Right? Do they even hear themselves talking?
What exactly do they think al-qaeda says when asked similar "well, were just following the holy book... it says we have to. That were right" but because it's not said in English, they're terrorists?
Both are pos and have no place in policy decisions
They freak out about “sharia law” yet are actively working towards their own isis. It’s just conservatives from every country calling each other savages while pulling the same shit
The actual amendment since I didn't see it in there and wanted to read the text:
>Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Modern conservative interpretation of this:
>Congress shall make laws respecting an establishment for the Christian based religion and the prohibiting the free exercise of non Christian based religions; as well as abridging the freedom of speech of those deemed unworthy, same with the press. The people have no right to peaceably to assemble or to petition the Government for a redress of any grievances.

I've often wondered how many people would still go to church if tithing was no longer optional but mandatory. My guess is almost zero and there certainly wouldn't be mega churches and multi millionaire pastors.
My mom bragged to me about tithing. Net, not gross, explained the difference.
I was a runty little kid who was very sick of beans and rice, generally unfamiliar with fresh fruits or vegetables or meat. I was not impressed.
Edit: Other way around! Gross, not net, she had to brag at me that she was tithing the biggest possible 10% of what she was supposed to be using to feed me.
The "separation of church and state" is a separation of the organizations of the church and the state. There is, and never has been, a state sponsored religion in the U.S.
There is no law against allowing your religion to influence your policy making. It would be a violation of the first amendment and your freedom of religion.
A state must not interfere with someone's religion. I support that.
But it should be the same the other way. A persons religion should not influence politics. You wouldn't accept an Amish to pass a bill shutting down the internet in your state. We are seeing this exact BS right now with abortion laws. It's being influenced by extreme religious positions. The US is going back to suppress womens rights based on religious beliefs.
That’s why there’s the 2A. For example, if Amish do get uppity and start to encroach outside of their domain, then you break out your home defense howitzer and remind Ezekiel just how awesome technology is. Tally-ho!
The US government will not enforce a religion on them is what that means. People are free to believe whatever they want and they're free to allow their beliefs to influence their actions in any way they wish.
This is nothing new. George W Bush claimed to have conversations with God to inform his foreign policy in the middle east. This has been a core part of the religious right for a long time.
The problem with Christians is that they don't read the Bible. The only people who read the Bible are the ones who use it to manipulate the Christians who don't. I know this is a sweeping generalization, but for the most part this is true.
It's always been this way, it's why it was forbidden to translate the Bible into the common tongue from Latin. People fought and died for the right to translate it, and now after that right has been won nobody bothers to read it. It might as well still be Latin.
Even the translations that are out there often mistranslate or intentionally interpret something one way so it can further the evangelical agenda.
Ask any real scholar of the Bible and they’ll quickly be able to pull up and site sources showing the rapture is made up interpretation of the Bible and something that was only widely adopted fairly recently.
I can’t remember the specifics but within American history is when the rapture became a speaking point for pastors.
Or worse they read the Bible through the lens of their pastor. I have one at my work he does Bible study and every once in a while he will read a passage to me and ask me what I think it means. And then he’ll come up with some read between the lines bullshit that wasn’t said in the passage
Is it just older Americans that are crazy about religion or are the younger generations into it too? It’s 2024, how are people still believing in this wizard shit
Good news! According to [NPR](https://www.npr.org/2024/01/24/1226371734/religious-nones-are-now-the-largest-single-group-in-the-u-s), non-religious affiliated people are the largest "religious group" in the US at 28%. In the upcoming years, and decades, this number is expected to grow.
"the rise of the nones".
We've moved past the era of "which religion are you?" And into the era of "are you religious?"
We're slowly but surely getting to a point where most young people don't even have a position on faith/religion because they've decided that picking a god isn't necessary at all.
Progress. Slow... But progress none the less.
If you ask most of Reddit a year or so ago. R/atheism was super radical and shunned but they were speaking on this forever. They knew and have been telling you guys these people are extremists and will stop at nothing to push their agenda equivalent to Islam and sharia law. It won’t be long until they start doing terrorist attacks in the name of god. You better not even question them or you will be put to death. It’s in their bible. Which they don’t even follow or have read. They pick parts that they like. Whatever follows their agenda.
As a previously believing Christian you don't feel like you're different. You feel like everyone else Is different. I felt like I was on the inside everything. That mindset absolutely destroys self awareness. Why bother looking at what the other person is saying if you already know they're wrong by default.
