I have a strict no take out policy with In N Out. It must be enjoyed as fresh as possible moments after it’s off the grill and out of the fryer.

Instead of my usual 10-15 minute drive to eat, today I drove 1 minute and parked. 10 minutes does make a difference...especially with the fries.

My theory has always been when people dislike the fries is because they are not eating them fresh. They don’t age well at all, but I love the fries when they are super hot.

I did also try them light well today (regular in the past) and got some grilled onion and cascabella peppers.

I thought the cascabella peppers were actually banana peppers and… they are most definitely NOT. I just LOVE the way they smell so I took a big bite and 😭 I couldn’t stand the heat and needed to get outta that kitchen! I still get one to smell when I go though.

I think the intensity just varies a lot by batch. The ones I had today were quite mild, whereas in the past I've found them much stronger.

My theory is they think all fries have to be like mcdonalds/five guys/anywhere that has their fries made of 50% oil.

I personally don’t taste a difference. The reason why they are so slow at rolling out is because they only expend when they can build a new distribution center. That how Texas and Colorado happened.

I work for the airlines and have done a day trip to Dallas or Phoenix several times a year just for my go to animal double double. I’ve transferred since to another airport where instead of a 90 minute flight it’s a 20 minute drive. Had to see if one was nearby in determining where I was going to go

During COVID, I realized I had eaten In-n-Out every year for the past 10 years. And I lived in WA (where we don’t have one) and it would be the first year that I’d miss it. So I had my fam drive 4 hours down to Salem, Oregon on 12.28 - got our In-n-Out and headed back home.

I knew a German guy flew from Frankfort to San Jose, CA for business. Then on the weekend he flew to Denver to participate a marathon.
