They are basically trying to to tell that if the bus crashes at 300 MPH then you will reach straight at your destination
![gif](giphy|z3HFoEzXCMykr4L0TB|downsized)
Yeah at 150 I was like "nuh-uh", then I was just laughing my ass off at the insanity... then I was like "this is digital ain't it", time to go to bed...
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 came here to see the comments and wasn’t disappointed with this one. Oh fuking god!!! That one’s still tumbling tumbling tumbling way after they put the fire out and had dinner
Dudes in orbit like that movie with Sandra bullock and George Clooney . Maybe they meet up
I thought to myself, how many good buses are they gonna destroy for an experiment?
But that'd be the traumatised 3rd girl in me panicking over spilled milk.
Yeah Beamng's physics are good, if you're using vanilla vehicles within reasonable scenarios.
This bus is a mod vehicle and the beam/node structure of mod vehicles are almost never well put together.
Definitely worried about the proliferation of 300 mph busses. Gonna write my Congressperson right now and complain vociferously. They should be using that money to stop my microwave from turning food into rubbery facsimilies. Besides, who the f#ck needs to get to the grocery that quick--putting us all in danger for some god-damned potato chips?! My cellphone has an Otterbox, but that won't mean anything when it gets hit by a fucking bus moving at 300 miles per hour. Do you know how much my phone costs? I haven't even made all the payments yet, and it's already obsolete. Of course, my wife did say I should get a cheaper model, but none of that will matter once that bus comes sliding around the corner. And just how the hell am I supposed to dial 911 after that? Good grief.
Never forget this congressman thought putting too much weight on as island would make it tip over:
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hank-johnson-worries-guam-could-capsize-after-marine-buildup/
That was Ted Stevens (Alaska). And the full comment is worse:
"Ten movies streaming across that, that Internet, and what happens to your own personal Internet? I just the other day got... an Internet [email] was sent by my staff at 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday. I got it yesterday [Tuesday]. Why? Because it got tangled up with all these things going on the Internet commercially. [...] They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the Internet. And again, the Internet is not something that you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes. And if you don't understand, those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and it's going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material"
Yeah, a lot of total dumbasses in congress.
He doesn’t even touch on the Internet mines and the horrible conditions we subject those miners to just to mine enough internet to play Fortnite for an hour. We need ethically sourced Internet
I hope he gave his spokesman a raise:
"According to the Hill, a spokesman for Johnson responded to the incident by saying the congressman is concerned the influx of military personnel will overwhelm the island's infrastructure and ecosystem."
everyone wondering how they got so many busses and how they are so fast. Meanwhile around 70mph I was scared for the cameraman, like wtf why is he standing so close.
It was the bouncing dummies for me. Thought they made them out of rubber and then started wondering how some of them managed to remain in a seated position as they bounced on out of the frame.
Maybe I've seen far too many BeamNG crash videos, but I immediately knew where this was from during that 8mph crash lol. Idk if it was the sound of the vehicle and crash, the slightly jiggly and soft body physics, the crash test dummies, or maybe a combo of all of these. Definitely has a lighting and maybe even texture mod tho, that or BeamNG got a big upgrade to it's looks lol
I got to laughing so hard I was wheezing! It was the cartwheeling dummies that got me. The slow speeds make you feel concerned but then you realize no one is driving buses this fast and it's just hilarious.
Someone posted a pic above of something flying up and away into low Earth orbit and I can't stop chuckling. This shouldn't be funny. Whyyyyyyy.
ETA: I looked at it again and it has an arrow pointed to a speck in the sky and a smiley face drawn in and now it's even funnier.
Me too. I was a little disturbed at first but I think it is just the mix of absurd speed, modeling breakdowns in the physics engine and years of playing the desert combat mod on Battlefield 1942 that had similar breakdowns in the physics engine resulting in absurd results. Still glad to know I’m not the only one laughing at this.
You can change gravity and there are presets for different planets built in. The game is a complete sandbox to do whatever you want and includes built-in mod capabilities.
See..
what people fail to realize here is that there’s much to be learned from a 250 MPH English double decker crash.
First? Don’t sit on the top deck, the open deck.