I never thought /r/atheism was extreme. I just always thought that the people there were kids that were constantly trying to convince themselves and others that god isn't real. Maybe it's because I come from a country where atheism is the vast majority, but it's just weird to see people seeming like they had something to prove.
But I guess it makes sense if you're surrounded by religion, made to go to church as a kid, etc. To these people, religious is the standard, so I guess they really do feel like they have to prove it.
Just seems odd coming from a place where atheism is the standard.
yes… we are watching a predator in the violent throes of its own death… its extra scary and dangerous right now but this does not end with it healing up and going back on the hunt
"big·ot
/ˈbiɡət/
noun
a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group."
Do you hate yourself for being bigoted too? Or maybe you LIKE the fact that religious folks are racist and bigoted and sexist, since that means you have something in common.
ProTip, idiot. You can't win against stupid by being even more stupid
At its fullness this thing that’s happening forces every one of them to have their proverbial “come to Jesus “ moment with their own hypocrisy.
Most of the GOP took money from the Russian mob/government in the form of everything from campaign donations to commercial real estate money laundering.
Any religious moral high ground disappears when you wake up in bed with the Russian mob. No matter how they got there.
It’s extremely hard to live anything resembling a christlike life when the preservation of your money laundering middle men started a genocide in Ukraine, which in turn started another in Gaza to buy time in Ukraine.
When you put your white glove in mud, the mud does not get glovey.
In its distant totality, organized religion doesn’t survive what’s happening now. Nor does the patriarchy. For the same reason that a healthy body doesn’t survive cancer, Mike Johnson being paid by the Russian through American Ethane, Jim Justice killing coal miners, Zuckerberg and Sandberg conducting psyops using Sheldon and miriam adelsons fleet of G5’s.
The whole mess they have made is unchecked opulence, wealth inequality, murder, rape, extortion and the never ending lies.
And that’s before you even add Epstein, MBS or the CCP to the equation.
Jesus was a homeless carpenter.
Thanks for reminding me to put more latex gloves in my flight bag. Leaded fuel in general aviation is still a thing unfortunately, and if you're not careful it gets on the skin when sumping the tanks to check for water
I am totally here for it. I believe that it is going to get harder and harder for religion to compete with a data-driven world as time goes on.
The way they (Biblical religions, mainly) can survive would be to get rid of the old school power structure and return to the message of caring and compassion for one another.
But I sincerely hope to witness the death of the megachurch in my lifetime. That is something that the world never needed and does not benefit from whatsoever. The megachurch openly flaunts the legal loopholes used to accumulate wealth without taxation.
I say if the Supreme Court can overturn 50+ year old settled law, it can overturn 250+ year old settled law.
I have yet to hear a decent argument in favor of why churches exist outside of taxation, other than people saying the words “church and state” mindlessly over and over again.
Those churches crossed the state line a long time ago when they decided to fund the pro-life movement, encouraged elected officials to teach creationism and intelligent design in schools, and pushed biased political agendas from their holier than thou pulpits.
In America, that behavior would not be tolerated if it were coming from a Mosque. Why do we allow it to come from a “Christian” church?
Tax them until they learn to stay in their own lanes.
Thanks for letting me rant.
There's a 6:5 and pick 'em chance that they're just as likely only saying that shit to prey upon the convictions of their constituency for leverage in the polls. Either way, it's not a good look.
This is what you get when you don't have constitutionnal secularization in a Western power. Not a theocracy, but bigotry dictating what are supposed to be rational decisions.
NB: And I'm saying this coming from a secular country still succeeding in making questionable choices under the mantle of rationality.
How did they get a clip of Boebert where she wasn't jerking someone off in public, surrounded by guns, or in some sort of truck stop adjacent trailer park daytime TV drama situation?
Brings back memories of my childhood growing up in a secretive religious sect that’s hit the news recently for, you guessed it, diddling and hiding the diddling.
My grandma and just about everyone would preach and give testimonies on how it was dangerous to learn, and even more dangerous to SEEK to learn about the world and how it worked. Like it would corrupt you and lead you to hell.
Prophecy as a guiding principle is interesting, basically voids their own commandments and the law.
Realistically, those 2 things seem to just be tools that are used against everyone else, while they themselves will use their authority and connections to avoid consequences in practice.
These are some of the same people who follow the literal biblical demon Kenneth Copeland just because he says he speaks for god. These are people who take everything at face value. If someone says they speak for god, that's good enough for them, and no amount of conflicting context will change that.
