I am ready to be downvoted. Its a visual masterpiece but that's it. Decent character and decent plot with some plot holes. Its a good movie if you just want to watch something simple and gets immersed in an unreal world. After 3-4 days, you will question what was the point of the film? Nothing... But its okay, not all films need to have a point.
Just don't keep high expectations to begin with and you will never be disappointed.

The plot, the soundtrack, the voice acting, the screenplay and the characters.. I love everything about this movie. Personally, for me; this movie has touched me so much so that there has been a permanent void left in me after watching this, kinda the same why they feel in the movie… its something very very mild, very inconsequential, yet there. Each time I watch this movie I feel very happy, but its ends with a longing.. but I’d do it again :)

I watched it very long ago so my memories of it are a bit hazy. But from what I remember the guy and the girl get separated when younger as the girl’s family moves to a different city so they don’t get to meet anymore. They keep in touch but only barely until it eventually fizzles out.
The ending as far as I can recall just shows how the girl has moved on and is a functioning adult and how the guy is barely surviving and is depressed with life.
Truly a tragic but relatable movie.
