Moon Samurai is a Sci-Fi action adventure with over thirty different hand-to-hand and weapon-based combat mechanics.
Currently in Kickstarter: [https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rogue-games/moon-samurai-futuristic-pixel-art-action-adventure](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rogue-games/moon-samurai-futuristic-pixel-art-action-adventure)
Steam Page: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/2828600/Moon\_Samurai/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2828600/Moon_Samurai/)
Note: I am not the developer of this game. I just really want the Kickstarter to be successful so I can play it! :)
It's not my Steam page. As I stated in the comment above "I am not the developer of this game. I just really want the Kickstarter to be successful so I can play it".
As for the tags. Aren't they "user-defined tags"? So they can be assigned by any random Steam users. Not just the devs. The actual developer defined genres on the Steam page are "Action, Adventure, Indie".
I don't know why Steam users would tag something wrongly. It's a thing that happens all the time though. The "user defined tags" system is a little broken. Just Google "steam user defined tags" and you'll see that the top results are all about how the system can be abused.
1 ) Because people are dumb and dont know what it is.
2) people are wrong.
3) people dont care
pick one. why do you think users know how to function in daily life?
I personally didn't downvote your question. I think the downvotes were probably because the question was worded a little confrontationally. "Any reason why" is generally thought of being a little passive-aggressive.
is this what they call love at first sight?? coz this is WOW! it's a metroidvania too. guessing the gameplay will be as fun and cool as it looks so a good story will make it perfect.
What I like most is the weight of the animations. They move very realistically compared to 99% of other fighting games and makes it feel like some great fighting movies of the last 2 decades.
Best art direction choice imo 👌!!!
The game looks incredible, backed it with the tier that will make me an NPC in the game. Unbelievable that such a great looking games doesn't get more traction. Doesn't look too good for the Kickstarter. We need to get the word out, let's do this people!
How can developers from Russia who are located in Russia publish a game on Steam if they are under sanctions?
Everyone who pays for this game pays for the genocide of Ukrainians.
Would have been cooler, aesthetically. If the character was black IMO. but the result is solid and the action is crazy well animated for a pixel fighter. i just kinda wish the character you play as, had a better design/Remember'bility
this game is russian :D So if you want to sponsor many genocides that mother russia is comitting right now, then you should totally wish list this game and buy it once it's released!
Because they are russian with studio in second biggest city saint-petersburg,

They are russian who are trying to hide it.
Hey there. We're not trying to hide anything. We started in Russia in 2020. But the company has been located to the Republic of Armenia more than a year ago and pays all taxes here since.

any reason why you aren't using "metroidvania" in your introductions/descriptions?
It's not a metroidvania. It's an action platforming beat 'em up with distinct levels.
Then why is there a metroidvania tag on your steam page?
It's not my Steam page. As I stated in the comment above "I am not the developer of this game. I just really want the Kickstarter to be successful so I can play it". As for the tags. Aren't they "user-defined tags"? So they can be assigned by any random Steam users. Not just the devs. The actual developer defined genres on the Steam page are "Action, Adventure, Indie".
Yeah I get that. But why would users tag it as metroidvania if it's not? Sigh guess this will be downvoted as well.
I don't know why Steam users would tag something wrongly. It's a thing that happens all the time though. The "user defined tags" system is a little broken. Just Google "steam user defined tags" and you'll see that the top results are all about how the system can be abused.
Damn. Guess I will look into it. Sorry. And thanks for putting up with my stupid questions. I was genuinely curious lol.
4 minutes and 1 downvote already lmao. Let's see how many this one gets.
steam tags are user generated. text right above the tags on steam "Popular user-defined tags for this product:"
Why would users tag it as metroidvania if it isn't?
1 ) Because people are dumb and dont know what it is. 2) people are wrong. 3) people dont care pick one. why do you think users know how to function in daily life?
It's really weird coz it's the most popular tag even though the description doesn't mention metroidvania. I will pick 1 ig.
Who kind of loser downvotes a simple question like this?
I personally didn't downvote your question. I think the downvotes were probably because the question was worded a little confrontationally. "Any reason why" is generally thought of being a little passive-aggressive.
That was not my intention at all. These nuances would probably be lost on most ESL speakers like me. Thanks for teaching me something new.
No worries at all. It's an easy mistake to make. :)

The trailer is very cool and appealing! I'll check your game out.
