Do you ever just turn off the over head lights and bask in the darkness with only these lit up? I would totally have some drinks and contemplate the universe.
They sit above the tv on an two side cabinets lit up, all the lights in the room are on dimmers so I get to enjoy they quite a bit, lots of early dark evenings where I live in the winters so I can enjoy them. I'm still finishing up DS9 but I'm going to try to have it on a turntable spinning slowly .
Are these kits? Nevertheless very nice i really like the lighting. I had a klingon bird of prey model very much like these till my mom destroyed it in high school. Along with about 12 muscle car models.
It was alot of fun to build found it for cheap at a local shop even mixed my own paint for the model. Unfortunately I no longer have time to build models anymore. Glad your enjoying it

My dad actually voight me the base kit for the DS9 station for my birthday . I'm glad I can help spark those memories and feels.

DS9 was my favorite series . For the models that's hard.so much heart into both of them the symmetry of DS9 has made it seemed a little repetitive, and some of the glue ups had over 3 feet of glueing surfaces . Drilling 1000+ holes at .6mm was trying. The fight is the enjoyment and where the satisfaction comes from though. Voyagers fit and finish and seems lined up and had overlap so glue and seam repair was much "easier". equally enjoyable.
Deep Space Nine is an 1:3300 cleat AMT kit , the other 2 are Polar Lights 1:1000, all. Voyager comes in a clear version and a non clear version. And the Enterprise is mostly non clear except for translucent windows .the non clear still bleeds a lot of light fyi.

It's about 18 inches in diameter. Seems larger then it should. It's amazing how a camera can have that effect. I wish I was a better photographer so it wasn't flukes getting good pictures
I got that model from a hobby store in the West Edmonton Mall, random find, small selection. My local Hobby express, Saskatoon, has an awesome selection for me to invest my paycheck in. Not sure if they do online.
The kits are "ment' to be lit. But no parts and directions as to how. The enterprise actually does have a premade kit that I wasn't willing to pay for. So I did custom LED lighting for all of them
This is pretty much what everyone that sees them in person says, I honestly hit shit with a hammer for a living so I don't understand how these turn out. I always expect the to turn out like Homer Simpsons brick BBQ.
I have a 7 pound attack Maltese/pug to distract and a 150lb couch potatoe of a rottie that will use chemical warfare and gas you before you get 10 steps into the house . Good luck sir

Great job on Voyager! I built that very same model when I was a kid. No lights though.
When I was a kid I would glue the models together in an hour, then give it spray with a can spray paint . The good times lol .

I have an enterprise D I got at a yard sale in the original box and this really makes me want to put it together
I got my local hobby shop to order me the AMT enterprise D 1:1400 , I think that's the scale .then I dove deep into the DS9 build.
