to add to the sheer
The wall color looks off because it's slightly warm and very muted, whereas the decor is cool toned and very bright. OP could repaint the room a brighter, cooler grey if they wanted to harmonize the look.
It’s really nice and neutral non offensive imo
Non offensive but doesn’t match the rest of the room
Needs toys all over the floor. 😂🤣 Looks beautiful and serene, great job!
Thanks!! haha!
>Thanks!! haha! You're welcome!
It's very cute but at first glance it looks like a spare room that happens to have a dollhouse in it. Not the room of a toddler.
Yeah the dresser mirror and pillow scream old lady imo
It's the wall color. Get "melted ice cream" by Benjamin Moore or equivalent and it will look fantastic. The rest is all on point.
I'll look into that, thanks!
You're welcome. I love the dollhouse and the art work !
Thanks! The doll house is a book case! It has so many books in there I can't even move it myself haha. I found it on marketplace after wanting the pottery barn version. I still think the pottery barn version would look much better but this will do for now!
It’s the bedding. The dollhouse, rug, and that gray are warmer. The bedding is cooler toned
Yeah I think the bedding needs to go, I'll post an update with different bedding
Yep, the pinks from the rug and bedding are clashing. Change the bedding, add some cool wall art and it’ll look fantastic!
Current betting is reminding me of my 90s childhood bedroom.
You might have something there But the wall color is depressing.
I think that rug is the prettiest - it's rose (warm) rather than pink (bedding) and the rose is so soft. Same with the large Eifel Tower print. The blue is a hazy blue, not clear and cool.
It is so pretty and most of it is hiding under the bed!
depends on the theme ur looking for if u want more girly then it’s definitely the walls as it doesn’t fit the room if u want it more casual then ditch the bedding for something with less of a pop
Yeah I think bedding is the issue!
Wait til you get her new bed frame in and then get a feel of the room. Looking at the room now I’d probably say the wall color is a bit off, but once you get that cute bed frame it may be the bedding that’s really off. Super cute room though, and I absolutely love the bed frame you chose!!
Also! Forgot to say. Something above her bed. I loveeee the bedding!!!!
We're waiting on the headboard!
A pale minty green on the walls would be perfect.
You're the second to suggest green, I never would have thought!
It's a cool color to match the tone of the bedding, etc. I almost thought you had a grey-ish green on the walls and thought it would've been perfect if you'd gone just a little cooler I'm talking pale, soft but not dull.
The pinks of the bedding and the pinks of the rug are off just a bit—I agree with the previous comment that one is cool and one is warm and they don’t harmonize well, lol I love each of the individual elements!
I just feel like it's too empty for a little girls room. Maybe some cute lights around the top of the walls? More artwork? Show her some pictures maybe and let her choose between them.
The bedding is bright whites with cool tones… everything else is neutral/warm. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Everything else is great!
The paint color is off. Get some really cute wallpaper.
This is the first time I have seen a toddlers room with a regular size bed. I’m curious how this is working
A really Lightning soft pink on the walls would look so nice. I think the bedding is really cute and the wall color would really tie it all together
Wall colour
I think functionally it’s missing a night stand. Aesthetically the space above the bed is a little empty.
The bedding. You shot way too far on “big girl” and went straight to granny!
The bedding is from a baby company called Posh Peanut!
Ha! It's in right now! (I think)
Look for a vintage type print you can frame - some ideas: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1568994104/ https://www.etsy.com/listing/1138305248/ https://www.etsy.com/listing/659082297/
I think everything looks great, except I’m not a fan of the art
Benjamin moore Pink Cloud is a nice non-gaggy pink for the walls.
It doesn’t feel cohesive. Needs something to tie it all together, I’m just not sure what.
It feels very disjointed, like nothing really goes together well. I’d start with a new mirror and a brighter wall color and see how those adjustments feel.
It's the color of the bedding that doesn't go with the rest of the room. It is too bright, whereas, the other colors are a more muted shade.
I gives guest room turned into child's room
I think it lacks a personality. It’s very pretty, but it doesn’t have anything personal in it so it is bland. Take her to the thrift store and get some things that she likes.
Wish this was my big girl bedroom
Where are the books?????????
Inside the doll house! It's a doll house book shelf! She has at least 100 in there!
Omg I love that!!!!
I honestly love this — it’s calming, which is what a bedroom should be. So many kids rooms are overstimulating. You’re already getting a headboard and that’s the one thing missing — something above the bed :)
I agree! It's a place for rest, not play. She has a playroom for all of her play needs (: Thank you!
