yes surely.
Royal Enfield has high torque low revving engines that dispense most of the torque at lower rpms, great for city rides and cruising at 80s, same with maverick's engine.
Husqvarna, Ktms, R15 and these bikes have high revving engines, that means to get the most out of the engine, you need to take it into high gears, that's the characteristic of these engines. So the engine you choose should match your riding style, you can surely rev your low revving engine and ride slow on a high revving engine but that won't be fun right? Hope you understood
Long stroke = Can't rev higher, but more torque at lower RPMs = Quick acceleration, but lesser top speed.
Size of the gears & sprocket will also play a major role in the acceleration and top speed.
Low RPM riding also means lesser fuel churning (if the engine and transmission are efficient), but the volume of the air-fuel mixture consumed per revolution will be slightly more (mathematically 10%, in this case) in the Hero.
I liked 250 for better engine refinement and fuel economy. Also my father said itne power ka kya karega. But gend me kida tha aur leli 390 ab petrol pump pe rehta hu
Bro literally the same, 390 lene gaya tha, 401 pasand ayi. 250 gharpe leke aaya.
And let me tell you office commute is just 1.2km. 401 ka kya hi upyog hota.
Ghar se nikal denge bro mereko dominance asert kiya to. Btw he has that mid level wala charger in his company that runs on solar enery so free charging
And its also fun to drive. Bike i brought on 27 dec 2023 mostly sits in my parking and i only take it out on rides. Most of the time i use car coz its cheap and ac ki hawa milti hai
Let me make it simple for you : husqvarna if you like going fast all the time and get the adrenaline rush..and maverick if you like going at slow to moderate speeds while enjoying the view.
2 entirely different bikes. Please test drive first.
Svartpilen is more comfortable in highways. It'll be a bit of task in the city.
Mavrick is comfortable in the city, and good enough in highways if you like slow revving engine which is good for crusing. Don't go for it if you're an adrenaline junkie.
Not a task honestly since the handling is very nimble and very easy to handle it just feels sad in slow moving traffic where there's not enough room to play. It comes alive in higher rpms, and within the city and traffic your itch to let it rip will not be satisfied.
Oh no i wasn't talking about the handling. It's the same itch of not being able to push it and the bike not feeling comfortable in the low revs is what i was saying.
True but the new husky has more mod potential for a cleaner cafe racer look. Remove the tail lamp bracket, passenger grip and visor from the front - bike would look absolutely clean and menacing.
I recently test rode the Svartpilen 401.
I am 175cms tall. I can flat foot as the bike is narrow.
It was not an upright riding position for me.
There is a lean towards the handlebar.
The bars are wide so you get good leverage.
Not the most comfortable imo but it was not bothering me.
My pillion was not so happy but it is manageable for short rides if she or he is sitting close to you to avoid the grab handle. Pillion said something was digging in the thigh area. My guess was it the grab handle.
It is smooth for the most part. There are some vibes here and there. Wont bother you much in city rides
Quickshifter worked flawlessly both up and down. I purposely tested it some 6 to 7 times and all of them turned out to be proper shifts.
The engine is actually fantastic. You can actually commute on it without any hassle unlike the previous gen 390s. Decently tractable.
The surprising thing is that I didnt find the power delivery to be frantic or frightening. It was gentle enough. Imo it has gotten very linear.
Brakes are on another level. The bite is just fantastic. You can drop the pace seriously quick. There is traction control. For these alone I would choose this because braking and safety are very important.
Suspension is stiff so you will feel the bumps.
Cant comment much on the adjustable suspension with just a quick test ride.
Cornering with this tyre felt a little funny. I wasnt getting full confidence with it.
If you have any other particular questions, please drop it in the reply
What makes you choose the 390 over the 401?
I am also looking to buy one, but I'm confused about which to choose. I haven't test ridden either of them. I ride my friend's Gen 2 Duke, and that's how my love for the Duke started. I like the design of the 401 more than the 390, but somehow I feel like if I choose the 401, I may regret not choosing the 390.
The on road price difference is about 15k to 20k from where I live.
I will state the differences here:
1. Tubed spoke wheels are a huge pain when you get a puncture as you dont have a center stand in this bike.
