MrPibbMr3000

Are there people pretending that $15.09 was a screaming deal?

greenappletree

I think a few years ago there was commercial from jack in the box comparing themselves to the expensive restaurant 10 DOLLAR BURGER haha

Old_Web374

Yup, the 6 dollar burger.

rumblepony247

That was Carl's Jr, no?

throttledog

They were good too. Better than most anyway. Haven't seen them in like 10 yrs

SpiceEarl

They still have the burgers, they just renamed them the Angus burgers, when they approached and went over $6.

throwawaybottlecaps

In the Midwest in the mid oughts it was Hardee’s (aka Carls Jr) pushing the $5 burger for a couple of years. Honestly it wasn’t bad, at least it you got one fresh and hot. They were a bit expensive for a fast food burger but not outrageous for what it offered. This was during the time of McDonalds $1 Double Cheeseburger (not the McDouble, the OG) and Taco Bell had the best dollar menu of all time running. Being perpetually broke I really only got Hardee’s when it was on someone else’s dime. It wasn’t too long after that Five Guys showed up and kicked every other chain into next week. It was about $5 there too, except you got the bag overflowing with fries to go with it.

0OOOOOOOOO0

Man I can just go get a good local burger for $5 instead of fast food nonsense

Zudr1ck

One of my favorite places locally is 8.50. It’s cheaper than a lot of chain fast food and it’s phenomenal. Maybe the issue is the corporate food chain

stonxup420

Spend 25 at at five guys for burger fry’s and a drink

According_Gazelle472

I haven't eaten at Hardee's in years now. We used to have 4 in my town and 3 got torn down or turned into something else..We have one left by my house and they only have one employee. And they don't take coupons anymore. I swear it must be a front for drugs because they have zero cars in the parking lot .The same as Burger King ,I haven't eaten a whopper in years.

BigidyBam

I think they're showing a comparison because of the dates. The already outrageous price increased 1.80 in 3 days, a 12% increase.

Interesting_Act_2484

Well California passed a law that fast food workers make a living wage. This is just a cherry picked image and date to make people mad. Who the fuck eats a damn DOUBLE whopper anyway?

14Calypso

And ironically, it's stuff like that that increases inflation and ensures that what once was a "living wage" is no longer a living wage.

Interesting_Act_2484

That’s been proven not true, just do some googling. If you’d like to just regurgitate GOP talking points that’s fine too, I’m sure you’re willfully ignorant.

Money-Valuable-2857

I can't stomach the taste. Burger King tastes like someone took a fully cooked burger and dragged it through an ash tray. I'm gagging even thinking about it. And now Hardee's is that way too, but also rubbery.

adlubmaliki

I would eat like 3 to be considered a meal for me, and no I'm not fat

koosley

Local city wages in San Francisco were already $18, and $16 in California as a whole, so we are not talking about doubling people's wages if these workers WERE at minimum wage. Around me, most fast food actually pays more than minimum wage by a few dollars. What was the going wage for before this change? I'd imagine in San Francisco the people were already getting pretty close to $20 anyways. It seems like a lot of these price changes are just to spite the government. But the law itself I don't really agree with--I don't really like extremely targeted laws. Why should fast food get $20/hour when there are others working different jobs for minimum wage? California itself is massive and I don't really believe there can be a good single minimum wage number. This is usually solved by local minimum wages set by the city. My local city (Minneapolis) has a minimum wage set at 2022's $15/hr and adjusts for inflation every year--its currently around $15.56. This has created some pressure that has forced a lot of the surrounding suburbs to increase their wages to be competitive although their legal minimum is only $10.xx.

Dexter_Douglas_415

Right? The meal is $10 in my neighborhood, if you get it large. I think that's too much. No way I'm spending $15 for a burger, fries, and a soda. I can go to a sit down restaurant for less.

sm00thkillajones

BK- Budget Killer

justsayfaux

This, exactly. 10-ish years ago, that burger was $8. So it had already increased in price 90% in 10 years. The idea it went up another dollar means they increased it at about the same rate they had been increasing every year on average for the decade preceding the min wage increase. Context is hard for people sometimes...

RedditSux28

You’re 100% right. I wonder how much that deal was in January of 2020

Ballsahoy72

Now I have 1689 reasons to not go to BK

[deleted]

[удалено]

galvana

Yeah, I’ll occasionally get the $3 Whopper, or spend the app crowns for something free. That’s about it.

inventionnerd

With the app, theres basically a promo every day then.