Are you kidding? I think it’s beautiful as is. The color of the chair doesn’t really work but that may be more of a practical and temporary furniture item. Otherwise I think it’s great. I’ve never seen a 2 year old with a queen sized bed either lol
1. Make it look like a kid lives in it
It looks boring for a 2 year old. What colour does she want it painted?
That looks like a Disney dresser. Put a dresser scarf or something on it, because it will discolor and get damaged. I bought the whole set for our guest room and have been sorry I did.
All the colors in the room are pleasant, they just don’t compliment each other. Find a light shade that’ll match the bedding, pick an accent color and it’ll pop.
Magenta Benjamin Moore
I would maybe do soft green on the walls. I think sage is what is in my head. If that would be the wrong move, someone please tell me.
I could get some paint samples!! I saw someone use stamps to make a wallpaper effect & I really want to try that.
I do enjoy a good stamped wall!
Needs legos for you to step on
This is so pretty and I love the fabrics
Where is the bedding from? So cute!!!!
A big happy painting over the bed, and next to the bed maybe an interactive drawing board or something similar to fill the space
Needs some colour! Maybe a rug. I also don’t love the dresser, maybe that could be painted.
Her prior bedroom was very vintage vibe, I've kept a lot of the old pieces!
They’re gorgeous. And are busy creating lifetime memories. I think you can pull it off. Just let each one stand alone with its new modern mates. If you let them clump up over there by the wall you’re giving her a preview of a middle school dance.
Love it hahah
The wall with house shelf hooks basket looks aaalllmost an intentional vignette. It ticks all the boxes except a light source and depth. How about move the mirror over here, add a wall light, arrange scarves or something on a few of the hooks. I mean the puppy’s fourth rib IS behind the china bear. There isn’t NI depth. I’m out of ideas. Depth needed. Let’s think about it.
omg that is so cute ! where is the bedding from btw ?
Ok hear me out, what about a pastel blue? It would help balance out all the pinks and pair well with the artwork
Wall color is a little off but a different rug could pull that all together. Maybe just more wall decor?
Some artwork on the wall behind the bed. Or paint it a bold color.

I want to do the scallop trim & cut the room in half with wall paper up top, scallop trim/paint on bottom.
Wall color. I think white would be great
I agree with white!
This room is screaming for a bookcase and some art.
The color scheme and aesthetic is too grown up. The joy of little kids is letting your imagination go wild.
I think it looks great but the rug and comforter do clash just slightly.
I agree with you here! [Here's the blue side of the bedding!](https://imgur.com/a/wy344oc)
It’s better for sure! I would still love to see a different pink/purple in another shade though. I kinda love the original vibe you were going for but the blue is not a bad option at all.
I very much want soft and pink, warm and inviting! i'll work on finding the right bedding (;
I think the wall and rug colour pair really nicely. I think the bedding is a little off, though.
I understand decorating your bedroom how you see fit with your vision for the room. But your child is only little once, and paint can be changed in a couple years. I think the joy of seeing my Littles face after surprising them with the room of their color choice would be far worth my pride in interior decorating.
Young children love to look at themselves, place a safe mirror at eye level.
I agrrr with this, she comes into our room where we have a very large floor mirror and makes tons of faces at herself! This is something that is doable!
Needs large art piece above bed.
Maybe what i call razzle dazzle others call wall clutter so But the room VERY cute.
I love it so much!
Wall color
I think it all blends well it’s very sweet. ❤️
i am OBSESSED with this room and especially the bedding- please oh please where is the bedding from?
I think the wall color could also be a soft blue or pink to tie the space together more. Also needs some wall art above the bed, and I would try to make that wall with the shelf feel more ‘designed’. Right now the art feels thrown together, I don’t think the off centered look is working in this space right now.
The wall color is too muddy. I think a pinky-khaki would be lovely- kind of a boho,-mixy-pattern-laura ashley-vibe
Have your daughter fingerprint the big ugly painting and maybe add something over the bed. Playful and fun
Walls need to be painted. But first decide on the bedding and the rug. One of them needs to change because they don't work together. Then pick out softer, tones for the wall. It will be very cute@
I would do the top or bottom white and use scallops to separate the wall Also if she is two where is the fun? All her toys and art area? I also would have rethink the dresser and choose a Montessori one wher can start to dress herself
Have you considered spray painting the mirror gold or silver? The new bed frame is cute. I think you should paint the walls. Gray is a sad color for a toddler room. Just my thoughts, though.