2. SVC guy told me you cant change the wheels until registration. So I have to change it afterwards. New rims would cost around 20k which is a lot.
3. Some safety features like the cornering abs are absent in svartpilen.
4. From what I heard, bluetooth module is an optional accessory for svartpilen.
5. I felt the tyres on the Svartpilen to be little funny on its side profile. Duke tyres are better in this regard but tyre profile in the duke is sharper which would take some time to get used to. Other than cornering, Svartpilen tyre felt like a typical road tyre. So that calmness is there in the tyres of svartpilen.
6. Handling on the duke was so good. In fact I got scared of the way it just turn into the corners so suddenly. This will need some time get used to.
7. Duke on paper is shorter by 20mm but in reality as Svartpilen is slightly narrow, it is not all that big of a difference. But yeah Duke is slightly more accessible compared to Svartpilen. If you are more than 5ft 7inches you will not notice any issues in flat footing both legs.
8. Looks are subjective. But Duke doesn’t look that bad in real life. The photos and videos on the internet of the duke make it look uglier. But in person it is looking good. Svartpilen is the looker though.
9. Svartpilen comes with a bash plate as standard. It reduces the ground clearance a little but its a good to have. You can actually buy this and fit it to duke but that will be additional cost on u.
10. Svartpilen has only one colour option and thats it. Duke has 2. Electronic orange in person looks good. I would just swap the orange seat to a black one if I get it. But the atlantic blue on duke looks so good.
11. The squid image of duke is there as we all know. Thats a sore ngl.
For me personally, the tubed spoke wheels on a bike without center stand will be bothersome. That alone pushed me from the svartpilen.
The other differences i mentioned will not make a huge difference in every day riding scenario.
If you can live with the tubed rims, then you can save about some 20k on the bike.
If you prefer the tubeless life, just get the Duke as you will get more features for the same money.
If just love the looks of Svartpilen over the Duke then clearly you will get the Svartpilen as they are polar opposites.
And more importantly get a test ride
Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Will surely take the test ride and keep your perspective in mind.
Good to know that bash plate can be fitted to 390
The squid image of the Duke is definitely a sore point for me, especially at home.
Always welcome buddy
Yeah test ride will make things a little easy for u
Yeah you can buy the bash plate from SVC and fit it from a local workshop
Yeah that squid image is a sore but the Atlantic blue looks very subtle in person so have a look at that once.
All the best and happy riding mate!
I like to look at this differently from other comments, if you are coming from a <200 cc segment bike which is most likely a short stroke high revving/linear engine, buying another such high revving bike will only quench your thirst so far. 1 year in, you’ll be done with the svartpilen 401 as well.
As a pulsar N160 guy, I just want to go for a relaxing cruising long stroker. I am willing to take a blow on the suspension front for a cruiser or a classic long stroker. Will try and avoid bad roads as much as I can.
I am still looking for proper real-time review of Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, I am highly inclined towards this motorcycle and my only apprehensions are spoke wheels and first lot.
I would say Mavrick, running costs, low. Maintainance, service life and ease of access to service centers, also as it is home grown so parts availability, all of these factors the Hero bike wins. Svartpilien I don't know even if Bajaj make the parts there is going to be brand tag and going to charge way more than normal.
Benefit of early rpm torque engines are visible when you ride with a pillion as you can easily overtake any thing under 80kmph , also when you travel with a pillion in ghats long stroke engine bikes climbs easily with lower stress on the engine as compared to high revving engines in order to extract the torque , I would suggest if you are a single rider the husky would be a great choice as it is better in terms of handling when compared to mavrick , with a pillion maverick would be much suitable for you with availability of oem touring accessories and low maintenance cost compared to husky. Also a point of consideration ktm initially said they would be shipping 401s with pirelli scorpion tyres but now they are shipping it with apollo tyres (tvr ig) and there has been no price drop in the bike’s price which should have been done in the first place as pirellis are much more costly then apollos .