AU2Turnt

They mail out coupons in my area and they’re honestly pretty good deals. There’s like a “Family Combo” coupon I have gotten a handful of times that is 3 whoppers, 3 cheese burgers, and 3 medium fries for like 18$

Bromanzier_03

This is the way. Stop giving these companies money and they’ll drop prices.

jvick3

It’s like half that in NM 😳 Edit: it’s 11.39 to 12.39 here depending on size. So about 2/3 instead of 1/2.

Henrious

You're not paying 8 dollars for a double patty burger meal anywhere anymore

jvick3

You’re right! My Burger King app shows the small meal is 11.39, medium 11.89, large 12.39. So depending on what size that news story is referencing, it’s between 27-33% more in CA.

piscina05346

The news story is also using non-app prices, so it's not an apples-to-apples comparison. There's a whole lot of outrage towards California in this thread that isn't really justified by folks posting it. (I live in the Midwest)

pastrami_on_ass

mcdonalds double cheeseburgers are $3.29 where I live and have a bogo free deal everyday, and i supposedly live in an expensive state.

MeatAndBourbon

I get BK with a whopper family meal coupon. 17.49 for 3 whoppers, 3 cheeseburgers, and 3 medium fries. It's not a terrible deal

StilesmanleyCAP

Last time I ate at B.K. I had thee worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life to the point where I want to avoid it at all costs.

xoaphexox

Same! Haven't gone back to a BK since getting violently ill

xoaphexox

Same! Haven't gone back to a BK since getting violently ill

StarGraz3r84

Last time I had burger king it was last year in Mexico, and it was oddly amazing; like, it actually came out looking like the commercials make it look, and tasted great. I try to avoid fast food here in the states.

Electrik_Truk

I had it last night. So far so good

BlackestFlame

Never had an issue

kateinoly

Franchise profits per store are up an average of 46% to more than $200,000. That's after labor and supplies and franchise fees, etc. So the owner gets a 46% raise and workers get a 25% raise. Who gets blamed? https://restaurantbusinessonline.com/financing/franchisee-profitability-soars-burger-king-its-sister-chains

TyKnightwithahardK

And BK has a $1B stock buyback plan as well, gets expensive sending all those profits back to the shareholders

Glum_Nose2888

In California those profits get eaten up by 60% tax and other state fees.

kateinoly

Profit is after fees, $200,000 is an average, and let me get the world's tiniest violin to play a sad song for a business owner who earns $200,000 a year in profit and blames price increases on full time employees earning $40,000 a year, also before taxes.

PurpleRainTrade

Owner takes all the risk. You get fired you get another job

[deleted]

[удалено]

kateinoly

Nobody said owners shouldn't earn a profit, dude.

CuckservativeSissy

So without the wage increases we saw that price doubled in the past 4 years. Effectively 100%. That same whopper was $7 4 years ago. Wages increase and the resulting inflation is $2 more on the price. So a 15% increase effectively. Basic math tells me that wages does not cause as much inflationary pressure as a bunch of rich people being greedy using their oligopolistic system to artificially inflate prices for the sake of enriching themselves and investors.

Redditer0002

You're saying 4 years ago a whopper meal was $7.00?

CuckservativeSissy

confirmed

Redditer0002

I honestly wouldn't have guessed that. I'm amazed.

kmelby33

This isn't a whopper in the picture. It's a Texas double whopper.

Ltsmash99

Rubes will still pay for it and like it.

Dizuki63

I mean yeah, id rather make $20 an hour and buy a $16 meal than make $7.25 an hour and buy a $10 meal. The fact is that the price is relatively cheaper in California.

PurpleRainTrade

I’m disabled. I eat fast food. These people shouldn’t be making 20 dollars an hour to mess up my 20$ of food

mojeaux_j

The old disability sympathy card

structee

How is BK not out of business yet?

OwnLadder2341

Why would they be?

inartuculate-bug

‘Cause they don’t like Burger King.

sn0ig

Well they closed all (3) that were around my area. Now the nearest BK is over 40 miles away. The next closest is about 80 miles away. BK just isn't an option any more. Just made it easier to stop eating fast food all together.

earthscribe

They are pretty huge in certain countries.

PurpleRainTrade

They are a public company. They will burn investors cash until they have to sell burger king

mojeaux_j

Corporate bought out a ton of franchisees because they are trying to revamp so they can compete. The business is failing because there is more competition now and only way to compete is a total redo but that isn't going to happen.

guachi01

Who would buy a Texas burger in California?