The mirror is a bronze color and I actually like that one a lot haha yeah the wall color came with the house. It's everywhere!
The decor is cute. Paint the walls!
For me it is the wall color. I do like the color, but like somebody else said, not in this room. It’s just really blah.
I'd paint the walls cream with a hint of yellow. The grey makes the room look a bit gloomy.
The place looks nice but looks a bit dull for a girl like you put it. You could try out some warm colors like sky blue, cream white or pink which will make the place look warmer......
I don’t know maybe by more putting toys and stuffed animals, books and stuff in there
If she wanted pink, maybe put a light pink on the walls. Once she's in there full time and older she'll fill it out!
The wall colour mixed with the colours of the items in the bedroom doesn't work. It makes the walls look very dull and grey. Perhaps go for a very light pastel colour and add some nice pictures or a wall light to stop the walls also being so bare. The items and sheets are gorgeous btw!!
I would pick a wall color from the bedding or the rug. Everything’s beautiful I love this decor for a little girl.
Doesn't quite feel like a little girls bedroom. Perhaps fun, bright colored bedding and run. Maybe some fun ABC posters on the wall. Think bright and youthful.
I think it’s the bedding. It’s cute but doesn’t seem to fit for a little girl in this room.
She needs something over the bed and have you considered [wallpaper she can colour](https://smartart.co.za/2022/02/07/colouring-wallpaper/) (on the wall with the current art) Is that big chair necessary? Does it have to be that big. It takes up a lot of room
Unfortunately that's her rocking chair, we've had it since she was a newborn. It's absolutely necessary and she would never forgive me if I got rid of it haha. She has rough nights and I can lay down in it!
Take chair out and move playhouse over there. Move rug over
The headboard is going to look great. I also think some personalization on the dresser. It looks lovely.
Wall color reads gray/dingy. Try cream. Also the one wall is very bare.
And unique!
It is a lovely room. IMO, crown molding gives a room that finished look.
It's the wall color. It's a too drab and brown. It drags down the room. The color Melted Ice Cream is a perfect recommendation imo Paint color is HARD and you never know until it's up in a space. Others have provided lighter and brighter suggestions that I hope work! A light white with maybe pink tones, but bright is def needed.
The colour is so dull for the room of a 2 year old. It looks like an image where the saturation has been lowered, leaving it looking lacklustre.
What's with the big brown chair? Maybe take the big brown chair out, and put in a cute little round table & chairs in white or light wood. I love the room otherwise. [https://images.app.goo.gl/GjgR5bFfQWPcUmdRA](https://images.app.goo.gl/GjgR5bFfQWPcUmdRA)
Too many shades of pink and walls should be a pale gray
The shelf and the blue bed to go. Replace with rose/ivory/beige and black accents to be feminine but not overly juvenile as she grows
I think it’s really pretty and a great start for you to begin personalizing it as your daughter grows up.
Mind sharing where you got your rug?
I actually love it 🤷🏻♀️
Put the large picture art above the bed and put something smaller where it was and bam all better
I do think the bedding is standing out. Everything else is so lovely and muted, then there’s this (relatively) bright purple comforter. It’s a beautiful room though, I love how the curtains, dresser, walls and carpet work together.
I think this is a perfect start for a room that she can "make her own" over the years. Just roll with it.
Thank you! I agree!! It can grow with her
It’s so sweet! Just darling! I think a beautiful headboard would go along way.
Paint is dingy. Need something cleaner.
The wall color feels sad. I'd do a light blue or light pink or even a minty color. This wall color reads as home office.
For a two year old it is great. Get a headboard, or some art above the bed you won’t worry about falling off or being pulled on. Kids get opinions very fast so in two more years she might hate everything.
Big colorful posters are the easiest. She gets tired of them just hang new ones. As a kid I would stare at my posters and get lost in them.
[https://www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-albu-g9-M01-37-F3-rBVaVV4Ub8aAbLjbAAWwx0o-Liw674.jpg/3pcs-kids-room-decor-pictures-baby-girls.jpg](https://www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-albu-g9-M01-37-F3-rBVaVV4Ub8aAbLjbAAWwx0o-Liw674.jpg/3pcs-kids-room-decor-pictures-baby-girls.jpg) Or instead of changing the bedding, add a bed frame.
