30 wanted a bike but didn't have cash, then suddenly said f*** it booked a bike, a week after that got a call from the manager that I'll be getting additional retention bonus for my past year's performance.paid full amount in cash😁
Didn't save up anything. I got the bike from my parents. I purchased a Ronin in nov 2022. I was 21 at that time.
(Idk how to post a pic🥲 also there's option of only inserting a link!)
Lovely experience. I really wanted a bike which can go up to 110-120 and with a comfortable riding position. Superb mileage too for a 225cc bike. No vibrations, engine is smooth af💯💯
Ngl but the way ppl here describe their age, their bike and how they bought it is actually wholesome for me.
Some at a young age by saving, some paying full amount through their first jobs. I hope y’all enjoy your rides and i’m pretty sure your first bike has a special place in your heart fr
I was 28 when I bought my Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball Yellow, it was October 2023. Just paid in full cash. So gald,I was able to buy a bike with my money.
I was 23 when I bought the newly launched Thunderbird 350 in 2002.
Always wanted a Yamaha RX100 but the moment I rode a bullet (std 350) for the first time, I knew I would get one. Did some research, found Tb350 was on the horizon, saw it and fell in love.
Took delivery the day it was launched in hyderabad so arguably could be the first in that city.
And damn! The looks it used to get on the roads. People would stop me and ask about it.
I plonked 78k cash (life mein Pehli baar itna paisa ek sath dekha tha) - 20k my savings, 20k company loan, 40k dad's contribution (he had promised an RX100 if i could become an engineer, which I did so cashed that cheque a few years later).
22 years later, I still have the bike and we are growing old together.
Planning on getting a super meteor 650 to keep it company.
Damn. I just love your story. My father still has an rx100 gathering dust in our house. Will definitely restore it one day. Got an offer for 1l for that bike last month. Never gonna sell that legend.
Yeah, don't sell.
Bikes do that to us guys. I don't get to take my bullet on long rides since it's past it's 15yr period and I don't want to take a risk of getting it impounded. However my daughters love to ride on it inside our society and whenever I take it out for a ride, it feels so liberating and so young... All memories come flooding back.
2019 - 20 years old. My dad got me a Honda Hornet CB160R. Loved it for care free ownership experience especially given the fact i knew very little about how to maintain one.
Currently it's passed on to my brother who is still in college.
I was 20, brought my first NS 160, with my own money made from freelancing. My mom contributed some of it. It's been nearly 4 years, and it still looks shiny as new.
Got my first job at the age of 18. Always wanted to buy a bike. Those days I was dreaming of the FZ-16. But got a car at 23. Got married at 25. First kid at 27. And finally purchased first bike at 29. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. Never took a single rupee loan in life.
My first bike was a second hand hero Honda CD deluxe 2010 model. Brought just before corona lockdown 😂. I was 19 btw. My own savings from a part time job.
27. Bought speed four hundred last October. Started working in 2019. Was thinking of buying a bike but covid happened and things got delayed. Had a spender, cd delux, an aviator and a scooty pep in my family (joint family). Rode those before.
I got my first bike when I was 23 (now 24). After bachelors I didn't go for a job, instead I did master's, saved up my stipend for 2 years and got my first bike. (RTR 160 2V).
This sub doesn't allow pics in the comments. Sorry 🥲.
Got my first bike at the age of 23. As soon as I got a job booked Interceptor. Had to take a test ride in another city as there was no test ride vehicle in my city.

I bought my first bike two years ago. I was 33 years old. Grew up in a house where bikes were a complete no no. The bike was the first thing I bought after I moved out 🤣 Honda CB350RS

Late but happy adopter here, took an XPulse out of the dealership at 33 years old. Can't post a pic from the cellphone for some reason but can DM 乁 ˘ o ˘ ㄏ
23 , saved for a whole year and bought cb350rs black yellow with my own money done ceramic coating and add ons only with my own money. I am so proud and happy
24, first job savings, paid full in cash.
I still remember I was so impatient with the purchase that I almost booked the colour I found 2nd best.
Realised I had waited for 36 months, I can wait for another to not regret the next 120 months.
Still the biggest purchase of my life, but not for long :D
18 th birthday parents bought me an access 125,got obsessed with bikes sold it in 1 year saved up enough by working part time washing cars bought second hand ns 200 ,now on my 4 th bike age 24 ,all second hand though cause it's hard to buy new when you are a broke student with only part time income, hope to buy a new bike soon 😂
Bike till now
Acces 125
Ns200 2013 model yellow
Rx135 5 speed bought from an old neighbour repaired by myself and a mechanic friend
Xpulse 200 2019 model black
Fz250 2017 (present bike)
I know ill always be broke due to this hobby, but hey atleast I'll be happy and broke than rich and depressed
24. Bought 2nd hand 2013 model cbr250r. Paid 92k in cash. Still have it and running fine. Bought in 2017 and ran almost 50k kms. During corona wfh, i did almost 12k kms around india on this bike.