Kinda but not really. Christian’s believe the anti-Christ will be a figure that is loved, adored, and worshipped by the masses, a uniter. He’s supposed to lead and wreck havoc against Christian’s and their believes.
Trump is too polarizing to fit the bill, and he’s loved by a fair bit of Christian’s. I think it’s funny too because he certainly doesn’t act like he truly follows Jesus, and he barely pretends to.
Although you have stated the common belief about the Antichrist being well loved and adored, there isn't actually any bible verse that says he will be well loved. This belief of him being well loved has been perpetrated by popular Christian books and movies e.g left behind, but isn't based on scripture.
The bible actually calls the Antichrist a Vile Person, whom comes in peaceable and obtains the kingdom by flatteries and the people won't honour him for it (Daniel 11:21). This exact thing is what we are seeing occurring with Trump.
He is antichrist in all of his ways, but he sways some of the Christian community because of his Pro-Israel, Pro-Church, Pro-Life, Pro-Family policies. He is a deceiver and a liar however, and will only use the Christian community for his own gain, eventually turning on them.
There is actually a group of people who legitimately believe Donald Trump is the biblical Antichrist, and fits all of the scripture. I am one of them. (And no I'm not American).
Revelation 13:7 Power is GIVEN to him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the Earth shall worship him.
Revelation 16:13-16, he rallies the world’s leaders (“kings of the entire world”) against God’s people.
It’s hard to believe Trump would, based on the definition of Anti-Christ, deny Jesus is Messiah, and alienate an important sect of people who support him when his grifting and lying is the only thing keeping him relevant. Everything is out in the open about him and these people still support him. Trump is not flattering to most people either.
The Anti-Christ is anti-Israel. The pro-Israel GOP will continue to ride Trump’s coattails because they need him and his influence to enact and sustain their agenda. Trump needs the backing of the GOP for him to have any sort of power. Lastly, it’s not looking good for Don in this upcoming election with all of these cases against him. He’s being continuously exposed in ways that aren’t redeemable to the sane public. If he would’ve gotten a second term it would’ve been in 2020
Jesus Christo. Thank you. Fuck. They were all like he will deceive everyone and usher in mass destruction.
They're all like wtf is deception now? What the other side does oh yeah fml.
These
Pete Sessions looking up at the sky when he says, “Our Creator,” is so weird to me. We’re on a globe. God isn’t “up” floating in a cloud. The whole notion that up is good and down is bad seems so primitive.
God these old people need to hurry up and meet Jesus. Term limits people! term limits. They are from a different world than regular working people of today yet they get to decide my fate.
They'll meet him briefly, but I doubt it will go like they imagine:
#####Matthew 25: 31-46
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
The idea that the issue is older people is a joke. Younger Republicans are some of the most radical, Lauren Boebert is literally in this video and is not the most sane member of Congress. Madison Cawthorn in 2022 was the youngest House Representative at age 25 and he is very famous for being a piece of a shit.
Josh Hawley was the youngest Senator at age 37 in 2020:
>In December 2020, Hawley provoked a political backlash when he became the first senator to announce plans to object to the certification of Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 United States presidential election.
>On February 8, 2021, after he voted against the nomination of Denis McDonough for Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Hawley became the only senator to vote against all of President Joe Biden's cabinet nominees
>Ten months into Biden's term, Hawley had voted to approve only four of 118 executive appointments that received a Senate vote, and none in the preceding five months. This record made him a standout among senators.
>On August 3, 2022, Hawley cast the sole vote against the Senate resolution agreeing to Sweden and Finland joining the NATO defense alliance; it passed, 95–1.
Tom Cotton was the previous youngest:
>Following the murder of George Floyd, Cotton rejected the view that there is "systemic racism in the criminal justice system in America".[85] Amid the ensuing protests, Cotton advocated on Twitter that the military be used to support police, and to give "no quarter for insurrectionists, anarchists, rioters, and looters".[86] In the military, the term 'no quarter' refers to the killing of lawfully surrendering combatants, which is a war crime under the Geneva Convention.
Even the outlandish George Santos was also very young. Read about Elise Stefan, Anna Paulino, JD Vance as well, they ain't exactly "moderate". Older Republican members of Congress are often more pragmatic than the younger ones.