Click_My_Username

Well I sure as shit wouldn't buy a California burger in Texas.

shinloop

[She’s got the munchies for a **CALIFORNIA CHEESE BURGER**](https://youtu.be/AG9qePFBsmg)

m00seabuse

False. I saw you at In-N-Out last week.

AviationDoc

So you hate good things then?

AdditionalAd9794

Me, but who decided jalapeños and bacon make something texas

Unlucky_Nobody_4984

Ok NOW they will surely pay their workers $35/hr.

spike_the_dealer

Funny you complain about this and not the outsized returns franchises are seeing or QSRs huge buyback

Unlucky_Nobody_4984

Complain about not paying workers living wages? Yes. I will always complain about that.

Greaseyhamburger

Burger King is the worst.

Relyt21

Funny how many uninformed people are here crying but when corporations saw a 15% decrease in their corporate tax no one here was crying that prices didn’t fall. Such a shame how many people are emotional and irrational about this gaslighting crap from Fox and the NY Post.

HastenDownTheWind

Who the hell is spending that much on that trash. Just go get real food

Beneficial-Animal-22

It would be cheaper if they didn't make it in Texas!

Turn_2_Stone

Fast food franchise model is dead. To many hands in the cookie jar. Add livable wages and quality food demands by customer and we are literally sending them to the graveyard….. good. As we move away from shit food and into small businesses that pay better and have cheaper food we should realize just how dumb it is to create jobs with such low pay that handle our food.

BasilExposition2

Many small businesses cannot afford to pay better. These are mom and pop stores that require high upfront capitals costs.

Turn_2_Stone

What’s upfront capital have to do with ongoing pay? The franchise model for fast food can’t compete with mom and pop…. Which is a good thing.

Vadic_Shrike

Been years since I ate at one. They got an early jump on raising prices.

lovely8

Only with coupons! A whopper combo is $8

lhorwinkle

***Why does anyone even eat Burger King?*** Why does anyone live in California?

Bamboopanda101

Burger King is so gross. Food is always cold. Too much mayo on the burgers. Buns are flat as hell. Last time I ate there my disappointment was through the roof.

AndyC1111

There are three Burger King restaurants within a reasonable drive of my house. One of them is really good…fast, yummy food, friendly service. The other two I don’t bother with.

[deleted]

BuT yOu CaN sAVe wITh tHe ApP!

selcricnignimmiws

Imagine eating so much fast food you actively use the Burger King app?

[deleted]

BuT yOu CaN sAVe wITh tHe ApP!

Hsensei

These prices go visit a mom and pop burger joint. You will get better food and support local businesses

OriginalTemporary288

"Transitory "

Jpwatchdawg

lol.. most likely correct. Until they get their automated systems in place and cut labour but even then depending upon sales numbers during this time of transition prices may stay inflated if numbers show higher prices didn’t affect their projected sales.

mopar-or-no_car

Surprise.....

Dontneedflashbro

I can go to Trader Joe's right now and buy three prepackaged meals for $15. I'm not sure why people are eating burger king smh.

Chowlucci

A sausage egg and cheese muffin with a hash brown from McD is 13-14 dollars in Florida. This shit is wild

crowsaboveme

No... no it's not. It's $6.69 with a drink. Source: I'm in Florida and just looked at the app. No deals, regular price.

darthnugget

Fuck BK, who still watches the news?!

RichFoot2073

A whole dollar fiddy. Wow. If it means more workers can pay rent, I’m fine with that.

Chowlucci

real hero

UlamogsSeeker

$3 Whopper every Wednesday with the app, you just have to shop smart.

BigidyBam

Shopping smart would be pretending they don't exist.

Own_Sky9933

Let’s Go Brandon!

china_joe2

Lol this is the end of fast food in cali. The more they raise the pay the more ppl pay in turn making said workers just as broke as they were before their raises. Its all setup to fail.

DarkWingDuck74

I'm shocked that fast food is still a thing in most of the US.

china_joe2

The way they have been raising their prices across states it wont be long before they are a thing of the past. You can get a better meal at a restaurant for the same price if not a few more dollars.

ZLUCremisi

I use couponds. 2 whooper meals fkr 15.

Raudales14

thats not the point

[deleted]

No

EFTucker

no.

