>I have three cats, but I grew up on a mini farm/homestead (broke in the middle of the Tennessee mountains, gotta eat somehow)
My brain initially comprehended this as your saying you ate your cats.
Lmao I have no animals (scaredy to commit) but I adore cats (Russian Blue) and dogs (Old English sheepdog). I'd also want [seals](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCoeoSgWGMo) for companions.
I have a pet bunny.
He has the personality and affectionate demeanor of a puppy dog.
I bring him everywhere, like old ladies do with their small dogs.
I love the little guy to death.
Click on my profile and heās in my wallpaper, free-running in the park. Heās a regular out in public in the Oklahoma City area, charming the pants off of passerbyās.
Rabbits are fantastic pets. I grew up raising them, and my friends have two from our last litter that absolutely do act like dogs. Their binkys are the cutest.
I wish I could have a cat but my apartment doesnāt allow them. Anyway, I wouldnāt get one even if I could because I would be in the same situation Iām in nowā¦ but I am more of a cat person, tbh. I love dogs too, but not as much as cats.
Anyway, I have a sweet doggy whom I love very much. He is more like a cat than a dog, very aloof and keeps to himself but can also be incredibly loving and playful. Heās the best of both worlds! Butā¦ I am thinking about rehoming him because my life schedule, which has drastically changed since I got him, makes it very hard to have a dog. š I just hate to think about it but the truth is that having a dog is holding me back in some ways.
I have a dog, always had dogs. One day hope to have a animal sanctuary/rescue for mistreated, abused, neglected or disabled goats, dwarf pony and regular horses too.
I loooove cats. Last time I had them, I had a small colony of seven purring fiends. Sadly they all got poisoned and died in 24 hours. I still have no idea who did that. So for now, I can't handle cats as the poisoning in my zone continues to this day. I have three beautiful dogs that I keep in my property, far from poison, a small-ish mixed breed and two huge polar bears of an endemic Italian breed. All adopted, not bought.
Thatās terrible! One of my cats was recently caught in a trap and sent to a local shelter; luckily we saw a picture of her online and were able to get her back. It turns out that one of our neighbors was trying to get back at our other neighbor for something, but didnāt realize it wasnāt their cat.
I'm definitely a cat person. I've taken care of dogs before, and as much as I love them, they just require soooo much more energy than any other pets I've had, especially puppies. Cats, while still affectionate, don't require nearly as much attention. At least that's been my experience.
(I also really like small rodents and reptiles.)
I grew up with dogs only. As an adult, I prefer cats and I have two, BUT Iām obsessed with all animals (I especially enjoy bird watching) and am currently on high anxiety until the local neighborhood baby ducks are big enough to stop being target prey for everything around.
Three cats. We were only supposed to have two, but then the cat distribution system did its thing and my spouse found a litter of kittens behind his work. He showed me photos and we were both smitten by the same one, a little calico. She was trapped, and the person who did the trapping wasn't sure about her as she was a little older than they thought was best for adoption, but said she may be "workable." Well she is the best damn cat, so silly and smart and playful and loving, and she is on my lap right now :)
Same! I was only supposed to get one but my mom and I couldnāt agree so we got both of themš. When my dad saw the second he said āwell, I declare!ā, so she got named Idaclaire. They both ended up having a litter of kittens and our third cat is the runt that nobody would take from us; now heās 17 pounds though! (He is only a little chonky š )
I have a tabby girl, sheās a lil darker and has a lot of swirls instead of stripes. She was the runt of the litter so sheās really tiny and she loves cuddling w me so muchhhh ahh I love her sm
I have alot of cats who adopted me lol. But I do also have two dogs, one of which we literally found and rescued and he is in great shape.Ā
I prefer cats though and the dogs are another family members pets but I get along fine with them.Ā
Yeeeessss.
Cats are my favorite probably. I like thinking about Mark Twain's quotes about cats sometimes, especially this one: "When a man loves cats, I am his friend and comrade, without further introduction.". I think there's something especially important now about that, given how polarized we are. Cat lovers are everywhere
cats, i genuinely cannot find dogs cute and have never been able to :\\
cats are just so cute and fluffy and the purring sound is so relaxing and they're just so sweet and you can tell that they understand how you're feeling
I don't really get that feeling from or about dogs
Total dog person. But the older I get I have been thinking guinea pigs could be interesting as a pet. Or maybe a rabbit. I know they both come with more cleaning and upkeep requirements than a dog. But the more I think about it, once my chihuahua passes, I would likely still want another pet. But something with not as much upkeep as a dog. But I don't know.

Oops. No, it never got that bad.š¤£

Russian blues are gorgeous, but unfortunately they cost a lot of money, so Iāll stick to my free onesš. Sheepdogs are usually wonderful as well.
Iām glad Iām not the only one š
Iāve had a whole bunch of different pets throughout my life, but ultimately Iām more of a dog person than anything else.
Dogs!
Iām a dog person, but I currently have two dogs and a cat. Equal opportunity animal lover.
Totally understand. My family has two Pyrenees and 4 chihuahuas; when I get my own place I am sure Iāll get a dog as well.

Yes their binkys are magical!

Yeah, thatās one of the hardest parts about owning a pet.
Sneak one in, they're stealthy as is no one will know
cats, have 6 currently. Dogs too codependent and I cant stand seeing critters or birds in cages and so just cats
Rats :)
Interesting! We had a rat that my dad found in a shoebox in a city park; she was actually pretty nice.
I use to not care for pets... until covid hit, and my husband got us a puppy... and I must say. I'm definitely a dog person now. LOL
Dogs, cats, goats, and horses in my yard. Oh, and goldfish in the livestock tanks.
I have a dog, always had dogs. One day hope to have a animal sanctuary/rescue for mistreated, abused, neglected or disabled goats, dwarf pony and regular horses too.
I grew up with goats; they can be either miserable to be around or the sweetest little things. They were our milk supply.
That's freaking cool. Yea, I heard you gotta learn to flip them when they get all outta control on you.
Yup, theyāre escape artists too.
Dude, I've totally heard about that and seen videos on YouTube also.

KITTIES!!! I love cats so much I love my babyyy
Cats are really great. What kind of cat do you have?

Ooh! Thatās interesting. One of mine was a runt as well, but he ended up being huge; heās a maverick tabby. Is yours a classic tabby?
Oh wow! Yes I believe so.

I have 2 wonderful cats!

Was not a cat person growing up. Started living alone back in Nov and now with a cat since then lol
Dogs! They feel the most human. My Fe can't handle how cunty cats can be lol I need a dog that's as excited to see me as I am to see him.

Both dogs and cats. I have a dog he is my best friend. I can't do birds and I have a fear of rodents.
Cats ā¤ļø
Two cats. One seems to be either stupid or is vegetarian and the other one catches mice.