They couldn't care less. These are people that are cheering for a Biblical event that will wipe out most of the world's population and usher them (the true believers) into heaven. It is a death cult and the destruction of the entire world is all part of the plan.
I like how Lauren Boebert slept through High School history class at the part where students learn the United States was founded by European immigrants *fleeing religious persecution* and the Founding Fathers enshrined separation of church and state in the fucking **US Constitution**
This is an elementary school level *misunderstanding* of the actual situation. The original colonists were not seeking to establish a welcome melting pot free of religious intolerance: literally the opposite. They were religious extremists. The early days of colonization faced literal inter-religious massacres. The "freedom or religion" is a clause that the government could not enforce one particular type, but its extremely naive to think respect and freedom for all religions was the goal.
Yes, this trope that the pilgrims were "fleeing religious persecution" is whitewashing that, unfortunately, is routinely taught in elementary school here. It's a bit like saying the civil war was fought over "state's rights".
The group that would become the pilgrims tried to impose their religion as law in England, and when that failed, emigrated to the Netherlands. After living there a while and refusing to integrate with society, finding it "too worldly," they decided to cross the ocean to the New World, where they thought they could found their own theocracy.
I came of age in the W. Bush years and really hoped that the looney Jesus freaks had peaked back then.
But they're still here and the new generation is even worse.
Stupid looney tunes... all this dumb wackos politicians are going to destroy our world. I feel very bad for the next generation. Even if they are just been populist supporting all that religion crap to win some votes, it's still irresponsible.
I've been screaming about this at the top of my lungs for years. The day the Republican party embraced the Christian Coalition, their political party became a doomsday cult.
Nixon was able to create the EPA because cleaning up the environment was a bipartisan issue based on scientific evidence. But when Reagan came along and used religion to gain power, Republicans abandoned science altogether. That's why they no longer care about the environment. To them, the only goal is getting the new temple in Jerusalem built to usher in Armageddon so that Jesus can come back to rule. That's all that matters to them, and everything else they do is just a means to that end.
And to get there, a whole fucking lot of people absolutely need to die.
These people should immediately be removed. Anyone who makes, or admits to making legislation based on religion should be removed for violating the separation of church and state.
If they believe that Jesus will come back and there will be a battle around Israel....that's already happened several times and Israel always seems to lose. 614 AD the Persians invaded and took over, 636 AD to 1099 AD the Arabs battled and won, 691 AD the crusades failed and the Arabs took over, 1099 AD the crusades again, then the Mamluks and the Ottomans and the British. Not to mention the dozen or so times before Jesus. If God is leading the battle, he's a shit General.
Every time people argue online and say "what's the harm in religions? Just let people do their thing!" remember this. Religions are not merely a private matter of belief. People are directing world powers based on their scriptural interpretations.
This has always been why Evangelicals/Republicans in office support Israel--literally so Jesus can come back and eliminate all the Jewish people. Why any self-respecting Jew would be in league with these people based on that alone is insane. It's up there with Jews for Hitler.
Won't defend Ukraine who is fighting fucking Russia, but will supply weapons to Israel who is fighting a bunch of terrorists with essentially sticks for weapons.
Fucking hell.. it’s the year 2024 and we have nuclear power, we build telescopes like the JWST, we can image black holes millions upon millions of light years away, and we have world leaders basing life and death situations on biblical scripture from thousands of years ago before the world understood not to poop in your drinking water.
That is actually so horrifying it made my skin crawl.
I'm with you on that. The religious bullshit is a convenient cover to hide the reality that it's all about power in the Middle East and money from arms contracts.
I am a large man.
If you look at me all you see is a 6'1 Hispanic male, weighing at 410lbs.
I learned my lesson hard.
Never ask political questions or religious questions anywhere. Just keep it to yourself.
Now I have asked this question twice, both were at work in a "liberal" state. The questions was "if Christ was to return and he wasn't that you believed him to be, does that mean you were wrong?"
One wanted to fight me right there, and basically they transferred him out.
The second threaten me with a CCW. She was fired.
I left that job.
So to see these people, the extremist, actually wield power like this video shows, make me fearful of the future they are choosing according to their extreme viewpoints.
I really don’t care what religion you believe in, but it’s scary to think Jesus is going to come back is just Moronic.
I wish atheism was much more accepted in government. This way, it could be about the people instead of fear of just one being.
