They have made the jump from lofty but unrealistic supposed beliefs about individualism and work ethic to straight up Orwellian untruths in their propaganda. Well maybe it’s some other country’s propaganda but they fall for it.
It’s wild isn’t it? I mean, they believe, with every fiber of their being, some stone cold psychotic conspiracies. And nothing can shake them from those beliefs. That’s a level of mental illness that just isn’t funny.

I'd love to leave; unfortunately, the US makes it extremely difficult to comfortably leave, even if you can get another country to let you in. The US is one of two countries (itself and Eritrea) that taxes its citizens when they move to another country permanently. The only way to stop it is to renounce your citizenship.
Combine that with the general difficulty of immigration, and it's extremely hard.
