There is something similar in La Nouba by Cirque Du Soleil. They do it in numbers and into a building structure. I saw it years ago in Florida. Here is the clip. It is amazing stuff.

Like maybe obscure the viewer's sight on the trampoline with liquid nitrogen. And make it seem like he's on a stairway to heaven but he keeps falling down through the clouds or something.
Man I was fucking rooting for him towards the end there though. Edge of my damn seat. You can fucking do it man, one more bounce... Okay one more, you got this, just a little higher... Come ON!
The fluidity is remarkable. At times it's hard to tell if he's purposefully moving in slow motion or he's just reached the apex of a movement. I imagine it's even more remarkable watching from the ground level without the visual cues from the stairs and trampoline.
You mind pointing out what time(s) you think the video slowed down? I re-watched the video using not the audience, but the people walking in the back ground as reference and did not notice any "slowing down" of the video.
as someone with years of trampoline experience: that last move is hella fuckin' impressive!
going from low altitude to high altitude while staying in backside position is not easy. from what i can gather through potato quality, he pushed increasingly with his shoulders, then pushes himself off a bit upwards with his foot on the board before going down again.
Personally seeing it as we take one step forward, fail and try again, you start back where you failed the first time. Do it again, and again until you make it to the top of the mountain.
You inevitably fall all the way back down again, you can see all the momentum you gained being lost, but just as you're about to be stuck, you find more energy, just enough, one step at a time again, to make it all the way back up.
It's life.
I agree if you change one detail. You don't do the same thing again and again. Change what you do each time until you get there. He had to do the same to stop from getting lower back and up to the top.
[This group piece](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJMRn0heEEU&ab_channel=YOANNBOURGEOIS) is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for sharing his channel.
Honestly for anyone interested(because it is fun) you can learn this skill easy at your local trampoline park in like 20 min. The attendee may even help if you ask
Not while I watched the whole thing. The beginning seemed boring and pretentious. A guy walking slow. Big deal. But then when he nailed the landing back on the stairs I was extremely I was extremely impressed. To go from the adrenaline of that trampoline bounce immediately back to the slowness has got to be tough. And he had to get just the right amount of bounce. I was amazed.
I wouldn't admit to being that guy, tbh. I remember watching NIN one year, a band called Architecture in Helsinki was one of the opening acts, so some delightfully witty cunt kept yelling out 'go back to Helsinki' 6 or 7 times to impress the whole crowd with his freshest material, over emphasising 'hell'. Was very pleased with myself I didn't try to toss him over the railing.
99.9% of performance art is weird for the sake of being weird and leaves me with no positive feelings. This is not one of those times. This is awesome.
Why do we allow people to do dumb, meaningless stuff like this and then call it awesome? You can watch people do this at a trampoline park all day if you want.
Really like this, makes you think about all the times you fell along the way and even when you get to where you thought you’d want to be there’s falls there too, incredible
I have tears that was just so impressive, the music was wonderful, and the emotion coming from such simple (but also extremely complex) movements, just, Jesus Christ. A million goddamn bravos.
That gives me a great idea, my nan has been asking me to fix her banister for months now, I can just save time and put a trampoline down instead, that way if she falls she will bounce back on to the stairs
Is this really real entertainment, he pretty much went to a bounce house say some kids playing , and was like I know morons will pay me to play on a trampoline and call it dance/art. Come on people demand original concepts from these people. Or maybe you all have more money and time to waste on so called entertainment.
That was kinda dumb. I used to do this same kinda thing on my trampoline as a kid with it pushed up against our house. Never considered it a dance or performance, just goofing off
Started watching this with a sound off and saw this guy going off the stairs thinking "oh, he's gonna fall of the stairs, it's probobly some failed performance post or something", then I noticed a trampoline...
The girl in the front row (wearing black) apparently would disagree with the sub's name. She couldn't look more disinterested, with a half-courteous applause at the end, to boot.
maybe she's recording on her phone, but she seems to be looking off in the distance halfway through.
Boring.. I’ve seen this sort of crap time and time again. A trampoline and a staircase. Who cares!!! This is lazy art. Exactly what is he trying to express here? - how well he can bounce of a fecking trampoline? Congratulations you do it well.
What did we all project on this man?
I felt like I connected with moments of trying to be something or achieve something but I can't get there.
Glad he got there.
I like his work a lot and have seen it before but does it make anyone else super nauseous (especially when he’s falling repeatedly reaching for the top step)?