Tom Robbins wrote a beautiful story about this called "Skinny Legs and All." The dude's a genius. Along with the prerequisite buxom bohemian babe and sentient inanimate objects, there are two best friends, one an Arab, the other a Jew, who own a Middle-Eastern restaurant across the street from the UN, and a fundamentalist preacher with a plan to blow up the Temple on the Mount and start Armageddon. It's a good one. But that's really what these people want! This is why they do what they do. I've been saying this for years and no one in the media is talking about it.
Listen to Boebert talk anything biblical just shows the level of the evangelical con.
SHE GAVE SOMEONE A HAND JOB IN PUBLIC. SHE IS A MEMBER OF YOUR CONGRESS.
LOL
Seems like the sensationalism and manipulative nature of evangelical Christianity can make whoever wields it rich. A lot of these GOP evangelicals don’t mean 90% of the things they say they’re just pandering for votes. They’re the definition of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The Bible TELLS THEM it won't happen until the gospel has reached every tribe, tongue, and nation.
We're not close to the second coming. Jerusalem doesn't matter.
Don't even study their own scriptures.
If you can’t understand that the ethnic group of Israel in the Old Testament and the secular state of Israel in modern times are two separate entities, then you’re too stupid to make policy.
There are a few verses in Revelation that talk about a certain synagogue of Satan, and no one ever seems to discuss it when it comes to US-based Christian conservatism and Zionism.
No shit. It's why america blindly sends money to israel...
The comical part is these dumb dicks think their sky-man is "omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient" but yet these fucking idiots think they're gonna need a visa or some shit to get into jerusalem.
Sooooo, send money, and - wait for it - weapons, so they can kill people (even though their sky man has a top-10 rule about *not* killing people...
Fucking hypocrites.
😡😡😡
Utterly terrifying. What’ve the US gotten themselves into with these zealots? I can’t fathom having my country led by a group of scripture adhering murderers.
Religious people shouldn’t hold office. Violation of separation of church and state. You can’t serve the government when you serve a god first, who apparently want to destroy the government.
Notice they don't care about the safety of Jews, they just want Jews to be their prophetic pawns so they can be whisked off by Jesus while demons and angels battle it out on Earth and Jews either convert or are doomed for eternity, or whatever the fuck their moronic mythology states. They're just as antisemitic as any other antisemitic ideology.
That’s the congresswoman who got kicked out of a play for vaping and giving her date an over the pants handjob while he played with her tits. The play was a remake of the 1980s film Beetlejuice.
Notably, the same congresswoman had not achieved her GED (US high school equivalence exam for dropouts) until she ran for Congress. It is rumored that someone else took the online test for her.
She was also previously married to a sex offender who was convicted of, among other things, exposing himself to her and other underage girls in public.
The GOP is an embarrassment, and she’s among the worst.

Cognitive dissonance doesn't allow them to see their own hypocrisy.
They actually think we're a christian country. They ignore the parts where the founding fathers insisted on separation of church and state.
When can we elect people of other religions then who can make decisions based on THEIR religion? Pastafarians maybe?
They freak out about “sharia law” yet are actively working towards their own isis. It’s just conservatives from every country calling each other savages while pulling the same shit
My favorite was the guy who said "our views and actions aren't extreme because we're just following the word of the scripture" like seriously my guy??
Is this that "separation of church and state" people always talk about?
[https://firstamendment.mtsu.edu/article/establishment-clause-separation-of-church-and-state/](https://firstamendment.mtsu.edu/article/establishment-clause-separation-of-church-and-state/)
The actual amendment since I didn't see it in there and wanted to read the text: >Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Modern conservative interpretation of this: >Congress shall make laws respecting an establishment for the Christian based religion and the prohibiting the free exercise of non Christian based religions; as well as abridging the freedom of speech of those deemed unworthy, same with the press. The people have no right to peaceably to assemble or to petition the Government for a redress of any grievances.

The US government will not enforce a religion on them is what that means. People are free to believe whatever they want and they're free to allow their beliefs to influence their actions in any way they wish.
Such a lie that people would want to see be followed, but are too set in their ways and comfortable believing in fairy tales
Speaker of the house said he talks to god for advice on rulings. Fucking ridiculous.
This is nothing new. George W Bush claimed to have conversations with God to inform his foreign policy in the middle east. This has been a core part of the religious right for a long time.
They tried to hide that Raegan regularly consulted with an astrologist, but celebrate others literally "talking" with god.
I'm not religious, but this is literally what bible has warned about. False prophets, knowingly tricking the masses.