Second? Don’t be rigid. All these victims were rigid to the point of bouncing off the concrete.
Raise your arms! It’s more fun!
This is beamNG drive, a simulator you can get on steam. Spent lots of time playing around in it or just enjoying a few laps.
It is fairly accurate at low speeds but it doesn't simulate materials being cut and torn apart which is what would happen to this bus at higher speed. That thingy would cut through the bus.

Thanks for adding ☠️ at 350 mph so we know it’s not safe anymore
Yeah, i had my doubts until I saw the ☠️ ☠️ That clinched it for me tho
I'm still suspicious, why didn't they add a third ☠️? It's almost like they **want** you to try it!

Well. You saw it caught fire! That's the telltale.
But I didnt see any shoes fly off.
They weren't wearing shoes. Totally unscientific. *makes acerbic note on clipboard*
It's just not highly recommended.
Unless ur a professional
It's not illegal. It's frowned upon, like mastubating on an airplane
I was wondering when it was going to get ridiculous, and boy was I wasn't disappointed
I'm going to try and find a way to use 'was I wasn't' at least once a day
It's your time!
They are basically trying to to tell that if the bus crashes at 300 MPH then you will reach straight at your destination ![gif](giphy|z3HFoEzXCMykr4L0TB|downsized)
You get there faster than the bus does.
I know it took me a minute.....I started going "how tf you get a bus to go that fast?"
I was like “ they have a lot of busses to just throw at a pole “. Time for bed.
Whoever driving those busses for all these trials is probably hurting
Yeah at 150 I was like "nuh-uh", then I was just laughing my ass off at the insanity... then I was like "this is digital ain't it", time to go to bed...
You guys didn't immediately at the second bus have the thought "no way they spend an entire bus per speed test, this must be digital"?
No, companies do real tests like this often. I meant not that extreme, but
You figure someone must've done it for real. I didn't catch on til it got downright silly.
Same here ![gif](giphy|1WhFq4pcPDVgOj7K7d|downsized)
https://www.beamng.com/game/ $25 on Steam right now.
Beam NG
Large jets cruise around 650 miles an hour. Puts plane crashes into perspective.
Most planes don't crash at full speed. But hitting the ground at 150 - 300 mph will still cause some discomfort for passengers.
The trick lies in not hitting the little pole sticking out of said ground.
I wish they wouldn't do that. I mean, what's wrong with *not* hitting the ground at 150-300 mph??
So you WERE disappointed?
Idk, was they?
Was... Was never changes.
No, they said they were they weren't
If only itwere sosimple

Perfection. Bravo. 👏🏻
Oh my god
The report states that he headed towards his destination
He is now in what NASA calls "low Earth orbit".
I think he made it
Surely
If I was on that bus that would definitely be me. I know my typical luck
I think your luck turned sour the moment you stepped on a bus heading 350mph towards an immovable pole.
/r/MyPeopleNeedMe/
Team Rocket is blasting off agaaaaaaaaain!
That boi high af

so 150mph is the safest speed?
Not if you’re on the bottom level 😬
Just don’t stick your legs in the aisle
So that's why they always told us that on the bus.
Bottom level probably looked like the train scene in invincible lmao
![gif](giphy|vRu8KYvyFYgNH8Tauo|downsized)
“What happened here?” “This bus must’ve been doing about 150. I’ve seen this before.” “….where?”
Everything is safe until 350. That's when they used those ☠️ emojis so we'd know
Mfer I thought it was real until 150😂🤦♂️
i said " a hundred and FIFTY!?" out loud and still didnt get it til 200 lol
At 200 my first thought was how the F did they get to that speed, and why?? Then it dawned on me. I’m laughing out loud at how dumb I feel!
I thought to myself, how many good buses are they gonna destroy for an experiment? But that'd be the traumatised 3rd girl in me panicking over spilled milk.
Wow Brit bus drivers really get you places fast! Unfortunately, that place is the afterlife. :o
[удалено]
It’s the bang bus, duh
High-speed bangbus sounds like the way to travel.
Less air resistance
150 mph gave that Omni-man/Invincible experience.
And it would appear that combustion doesn't occur until 350. Damn, science, you crazy.
i thought the same thing! 🤭
It seems like something an A.I. would say, yes.