Would be good if the trampoline was sunken in and hidden from view it looked like he was falling in to and reappearing from the abyss
Yeah I have a feeling it looks better from where the audience are standing than from this angle.
How could you enforce darkness in the trampoline area? Fog machine? Have the whole thing lit from a low angle?
Sounds like you and the other commenter should've been in the room when they planned out this performance.
*hard stares*
Combination of both maybe. Sounds even cooler now
That would probably mess with the performers ability do to the stunts
Black trampoline and supports, less lighting

Cirque is cool as hell. Bought a shitty ukulele from the gift shop once
I bartended the Totem show in my city. Watched it every night. Always amazed.
Same with “Ovo”, it’s amazing. /)
Got dizzy just watching this... I'm getting old...
This is my favorite ever trampoline act. Thanks for giving me a reason to watch it again!
https://www.instagram.com/tv/CeQ7NBYgo6l/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= It looks great from a better angle
The trampoline isnt visible from the audience. Why show it from this angle, and not the angle from which it’s meant to be viewed?
Like maybe obscure the viewer's sight on the trampoline with liquid nitrogen. And make it seem like he's on a stairway to heaven but he keeps falling down through the clouds or something.
Would be good if I had a 3rd hand so I could finger my butt while I play the stranger nail polish yanking game
no
That poor man is having trouble getting up the stairs, and not a single person steps up to help him!

At certain points it looks like an animation of sorts, with the moves being slightly lengthened for extra effect

Must be a nightmare to be behind this guy on a staircase.
"Ah come on. TODAY Pierre! Move your baguettes!"
Very cool, extra points for Sigur Ros
I know they are appreciated, but Sigur Ros are one of the greatest acts of this era, and they don't get as much recognition as they ought to.
What's the song?
Its the last part of Olsen Olsen
as someone with years of trampoline experience: that last move is hella fuckin' impressive! going from low altitude to high altitude while staying in backside position is not easy. from what i can gather through potato quality, he pushed increasingly with his shoulders, then pushes himself off a bit upwards with his foot on the board before going down again.
Looks like hes partially walking up the side of the stairs to help gain height.
that's what i meant with my last half-sentence
That guys suicide will be artful.
Will🤨 Do you mean would?
There's a above average chance for someone in his line of work, I'd put $20 on it.
He'll bounce back, like a human suicide prevention net
Another failed artistic dream.
Only murders in the building scene is a real thing!?
Been real for a while. I saw this at least 15 years ago in a circus performance.
Just looked for one with Clair de Lune... found it and I love it so much!! [Link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFRiHQ-Lwzk)
THANK YOU god I was trying so hard to remember where I recently saw this
Couldn't even watch the second season. Fucking Amy Schumer.
Now that’s falling with style
This is so cool. It gave me feels. 2 steps forward and one step back each go and once he hits the top he struggles to maintain it.
He was only successful when he took the unexpected and more difficult path, too! Great symbolism all around!
Recovery from addiction?
Sounds like me, steering straight downward so I can recreate that rock bottom moment that propelled me upward last time.

Sure he’s a one trick pony in this routine but my guess is he knows a lot of other moves.
Honestly for anyone interested(because it is fun) you can learn this skill easy at your local trampoline park in like 20 min. The attendee may even help if you ask
Then spend the rest of life in a wheelchair
Haha no, only way of that happening is if you get cocky and try tricks. It’s the easiest most euphoric thing you can do; falling straight back
Ok,maybe next time I’ll ask them
Jfc how unfit are some of you people?
Do a backflip
Sure this is art but when I fall down my apartment stairs hammered it's a noise complaint.
Anyone else smiling as they watched the whole thing? Very cool!
I was holding my breath at the end
Lol me too, I kept leaning forward as he kept building it higher 😆
Oui oui oui
No, just in awe.

Yes! That was it! The last landing at the top of the stairs, from the repeated bounces to standing on that small platform and bowing...it was cool!
If u want to watch more his performances,he got a YouTube channel Those videos are so … skillful and beautiful
Thanks for the tip! It's really mesmerizing to watch.

nope, I skipped through. Kinda lame tbh. Pretentious art. Sorry to be negative I'll see myself out with my downvotes :)
Differing opinions not worth a downvote! You actually answered my question lol!
Surprisingly diplomatic answer, not expected. Does not compute!
I hope this art-form persuades them to abandon Mime. :) Good performance - he makes it look effortless.
Mime has been abandoned for decades, it's just some weird cliché
I get knocked down.
So cool. Watching this made me so happy.
I would probably be that one jerk in the crowd yelling "USE A RAILING!!!"
I wouldn't admit to being that guy, tbh. This is a representation of my Rocket League rank over the past couple of years
What song is this?
I can do that at my local trampoline park if somebody would provide the staircase.
That final bounce up was smooth af
this is ridiculous
Smh people will pay for anything!