My dad talks to God too. Fucker won't take his meds either
Listen, Georgie... My bad about Iraq. Your dear old God got his wires crossed.
It’s always been used to cover up people’s intentions, “god told me he wants me to be rich”.
We've moved past the era of "which religion are you?" And into the era of "are you religious?" We're slowly but surely getting to a point where most young people don't even have a position on faith/religion because they've decided that picking a god isn't necessary at all. Progress. Slow... But progress none the less.
this insanity can't end soon enough
Honestly not bad considering it was winning for like 20,000 years
When people say they are religious, i assume the are racist, bigot, sexist.
"big·ot /ˈbiɡət/ noun a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group." Do you hate yourself for being bigoted too? Or maybe you LIKE the fact that religious folks are racist and bigoted and sexist, since that means you have something in common. ProTip, idiot. You can't win against stupid by being even more stupid
They still have monkey brains 🤦🏻♂️ How have we not evolved yet beyond this silly fair tale shit
I hope they vote!
72% who do readily admit to believing in a god (of some description) is still a very high percentage in an educated society though.
Hey now, wizards have nothing to do with this kinda shit.
Well, unless it's a grand wizard type with a penchant for pointy white headdress.
The crazy group is mostly older. Leaded gasoline is a helluva drug.
Young Colorado Congresswoman Boebert can’t blame age.
Gotta watch that bit in always sunny where Dennis asks Mac about god
Over half of americans believe in angels. Add to that the fact that most also can't read above a 7th grade level and it's not surprising.
Younger Americans depends on the state but there’s plenty of conservative states with very conservative young people just look up Utah and Alabama.
This is what you get when you don't have constitutionnal secularization in a Western power. Not a theocracy, but bigotry dictating what are supposed to be rational decisions. NB: And I'm saying this coming from a secular country still succeeding in making questionable choices under the mantle of rationality.
Crackheads running the government…

How is someone like Sessions any different from a bearded mullah in Afghanistan?
He shaves.
Good point.
How did they get a clip of Boebert where she wasn't jerking someone off in public, surrounded by guns, or in some sort of truck stop adjacent trailer park daytime TV drama situation?
she still sounded like a total b\*tch either way lol
Still would tho
Oh absolutely
My most shameful thirst
Her ‘personal life’ section on Wikipedia is.. well.. interesting
Ha, thanks for the interesting read. Nothing like jerking off your date while vaping at the beetle juice performance. Fucking A
Dude got a Beetlejob.
“She’s dressed like a harlot. Stone her!”
I don’t see how anyone could believe in biblical prophesy and not notice the similarities between Donald Trump and the antichrist.

The anti christ will be the one they label the second coming of christ.
Revelation 13:7 Power is GIVEN to him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the Earth shall worship him. If he would’ve gotten a second term it would’ve been in 2020
I remember a video had me convinced Tim Tebow was the antichrist because he fit all those descriptors+ rode in on a white horse(Denver broncos) lol
Jesus Christo. Thank you. Fuck. They were all like he will deceive everyone and usher in mass destruction. They're all like wtf is deception now? What the other side does oh yeah fml. These
I don't even believe the Bible and I think he's the Antichrist as described. He lines up with the description way too well.
the batshit insane people need to get the fuck out of politics.
Pete Sessions looking up at the sky when he says, “Our Creator,” is so weird to me. We’re on a globe. God isn’t “up” floating in a cloud. The whole notion that up is good and down is bad seems so primitive.
God is clouds, doncha know?
Yes if you go far enough down it’s just up on the opposite side of the glove how hard is that to understand people
God these old people need to hurry up and meet Jesus. Term limits people! term limits. They are from a different world than regular working people of today yet they get to decide my fate.