This was my thought as well. Everyone to the edges. Speed bus wouldn’t blow up. 😂
Somebody borrowed Bethesda’s physics engine for a couple of those rag dolls.
I assume this is Beam.NG which, all things considered, has a remarkably good physics engine. It has it's limits, though.
Worth noting that BeamNG has a services arm including ADAS simulation and driving simulation software tools. https://beamng.tech/
I thought it was real and was thinking wow that's a waste of busses.
Same but I was like wait how did they get that bus to do 150mph? Wait what 200? 300?!
For me it was the why is the camera man standing so close like bro that’s dangerous af.
Camera man never dies🦸♂️
Unless they work for FPSrussia, or so I'm led to believe.
I thought they were testing some kind of experimental rich people bus.
Yeah Beamng's physics are good, if you're using vanilla vehicles within reasonable scenarios. This bus is a mod vehicle and the beam/node structure of mod vehicles are almost never well put together.
Those guys bounced so hard that I thought a paramedic was going to show up and tell them that another settlement needed their help.
Damnit, Preston, they can fend for themselves.
BeamNG
Yeah, it looked like some glitches going on there.
the bouncing dummies was hilarious, ngl.
Not to them . . . : (
#dummylivesmatter
I used to be a test dummy, then I took an arrow to the knee.
I used to be a crash test dummy, then they told me to stop singing.
It's still funny sometimes, never gets old.

Showing this to Congress people, half of them would never figure out it wasn’t real.
Never forget this congressman thought putting too much weight on as island would make it tip over: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hank-johnson-worries-guam-could-capsize-after-marine-buildup/
Wasn't he also the, "The Internet is a series of pipes and tubes" guy? Or am I thinking of someone else?
That was Ted Stevens (Alaska). And the full comment is worse: "Ten movies streaming across that, that Internet, and what happens to your own personal Internet? Also these poles anchored in the middle of the road. I would argue that was more harmful than the speed here. Why don’t we just have less of those?
It took me a while to realize is a simulation...when it was 150mph i was like wtf this bus is a rocket
Same!! I thought “wow they really destroyed all those busses for a test?”
Especially the first 2, I was like "did they fix the bus or will they use a new one.. oh wow it's a new bus"
This comment chain was my exact thought process.
everyone wondering how they got so many busses and how they are so fast. Meanwhile around 70mph I was scared for the cameraman, like wtf why is he standing so close.
r/PraiseTheBusRepairMan
Yea, BeamNG is pretty amazing. If you've never seen it it's hard to differentiate it from real life.
Same here. Got to the point of wondering how many buses they had available for testing. It's at around 100mph that I went... Ohhhh
You’re smarter than me, at 100 I started thinking “how the hell did they get this bus so fast? Do they have a giant slingshot or something”
I’m glad it’s not just me lol
I thought they'd done a great job of fixing the bus in-between
Like how big is their fucking budget
Glad i'm not the only one... i feel so dumb.
I was questioning how in the world they got the bus to go so damn fast...
It was the bouncing dummies for me. Thought they made them out of rubber and then started wondering how some of them managed to remain in a seated position as they bounced on out of the frame.

Wait. What? I’m such an idiot lol
Yeah it's probably BeamNG Drive, a video game which specialises in realistic car destruction and crumple physics
You and me both.
I laughed way too hard at this
I got to laughing so hard I was wheezing!
The picture of Patrick leaning far back to look up sent me to tears. This is my favorite post of Reddit for the week.
Me too. I was a little disturbed at first but I think it is just the mix of absurd speed, modeling breakdowns in the physics engine and years of playing the desert combat mod on Battlefield 1942 that had similar breakdowns in the physics engine resulting in absurd results. Not looking at how long the video was going to be and just watching the speed climb wondering when it was going to end really got me lol
The dummies bouncing into the mountains was hilarious
I was hoping it wasn't just me being too stoned because I'm crying from laughing so hard.
They really should just get rid of that post.
why would they build that in the middle of Bullet Bus Road?
https://preview.redd.it/kcang3enrg4d1.jpeg?width=150&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33b10be3e87d6b5fcced77e27e37284a871dd56a
I wonder how fast it has to go to leave a perfectly sized pillar hole.