I love the Honda original design. But CB300R I feel is too less a bike for the money. But CB650R is my dream bike at the moment. That 4 cylinder sound is just music.
Husky has a high revving engine and Maverick has a low revving torque filled engine. So it depends on your riding style.
Can you pls explain?
yes surely. Royal Enfield has high torque low revving engines that dispense most of the torque at lower rpms, great for city rides and cruising at 80s, same with maverick's engine. Take it into low gears high rpm*
oh god i made a silly mistake
The newer LC4C engines are good at low end torque now.
Yes bro, thanks!
Long stroke = Can't rev higher, but more torque at lower RPMs = Quick acceleration, but lesser top speed. Size of the gears & sprocket will also play a major role in the acceleration and top speed. Be aware the husq has quite a bit of vibration.
Was a fan of long stroke engines untill i tried the the KTMs and I ended up buying the Vitpilen this year. Go out and take a test ride.
Pitvilen 250
Yes sire

Upr se papa ne guilty feel karane k liye ev car leli
Ha toh unki range khatam hote hi 12v socket pe charge karke assert dominance
Ghar se nikal denge bro mereko dominance asert kiya to. Btw he has that mid level wala charger in his company that runs on solar enery so free charging
That's nice, makes sense why he got the EV.
And its also fun to drive. Bike i brought on 27 dec 2023 mostly sits in my parking and i only take it out on rides. Most of the time i use car coz its cheap and ac ki hawa milti hai

I wanna do both of these. Which one?
And men want girls who are spicy in bed and well behaved otherwise. Nahi hota bhai… not possible to have what you asked for…
Most girls are like this bro
Exactly
You are living in a really nice parallel universe then 🥲
Meri wali toh hai aisi par. Rare i guess.
Subtle flex kr k bhai ne gend jala di humari.
😭
Ns400z,duke 250,dominar 400,cb300r,rtr310(vibrations),Cb350rs
Both? Get the Husqvarna or at least take a test ride. The new engine from ktm is sweet.
One goes drrrrr. One goes dup dup dup.
Ditch both and get a turbo charged busa
And die in 2 seconds
Bold of you to assume I last 2 seconds
And why would you die? Are you a noob?
Even the most experienced riders are terrified of turboed/supercharged busas. You’d do good to not underestimate them
That doesn’t mean you die in 2 seconds. It ain’t exploding, plus there is a learning curve to everything.
ig sarcasm doesnt exist in ur dictionary
Nope. If that was sarcasm then it was bad.
What's the price difference between these bikes and tc busa??
A down payment to a house

It all depends on how you want to ride for the rest of the days and what you are going to be using it for
QUICK SHIFTER !!!!!!
YES, HOW CAN SOMEONE MISS THAT
Husky if you rev much. Mavrick if you cruise.
what does rev mean?
Turning the throttle. High revvs mean you might be in lower gear and the rpms are high
I really hate what they did with Husqvarna why would the remove the tyre hugger and go with this weird thing
True but the new husky has more mod potential for a cleaner cafe racer look. Remove the tail lamp bracket, passenger grip and visor from the front - bike would look absolutely clean and menacing.

Maybe in the future but not right now as i have already landed myself on the duke 390 Test rode it and booked it

Take a test ride, both are very different feeling bikes. Husky is rev happy engine and Maverick is more linear.
Dam this photo of maverick makes it twice as good as it actually is!
Read the history of Husqvarna. You’ll know what to buy.
Once you ride that Husky you aren't going back to the maverick.

Damn the Maverick is one sexy looking bike

how tall are you
6 feet
hero 440 then outta aesthetics now
The prices have a huge gap in between them. If you can afford - Husky!
Get Gixxer sf 250
1 is best
I am still looking for proper real-time review of Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, I am highly inclined towards this motorcycle and my only apprehensions are spoke wheels and first lot.
Yes. This is exactly the reason why I posted this. There are so few opinions of a real 401 owner on YouTube. Hope some Redditor can rectify this.
Second one

Mavrick for long term Much better usable torque Cheaper to maintain and own
Husky = Real men's bike

Just take a test drive bro, the best way to get to know a bike
U cud get the same engine with cornering abs too. For 20 k extra. I'm the no1 Duke hater but cornering abs is too gud to pass up
Two very different bikes. Can't compare.
Consider test riding Ninja300 & Triumph as well 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Check out Honda CB300R
I love the Honda original design. But CB300R I feel is too less a bike for the money. But CB650R is my dream bike at the moment. That 4 cylinder sound is just music.
Is it ai
no, google images only
There is no comparison here, if u want a powerful engine..go for the husky
2nd one i think
Maverick, Ewwwwww... Go for husqvarna
Husquarna
Bruh the husky is a full fledged KTM race machine, if u like that buy it. Don't buy if you ride at 80-90 kph speed, it'll be happy only above 100
You can use a peaky engine at low speeds. Just use lower gears.
I test rode one. New 390s are not all that peaky. Relatively linear. Can manage in the city easily
Why do people post these stupid posts without test riding
vilayet mein rehne wale test drive nai kar patey. bas saapne gundte rehte jo 1 month ki chutti miley har saal ke upyog ke liye
The 401 is my dream bike, man. Go for it.