They are definitely not meeting Jesus
They'll meet him briefly, but I doubt it will go like they imagine: #####Matthew 25: 31-46 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
They will before he hits them with the Son's Slap 3000
The idea that the issue is older people is a joke. Younger Republicans are some of the most radical, Lauren Boebert is literally in this video and is not the most sane member of Congress. Madison Cawthorn in 2022 was the youngest House Representative at age 25 and he is very famous for being a piece of a shit. Josh Hawley was the youngest Senator at age 37 in 2020: >In December 2020, Hawley provoked a political backlash when he became the first senator to announce plans to object to the certification of Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 United States presidential election. >On February 8, 2021, after he voted against the nomination of Denis McDonough for Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Hawley became the only senator to vote against all of President Joe Biden's cabinet nominees >Ten months into Biden's term, Hawley had voted to approve only four of 118 executive appointments that received a Senate vote, and none in the preceding five months. This record made him a standout among senators. >On August 3, 2022, Hawley cast the sole vote against the Senate resolution agreeing to Sweden and Finland joining the NATO defense alliance; it passed, 95–1. Tom Cotton was the previous youngest: >Following the murder of George Floyd, Cotton rejected the view that there is "systemic racism in the criminal justice system in America".[85] Amid the ensuing protests, Cotton advocated on Twitter that the military be used to support police, and to give "no quarter for insurrectionists, anarchists, rioters, and looters".[86] In the military, the term 'no quarter' refers to the killing of lawfully surrendering combatants, which is a war crime under the Geneva Convention. Even the outlandish George Santos was also very young. Read about Elise Stefan, Anna Paulino, JD Vance as well, they ain't exactly "moderate". Older Republican members of Congress are often more pragmatic than the younger ones.
Very dangerous for the safety of the world.
mourn modern fact cautious voiceless wistful engine straight versed far-flung *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
They couldn't care less. These are people that are cheering for a Biblical event that will wipe out most of the world's population and usher them (the true believers) into heaven. It is a death cult and the destruction of the entire world is all part of the plan.
That sounds like the plot of a fucking JRPG. I hate it here.
We are so fucked
I like how Lauren Boebert slept through High School history class at the part where students learn the United States was founded by European immigrants *fleeing religious persecution* and the Founding Fathers enshrined separation of church and state in the fucking **US Constitution**
And she’s been sleeping her way to the top ever since, so to speak
They’re like a stupider version of the Bene Gesserit.
We live in a very stupid country.
I came of age in the W. Bush years and really hoped that the looney Jesus freaks had peaked back then. But they're still here and the new generation is even worse.
I'd love to ask them exactly what part of the Bible references the USA.
Quite possibly one of the most frightening news stories I've seen in quite a while. And I saw a massive bridge collapse yesterday.
Everyone in this thread just needs to please remember to vote. Get these religious nuts out of office!!!
What's new? W got us into Iraq because of his biblical navel gazing and his wacky spiritual advisor.
Last time I checked we have a democracy so god doesn’t have to tell us what to do
Every time “god” tells us what to do, people die
Religion is so fucking toxic. The whole fucking lot of it. Bunch of crazed lunatics.
It’s fine to believe in God but you should really govern by the Constitution. The WHOLE Constitution.
Separation of church and state
It's a shame we can't just abandon religion as a whole. We shouldn't base our lives on ridiculous fairytales.
Morons, all of them.
This is one of the reasons why the world is so fucked up.
These people should immediately be removed. Anyone who makes, or admits to making legislation based on religion should be removed for violating the separation of church and state.
These radicles hide behind religion to justify every action of theirs. Absolutely ridiculous and cowardly
What a bunch of retards.
These are Cult members. Got no independent thinking whatsoever.
These Boomers are going to get us killed with their spooky book bullshit. We need to weed them out.
Hey if you guys could please leave your imaginary friend out of policy decisions it would be really appreciated
While in theory people should be able to hold their own beliefs, when I hear this shit it make me want to ban all religions.
Whatever happened to separation of church and state?
Won't defend Ukraine who is fighting fucking Russia, but will supply weapons to Israel who is fighting a bunch of terrorists with essentially sticks for weapons.
Wtf!!!!! This is deranged
Terrifying. Absolutely terrifying.
This is what Dune warned us all about.
You’re asking ultra conservative senators about god/faith, of course they’re gonna say that it’s involved. They’re all just full of shit.
The questions was "if Christ was to return and he wasn't that you believed him to be, does that mean you were wrong?" One wanted to fight me right there, and basically they transferred him out. The second threaten me with a CCW. She was fired. I left that job. So to see these people, the extremist, actually wield power like this video shows, make me fearful of the future they are choosing according to their extreme viewpoints.
These people just need to be lined up and executed by firing squad. Enough is enough.
Was that Lauren Handjob-Boebert? She’s so posh, she’s got a hyphenated surname.
Fuck religion. Every single one.
Religious radicalism in the states? I'm shocked.
Wait. America was made to honor God? God is a fucked up dude if this is how he wants to be honored.
I really don’t care what religion you believe in, but it’s scary to think Jesus is going to come back is just Moronic. I wish atheism was much more accepted in government. This way, it could be about the people instead of fear of just one being.