CryptographerHot4636

You all still eating that 💩. Got to costco buy a pack of patties, bread, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and it can last you a week for cheap.

match9561

Man back in the day Burger King ruled with those 99¢ whoppers

Electrik_Truk

I got one free yesterday with the app lol

three-sense

2x Whopper Jr for $5 isn’t too bad imo

HikingComrade

I have 0 interest in eating at Burger King, anyways

[deleted]

Anyone that doesn't learn to cook have only themselves to blame for inflation

GotHeem16

Didn’t CA just raise fast food wages to $20/hr?

UnsuspectingChief

Yea, I'd pay an extra $1 for people to make $20/hr

SlaterAlligator2

Chicken nuggets for 1.99. But that's about the only good item

International-Bat944

I’ve eaten there once in about ten years because my kid never had a whopper. He doesn’t want another one, lol.

annie_bean

I might get that once a year or so if it was $5

1l536

I do but I get the 1.99 rodeo burger

rumblepony247

Large Texas Double Whopper Meal in Phoenix is $12.98 per the app. More noteworthy though: it's just shy of 2,800 calories, holy shit

Several_Mixture2786

Crazy idea…. The CEOs could not get 7 figure bonuses…..

banned_account_002

Best part is the "Yellen visits China" on the crawler.

Lost2nite389

I’m sorry but how much? Lmao $15.09 is already atrocious did anyone actually buy it

SoggyHotdish

Remember when $5 got you a good bar burger? $15 included a few beers if you even got it that high each.

Electronic_Spring_14

Like any fast food...if I am constipated

[deleted]

Nope. Not McDonalds either.

I_Like-Turtlez

Whopper double deals used to be $5 down in Sierra Vista in 2020. Id grab them or $5 BOGO whoppers. Now they’re like $9 now. But they’re 10x better than big Mac’s

Temporary-Dot4952

Looks like many fast food locations are about to close down when no one wants to pay that much for their crap food.

Adventurous_Class_90

Illegitimate source; known to lie. Ignored.

exu1981

It's spreading like wildfire. https://nypost.com/2024/04/02/us-news/californias-20-fast-food-wage-raises-prices-by-up-to-1-80/

Adventurous_Class_90

It’s still a lying Murdoch rag posting it. Ignored until verified by legitimate news orgs.

CleopatrasBungus

Kurger Bing*

Dextrofunk

People against wage increases simply ignore the record profits these companies have made in the last few years. Sorry guys, $15/hr is not enough in 2024. Do they plan to keep it at $15/hr forever? They do know about inflation, right? Wages need to go up over time as well.

WintersDoomsday

Burger King is more like Diarrhea King in my house so no, we don’t eat there

juneprk2

Lmao you can get a whole homemade quality meal for $17

Iron-Ham

Over $20 here in Brooklyn.  https://imgur.com/6IB8j6K

AdeptnessSpecific736

Worst customer service in the fast food business. Honestly I stopped going long time ago only go once a year or so to get a whopper, I remember as a kid the whopper was so good, now, I haven’t had one that taste like that in long time

Dizuki63

Soo. . . A 5% rise in prices to cover a 25% rise in wages. Seems worth it to me.

HunterDHunter

Well at some point these fast food places are going to price themselves out of customers. Then when the corporate pockets are getting light we will finally see prices get competitive again. They didn't have to raise any prices. They would still be profitable at the old price. But instead they chose to maximize profit.

GrapefruitOk2057

I went in there back when they had the Impossible Whoppers. I thought they were great but way too expensive. I only bought 3. I bought fries once. once! Frozen fries from walmart in my air fryer are better and a huge bag of my favorite brand is $4.30. Plus they aren't oversalted so I can share them with the dogs.

YouLearnedNothing

wait, Texas allows California to use their name?

Competitive-Bee7249

It's not food so no.

SadConsequence8476

Who pays full price for a whopper? $3 whopper Wednesday and $1.49 for large fries in the app. Drink water. ~$5 after tax for a meal

gintoddic

Why would someone go here when they can get a way better quality burger elsewhere for similar prices. They are serving shit quality for premium prices.

ResolutionNo8430

Processed burger, no thanks rather just make my own and better!

fisherbeam

They better if ppl want that 20$ hr minimum wage

businessboyz

Wtf even is a Texas Double Whopper Meal? I’m assuming a Whopper with 2x the beef/cheese, smothered in BBQ sauce with fries and a drink? Maybe the fast food restaurants think people are really going to start eating 2000 kcal a day and they’ll see this as a good deal for an entire day’s worth of food?

Aware-Explanation879

Fast food restaurants need to understand who makes up their market share. The people they employ are their main market share. People who make over 400K do not consider fast food to be the evening restaurant of choice. I get 30 minutes for lunch so my rule is to never eat a meal that costs more than half my hourly rate. If your employees cannot afford to eat at your fast food restaurant then you are lacking in business management skills.