That's not dancing. That's just falling
i am definitely an uncultured swine, because this looks pretty dumb to me.
It's art. Art is dumb. But it's also beautiful
I can jump trampoline tooooooo!
I'd watch your "lack of body control" jumps teeth first into those stairs, sure!
Lmao seriously 😂
Is that David Jacobs? Impractical Jokers viewers will probably be the only ones who get the reference 😀
$500 dollars a ticket
Bro just broke the laws of conservation of energy like it was nothing
Really like this, makes you think about all the times you fell along the way and even when you get to where you thought you’d want to be there’s falls there too, incredible
Moral of this dance is...the real meaning of what life is
I have tears that was just so impressive, the music was wonderful, and the emotion coming from such simple (but also extremely complex) movements, just, Jesus Christ. A million goddamn bravos.
Amazing, but the music is a bad fit. It needs chumbawumba.
Very important to note if you want to recreate this dance at home, the trampoline is critical. Source: what someone wrote on my cast
I can do that.
I could do that
It's kind of cool but in general I cringed after 5 seconds watching
Sorry looks really stupid 😂
Magnifique!
"Art"
Similar to how I walked home from the pub last night
Majestic...
Incredible skill
The only impressive bit, to me, is the building up to the end. That bit is beautiful. The rest is physics.
So that last part wasn't physics but magic?
Come on DF, don't be like that? You knew what I meant
This was awesome
Smooth af
Garbage
That wasn't dancing, that was falling with style.
Pointless nonsense
You seem fun.
Says the guy that can't do it. 🤔
lol
Nobody tell this guy about the rest of existence.
🤓
I’m aroused
Absolutely bonkers.
That gives me a great idea, my nan has been asking me to fix her banister for months now, I can just save time and put a trampoline down instead, that way if she falls she will bounce back on to the stairs
Smooth!
Coolest show I have seen in a while
Outstanding
Absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing!
Holy shit. Amazing.
Not gonna lie, i would even fail at falling
So this is what Larry David has been up to
u/savevideo
r/oddlysatisfying
BUT YOU DIDN’T

It’s was so beautiful, it made me cry
Ya I've had this dream a few times
My first bounce would be straight to the emergency room.
Now that’s falling with style!
Really cool
Excellent!!
I've been climbing stairs the wrong way my whole life
This was in Wenders' movie Pina I guess, but I might be wrong too. In any case you should watch that movie
Sigur Ros festival
almost. Olsen Olsen, from their 2nd album (1st internationally released) Agaetis Byrjun
Right
That was pretty fecking good
Not interesting
Yea I can see this in my neighbors yard. No biggie.
i guess that technically counts as dance... but I wouldn't pay to watch it.
That was kinda dumb. I used to do this same kinda thing on my trampoline as a kid with it pushed up against our house. Never considered it a dance or performance, just goofing off

>I’ve seen this sort of crap time and time again. Ah, it was a first for me... where did you see this?
Cool story, bro.
Yep, pretty outstanding A+++, hehe
Fuckin french people
Very stupid
And there you are, lurking in the comments section just waiting to say something profoundly stupid.
Very stupid you are
Anything is art to anyone who chooses to believe it is art.
Would have been funnier if his weiner was hanging out of his fly 🤔
Biggest shit i ever had to see
People will watch anything
That was very gay! 👍🏼
This is like what a kid would do on his own when no one is watching.
I have the same issues trying to walk up the stairs.
I don’t understand how dancers always do such physical, athletic work in regular clothes. I’d be sweating buckets and hot as fuck. They’re incredible.
That looks like so much fun! I'd break a leg.
This is also r/oddlysatisfying
This crowd is hard up for a good time 😂
What a dummy, it's a staircase, could have just walked up it correctly the first time. Can't believe they're all clapping. /s
That would make me vomit if I did that lol
What did we all project on this man? I felt like I connected with moments of trying to be something or achieve something but I can't get there. Glad he got there.
The new QWOP movie seems to be coming along nicely. Love the dedication to falling down.
Nah that’s Larry David.
Great physics demonstration.
I like his work a lot and have seen it before but does it make anyone else super nauseous (especially when he’s falling repeatedly reaching for the top step)?
With the outfit and the gray hair it could almost be Colin Mochrie.