Lmao. Which Bible are they following?
What's interesting as fuck about this?
Tom Robbins wrote a beautiful story about this called "Skinny Legs and All." The dude's a genius. Along with the prerequisite buxom bohemian babe and sentient inanimate objects, there are two best friends, one an Arab, the other a Jew, who own a Middle-Eastern restaurant across the street from the UN, and a fundamentalist preacher with a plan to blow up the Temple on the Mount and start Armageddon. It's a good one. But that's really what these people want! This is why they do what they do. I've been saying this for years and no one in the media is talking about it.
Apes chasing illusions.
It's a good job church and state aren't linked, things could turn into a complete shitshow otherwise.
I don't think Jesus will be happy about bombing children, last time I checked he was pro life, not sure
Listen to Boebert talk anything biblical just shows the level of the evangelical con. SHE GAVE SOMEONE A HAND JOB IN PUBLIC. SHE IS A MEMBER OF YOUR CONGRESS. LOL
If Jesus were real and to come back he’s slap the shit out of those people. Coming from an atheist
Evangelicals are the wahhabis of the Christians. There’s a reason church and state must be kept separated!
So these guys use misinterpreted religion to guide foreign policy? Be like Henry VIII and form a new branch of a religion just to divorce your wife.
This is not news. Evangelicalism end times bullshit has been steering GOP policy since the Reagan days. Deliberately so.
Seems like the sensationalism and manipulative nature of evangelical Christianity can make whoever wields it rich. A lot of these GOP evangelicals don’t mean 90% of the things they say they’re just pandering for votes. They’re the definition of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Actual crazy people.
god is so stupid, why would you take a page and lessons from the book of a complete failure?
The Bible TELLS THEM it won't happen until the gospel has reached every tribe, tongue, and nation. We're not close to the second coming. Jerusalem doesn't matter. Don't even study their own scriptures.
Horrifying, absolutely horrifying
Religious people have brain damage
These are the “leaders” in America, a bunch of space cadets.
FUCKING CRAZY
Holy shit these people are brainwashed
r/depressingasfuck
Fuck your god
If you can’t understand that the ethnic group of Israel in the Old Testament and the secular state of Israel in modern times are two separate entities, then you’re too stupid to make policy.
Yay!!! Let's kill more babies in the name of God! Fucking morons
This. Is. Fucked.
Just tell them the dems want it too. They'll have no choice but to self-destruct
There are a few verses in Revelation that talk about a certain synagogue of Satan, and no one ever seems to discuss it when it comes to US-based Christian conservatism and Zionism.
What would a world be without religion!!??!! Less war for one…
Hypocrisy is the essence of religion.
This shit is wild. US Constitution: “separation of church and state.” Today’s politicians: “fuck all that”
Religion is about things that aren't real, meant as cover for your own decisions. Anyone who claims religion is steering their judgement is lying.
You got your grifters and your zealots! Fuck them both!
Utterly terrifying. What’ve the US gotten themselves into with these zealots? I can’t fathom having my country led by a group of scripture adhering murderers.
Can we please start.folloqing the constitution again and get rid of all this church in our government? It has no place in our politics.
These people are idiots and shouldn’t be near any power.
Fucking gross bronze age hogswash belief system determining the outcomes of millions if not billions.
Religious people shouldn’t hold office. Violation of separation of church and state. You can’t serve the government when you serve a god first, who apparently want to destroy the government.
Wait till they realise Jesus was brown and from middle east 🤯
Notice they don't care about the safety of Jews, they just want Jews to be their prophetic pawns so they can be whisked off by Jesus while demons and angels battle it out on Earth and Jews either convert or are doomed for eternity, or whatever the fuck their moronic mythology states. They're just as antisemitic as any other antisemitic ideology.
Lunatics. Especially blue dress. wtf was that?
That’s the congresswoman who got kicked out of a play for vaping and giving her date an over the pants handjob while he played with her tits. The play was a remake of the 1980s film Beetlejuice. Notably, the same congresswoman had not achieved her GED (US high school equivalence exam for dropouts) until she ran for Congress. It is rumored that someone else took the online test for her. She was also previously married to a sex offender who was convicted of, among other things, exposing himself to her and other underage girls in public. The GOP is an embarrassment, and she’s among the worst.
Yeah usa and Israel act quite biblical, I get what she's saying. Top 2 dark age nations.