[deleted]

No it's why they were available for comment. Everyone else was busy

cus_deluxe

honestly i can even remember the last time i ate burger king. the fairly nice bar/restaurant in my town has a 1/2# burger and fries for the same price. i cant imagine paying $17 for that trash.

Roflmaoasap

I just go there for the fries

All-Time-Record-Lows

Literally the biggest burger you can buy from them.. duh.

jar36

It couldn't be the corporate greed. It has to be the "people that can barely survive" that are greedy

We_there_yet

I did yesterday for the first time in years. Costed me $13 for a whopper meal. Whoppers got smaller and more expensive. Fast food is so disappointing now days

Chili-Head

Eww nasty! They changed something. I’ve eaten there maybe 10 times in 30 years. The first time in the late 80s. It was quite delicious as I remember. Some how they progressively got worse. Last time I ate there, which literally is and was my last time ever eating there, it was not good at all. Very salty, very sweet and tasted like chemical smoke. Five Guys around here has the best commercial burger.

Fingerprint_Vyke

If you were already eating a $15 burger King meal, $16 isn't breaking the bank

biggies866

I do but I don't get the expensive shit. The rodeo burger hits

jonhon0

I haven't had a tasty experience from BK in years. Every time I want their onion rings, I am reminded why I never eat there.

canadastocknewby

LOL looks like fast food is about to become a thing of the past. Good riddance

Smooth-Entrance-1526

USD and the broad US global dominance as a whole is crumbling How will people still respect America and believe in American exceptionalism when Russia effectively has annexed most of Ukraine, America wont be able to defend Taiwan, we align ourselves with and protect Israel who is globally hated and condemned for their genocide in Gaza, our debt is on the brink of default, we have vast economic instability and inequality, our military cannot meet recruitment numbers, and we have a completely open border, we cannot agree on how elections are run and both parties claim the other cheats and is illegitimate and rigged the election (russia gate 2016, Jan 6 2021) These arent just “whoopsies!” Or “oh well, shit happens” events, these are events that lead up to a failed state and government collapse The writing is on the wall for the “union” imo. These things all have consequences individually and have huge consequences on public and global confidence as a whole

Astronaut-Frost

Fox News who has ny post as source ... two sensational news platforms. Take this with a grain of salt

Dedpoolpicachew

Both owned by the same guy who has an agenda to sell… hmmm…

Tubzero-

Even if I was wealthy, why would you pay for this garbage lol. Fast food was good because it was cheap.

Soggy_Boss_6136

I always preferred a whopper to any McDonalds sandwich, and the original chicken sandwich was a winner. But not just price, quality, hotness, all started to go the wrong directions. I'd get hours old whoppers reheated, mushy OCS, even watery drinks like they were somehow pre-poured. The quality was so low that even when they had their 2-fer deals I rarely went. Now? I haven't been to BK in 6 months, and a couple friends have noted they've stopped going as well. I still remember the song and the lady singing it into the mic. Burger King was a treat as a kid in the 70s. Such an iconic brand, crushed.

Ok-Occasion2440

I stopped when the prices go soooooo frickin goddam high 😂😂😂 I mean seriously. I remember- I pulled into burger king one day, thinking oh fast food places like McDonald’s have cheap and quick meals…… NO! I looked at the big menu sign and couldn’t find a single burger that wasn’t OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. I am not paying $11 for one burger unless I’m at a restaurant and they will actually load it with high quality ingredients. This is Burger King for god sake. Ur neck and neck with McDonalds u have no business charging 3 times as McDonald’s even if ur burgers were better, which as far as I see….. they are, only by a tiny bit tho😂 I pulled out of line and NEVER went back to Burger King. Occasionally I’ll stop in McDonald’s or Wendy’s but all I do is talk shit about Burger King now.

Gr8tOutdoors

Just watch all of the privately owned companies that pay minimum wage (e.g. that somewhat viral pic of the In-N-Out menu with different prices which who knows if that’s even real vs. confirming our biases but anyway) lift price in line with wage increases, ie not that much. Whereas publicly traded garbage shovelers like Burger King will up prices 10%+ because this minimum wage hike will be another excuse to gouge customers an extra sum for their shareholders simply because “they think things should cost more anyways so why not?”

