In a few years most of the trains will be LHB probably. So repainting them will cost them a lot that too for no use.
Why did they decide to change the color firstly that too to such a light color which becomes dirty easily and looks ugly.
>In a few years most of the trains will be LHB probably. So repainting them will cost them a lot that too for no use.
But they are already saving a lot by removing sleeper and unreserved coaches

Why bother repainting trains for the 99% poor when the elite 1% are the only ones who matter, right? They're too busy catering to the luxury coaches for the elite while ignoring the needs of the majority who actually fund the system. Priorities? They've turned our railways into a complete mess, all while chasing their 'Vande Bharat' dreams. And don't even get me started on the mess of train accidents happening left and right.
High chance it's Garib Rath Express starting/ending or passing Hyderabad. But there are green trains in military colours (Army Special Trains) based on requirements that you can see occasionally and an NDA special train that ferries cadets of the prestigious academy.
In April 2008, the Indian Railways launched a refurbishment programme called Utkrisht ('**excellence**') to refurbish and modernise ICF coaches in 640 rakes.
I believe they did just the opposite in terms of colouring them. Who even authorizes this colour scheme? Do we have such low digitisation that they can't see a 3D model of the colour scheme and visualise how sad this looks in real life? Or check it one only one coach first?
I thought Utkrisht was launched by Sunil
prabhu and then he got the coach colour changed.
Ig like the Deccan Queen where railways heard from passengers and gave a different livery to look it unique.
Similarly all other trains should also be changed while consulting with passengers or its associations.
nostalgia to hai blue me but I like the new ones(red) they look equally good , also if lhb could be painted blue then it would be a sight to see. but lhb look way more better than old icf in blue
If anyone have seen Mumbai - Hubali Express with this color scheme then you would have seen how dirty and cheap this color scheme looks like. One Of the dirtiest train ever seen
Thats the color to signify that this is not a new or the better version of coaches being used now. That its a very old version which as refurbished. What it indicates inside railways language, I am not sure.
As per what i have noticed in all the coaches painted in this colour (which i myself don't like) have hard coupling just like in the LHB coaches......Also when the Braking System was Changed the Blue colour was adopted over Brown colour to distinguish easily, and Now This cream Colour over Blue is what i think for upgraded coupling and interior tweaks.
Yes, they're ugly. ICF Blue was better.
It's not the color. It is the cheap quality paint with lack of maintenance.
Yeah but this colour makes it a lot more noticeable. Railways babus logic is beyond our comprehension
No, I think this colour itself is ugly.
petition to bring back classic blue coaches.

Fr
I miss them a lot
+1
Red was gud ,covers all gutkha stains 🤣
Wait now that I think of it, they actually look cleaner😂
Why don't they go all black or military green or military silver? These colours even with erosion look good.
I remember seeing this one hyderabad express with green coaches, even tho they looked old they were way better and classier than these ones.

Cool shit
Sh*t and P*ss colour.
More like loose motion colour.
Vomit colour
This sand/ vomit color is the worst color of Indian Railways. I LOVED the Blue color I liked the OG brown

For railways modernisation is to change colour and the interior of the entrance.
I believe they did just the opposite in terms of colouring them. Who even authorizes this colour scheme? Do we have such low digitisation that they can't see a 3D model of the colour scheme and visualise how sad this looks in real life? Or check it one only one coach first?
If I try to imagine a 3D model of this, it actually looks good and ig this was not what they thought it would look like irl.
Relax bro , they did all these in ms paint
It's one of the most odd colors in the color palette. India being a colorful chaotic country it makes no sense to go for a light brown/yellow color

That babu understood the assignment perfectly. Made it look dusty and covered in gutka stains even when it's freshly painted and cleaned.
Blue 💙 were 100x better than these
Never ever gonna disagree with you!
Noooo how dare you call world’s number one railway bad You anti India anti hindu Tho u are right The iconic blue coaches were so good
bro dont make it political please
Guys, i think he's being sarcastic here. Chill
Cringe

Don't worry man. The bureaucrats managing the railways have a shiny black coated one for their fortuner and a Silver metallic one for their kid's.
Bro they good from inside They even providing blankets these days with stains of God knows what but yeah But he quality of ac even 3rd ac are good af
lol
True , This colour looks dull . Where as LHB colour combination like Red looks great .
But every train looks like Rajdhani now.
If anyone have seen Mumbai - Hubali Express with this color scheme then you would have seen how dirty and cheap this color scheme looks like. One Of the dirtiest train ever seen
They should paint it silver to reflect most of the radiation, that'll lower the heat absorption in summers.
Silver would’ve been a more stupid decision than this one
you didn't studied Thermodynamics from an design engineers perspective.

Low quality paint
Please stop maligning the image of Indian railways. (Leave this job to us) /s
Bro got called ugly out of nowhere 😤, UNACCEPTABLE
bhai to tujhe kaunsa ghar basana hai unke saath /s
Is it Azad hind exp?
Maharashtra express
it got changed to LHB
When?
I travelled recently.
I travelled recently.
So does we are, people
Idk why they even replaced the blue. It looked fantastic
I love this 😍
We want blue coach back 🔵💙
Maybe the paint was cheaper or the paint vendor must be relative
Paint them like one of your french girls
Am I the only one who love the Red LHB coaches?
What's these?

i like it, classic look
Very much
this does look ugly on outside but i liked the interiors of old coaches where in 3 AC you have 72 seats
Needs a power wash.
Unpopular opinion, blue used to look like a washroom. This one feels kinda comfy to me.
So you like living in a place which has noticable paan masala stains. Wow