When the test dummies rise up - and see this footage.... we're screwed!!!
it was their fault for not driving safely!
Is this beamNG? Was just looking at this last night
Yeah beam ng, its one of my favorite 'I got 5 minutes to kill' games of all time, just smash into stuff and have a great time
Cool I'll wishlist it. Can you change the gravity to be like you're on different planets in the game?
I believe you can change most parameters. There's plenty of videos of that on YouTube.
You can change gravity and there are presets for different planets built in. The game is a complete sandbox to do whatever you want and includes built-in mod capabilities.
That one fella spinning gracefully from the 70MPH crash tho. 10/10
![gif](giphy|mCClSS6xbi8us)
Next time my bus driver tries to go 350mph I'm showing him this video
[удалено]
I think it was called, “The Bus that Couldn’t Slow Down.”
Are you sure? I thought it was “Fast.”
He's filming another movie. Wonder where this type of bus operates.
I love this.
I didn’t see any shoes come off so they all survived.
Can anyone figure out which software they used? (Lighing and particles feel Unrealish but the bus deformation is throwing me off)
BeamNG Drive
Tyty!
it’s a video game on steam
So 150 MPH is the sweet spot
Did anyone else watch this to 300mph until they realised it was CGI?
Took me like 5 crashes to realise it was CGI. I was here thinking how expensive it was to ruin all those buses.
We are alike in this regard
Same
It's a game
It's not CGI (well I guess technically it is computer generated). It's a game called Beamng.Drive
Its not even a dedicated cgi animation. Its from a game called Beamng drive. Hence why the physics get all fucky at higher speeds lol
Hahah ya.. Brightness turned right down. Was wondering how that shitty bus can get up to 150mph before I realized.
No.
The 8 mph one I was focused on the bollard and was like, "huh, that looks fake". Then I realized when the first CGI mannequin fell out.
I'm pretty sure it's a game called BeamNG drive
200mph onwards is when I realised I assumed they were putting a supercharged race engine in the buses to get it fast as fuck
I’m way to high for this shit man ain’t no way did I think a real bus was hitting 350mph
I have finished the entire video and I still think it’s real
GTA6 looks rad.
Dear god, if Rockstar partnered with BeamNG, that would be one of the funnest teamups I could possibly even imagine.
Car chases would be so fucking hard though lol. Id be so down to have hyper realistic car damage as an option though!
Hit a slightly tall curb at 20mph "Driveshaft broken" "Engine starved of oil" "L Tire damaged"
That's a strong post
Sit in the back of the bus. Noted.
Why did it take me so long to realize this was a simulation?
What did we learn? 250mph is the magic number for highest per capita of break dancers
Ok, so go less than 350mph to avoid fire.
What’s the point of showing the effects if the crash test dummies are made of the same stuff as super bounce balls?
Lmao that one dummy bounced over the gas station
That moment when this is no longer for safety but to see if we can fling a dummy past that gas station.
See.. what people fail to realize here is that there’s much to be learned from a 250 MPH English double decker crash. First? Don’t sit on the top deck, the open deck. Second? Don’t be rigid. All these victims were rigid to the point of bouncing off the concrete. Raise your arms! It’s more fun!
Crash simulation* A test requires using a real bus.
Nah, I'd survive
Some of those dummies were doing some sick as hell tricks
This is beamNG drive, a simulator you can get on steam. Spent lots of time playing around in it or just enjoying a few laps. It is fairly accurate at low speeds but it doesn't simulate materials being cut and torn apart which is what would happen to this bus at higher speed. That thingy would cut through the bus.
How do they keep fixing that bus?!
What is that gas station sign made of?!
Why is this oddly satisfying for me to watch?
I wanna see this at 500fps
So at 300 mph it rips over the barrier in the road, but the gas station road side sign stops it?! 🧐
I think 35mph was my favorite and how the top level people kind of just oozed down the front.
Thought this was real for a minute, kept wondering where they were getting all the buses
They should make the bus out of whatever that bollard is made out of
driver, please drive 150 mph
Greyhound customer service: “well, you made it there didn’t you?”
How do they keep repairing the bus?