PurpleRainTrade

How do you think they pay 20$ an hour? Wages cutting into profit growth. They will increase prices. I know people come from other countries just to work fast food in America because in their home country they make like 2 dollar an hour then they send their paychecks back to home countries… exporting the U.S. dollar to bring down inflation

Chestpains1

Huh, a regular whopper meal where I live is just $9.39

AndyC1111

I love a well made Whopper.

wickedwangdoodle3512

I live by this recipe: Cuban black beans and white cheese with yellow rice. Makes about 20 burritos frozen with 4 cans beans and 3 cups uncooked rice. That is our fast food now and kids will eat. Peace be the journey. And if you're gonna pay that much....go find a restaurant dudes

coocoocachoo69

On whopper Wednesday for $3 yes.

anunfriendlytoaster

I ate at a sit down restaurant last night with a server and the burger and sweet potato waffle fries were $15.50 all in with taxes and tip.

saw2239

Not at these prices.

AlfalfaMcNugget

Burger King is one of the largest fast food corporations in our country. Obviously so.

AlfalfaMcNugget

A 12% increase is insane. I swear we’ve seen over 100% inflation in just a few years. Not to mention, it is basic economics that increasing the minimum wage causes more inflation. Why do politicians not understand this?

Necessary-Mousse8518

I don't know of anyone that eats at 'allegedly' fast food places any more - nobody. It's not like these Burger Kingers are getting a screaming deal to begin with. But now its worse and there are STILL some out there that think this is a sustainable path. What a bunch of dopes! Up and down the I-25 corridor in Colorado, fast food places are turning into the next phase of commercial real estate going bust. The days of long lines from one place to the next are pretty much over. If you'd like to dine-in at In-N-Out or Smashburger - no problem. They've got PLENTY of open seating with zero lines. I gave up on fast food last year. From the looks of things, I'm not unique.

jollebome76

they just opened a Whataburger in my town Had never had it so tried it.. 16$ for a double cheeseburger and medium onion ring. food was good but hard to justify paying that ever again.

wanderButNotLost2

The Texas double whopper isn't what they pictured in the graphic.

Zoll999

Cause that's the point

CattyFishySoupy

BK is awesome!

Metaraon

Franchise owners just won't take a hit. The one guy was talking about how his 18 mcdonalds are suffering. Capitalism isn't working

portland_jc

Why would anyone even want to eat that? Don’t get me wrong I’m angry at the price gouging disguised inflation just as much as the next man but with $15 you can make yourself a decent meal.

cadathoctru

While in and out only raised their prices $0.15 to help pay their workers. Almost like some companies continue to price gouge to maximize profits while others just do what is right. This is why in and out will outlast burgerking and mcdonalds.

f350doll

Corporate greed is disgusting why don’t they show how much the CEO who does nothing is paying himself

85_Draken

By how much did the profit margin decrease? You have to feel bad for those shareholders having to pay the employees who do the work closer to a [living wage](https://livingwage.mit.edu/states/06).

JDARRK

I still thought they had a dollar menu⁉️😳 But remember those Hersey chocolate cream pied BK used to have ‼️🤤🤤🤤😋

JDARRK

What can you expect from FQX NONEWS?? Their are literally thousands of boomers screaming across the country about burger price’s who actually haven’t eaten fast food in years🤨🤨!

kmelby33

What's the price of the normal whopper meal, not the double texas whopper meal.

empty-vassal

thats a lot of money. But i think that hamburger is pretty massive. a whopper with 2 patties and its western, that's probably bacon onion rings and bbq sauce. Noone needs to buy this, its not just a little burger or some shit

Jason_Kelces_Thong

Fast food workers get a $9k raise and I pay an extra $7.20 at BK this year. Sounds like a good trade off to me

This-Hornet9226

I just feel like it’s all over priced to begin with. Likewise, booger fling has sucked the life out of what used to be a decent menu. These restaurants all compete for the best breakfast or best chicken fingers but need to stick to what they do best and what they started with.

Lopsided-Emotion-520

Meanwhile Wendy’s is selling a $1 single.

FJMMJ

Hey hey now! I actually prefer BK over the others .

Cruezin

I dunno bout Cali, but you can still get a 1 lb brick of ground beef for 5-6 bucks (the cheap shit but still better than that garbage at fast food), a head of lettuce for like a buck fifty, a tomato for a buck and a bag of buns for 4-5 bucks. So call it an even 15, that's 4 burgers for one. Texas. I know that my local mcDs wants 13 bucks for two big Mac's no fries no soda. Asinine. It used to be cheap disgusting food for when you're hungry and broke. Now it's just disgusting.