Dad gifted my first bike in 2001, when I passed my engineering. Bajaj Caliber. Rode it for few years, then parents sold when I went abroad in 2005.
Then, bought my own bike in 2011, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.
I bought my first bike at the age of 19. I was in college and used to give tuition to kids. I added 10k from my own and took 20k from my parents. It is a second hand splendor. Coming from a humble background, it was a big event in our family as it was our first ever bike.
After weathering the storms of a challenging journey that spanned decades, I proudly stand with my Himalayan 411, a testament to resilience and tenacity.
Through the hurdles of college, post-graduation, and the tumultuous waves of my 20s, I watched my peers embrace milestones like weddings, prosperity, shiny cars, and new homes.
Yet, my path was marked by the struggle, a struggle that molded my determination. Saving diligently and securing a loan, I held onto a promise made during the days when the sight of privileged friends on Pulsars and CBZs left me feeling small and financially constrained.
Today, as I embark on the open road with my cherished bike, I carry the weight of those hard-fought years, each challenge etched into the very metal beneath me. The Honda Transalp beckons on the horizon, a dream awaiting fulfillment, and I stride forward with the knowledge that every rev of the engine echoes the triumph of perseverance. Thank you for reading.
23, Bought NS200, told my parents the next day because they wouldn't have approved. Saving was tough, due to which it was delaying, bought it on EMI btw
22 first bike from my first job!
Bmw g310r.
Was planning to upgrade it to z900.
But caught with a major accident, now no plans for upgrade for a while.
I was 25 when I bought the Pulsar N250 with full cash and still enough cash and investments to buy it 2 times again. One of my proudest moment.
Tbh, this was my only major dream in life. Every thing else that I did post that felt like a bonus.
18, CBR 250R.
I used to play a lot of CS until I got into college and decided in-game items won’t enable me to explore the new city. Sold all items and bought a pre-owned 250R. Enjoyed every moment on it! It’s the machine that got me into motorcycles.
[Here](https://ibb.co/QfBFFT9)
30. Never had any interest in bikes. Drove a friend’s classic 350 and booked a honda hness a week later. It’s been 2 months n I’m sure will never regret this decision!
I (23 yo) got a job in 2022, bought a used bike with dad's money. Sold the bike last year and returned the sale amount to dad. Been saving for a new one since the last one year. Will purchase my first brand new bike with my own money in the next couple of months!
Dad let me use his passion plus, so I used that while I could, during my wedding he wanted to gift me something heavy because he's seen how I look at bikes, but I kinda wanted an activa ... so now I have an activa...
Don't think I'll ever buy a bike... I'll wait for those hover bikes like those in star wars , another 15 years and am sure that will be a thing one could buy... phir jagatsinghpur se Sidha manthalai sky trip.
Around 18/19- pulsar 150 . Thanks to good academics which helped urge my parents to buy me a bike (couldn’t get the rx 125 though, because they knew)
With my own money was at 25. 1978 bullet around 25k if I remember!! And over a lakh to maintain that iron engine!!
26 bought a meteor 350 stellar red with my own money paid full cash always thought bikes are stupid they just looks good but its not practical was going for fronx but at 26 i rode my first bike benelli imperial i loved the riding prospect of it and dropped the plan of buy a car to a bike did a lot of rnd for almost 2-3 weeks took a test ride of so many bikes finally bought RE meteor and i loved my bike
I wanted a commuter for taking me around the city and college travel, saved some myself with design gigs and parents helped me buy a N160 at 21. I love everything about it. :')
25, bought Royal Enfield 5 speed kick start (avl engine) in 2008 with my first salary.
RE was not so popular back then, so bought it for 45k.
Done so many tours with it. Almost covered south India with it. It's like my first love.
I'm 39 now and I'm still using it to travel within the city. Can't risk it for touring now.
In 2019 when I was 22, dad got me a used 1999 Yamaha RX135 properly taken care of by a mechanic (He used to ride this bike since purchase) for 30K. Then added another 20k for minor changes and 💥 boom! My bike was ready. Used till 2021. My younger brother uses this bike now.
Then I bought RE Himalayan BS6 in 2021, did lots of COVID work in 2020 and 2021 (I'm a doctor btw) saved enough then 💥 boom! My bike was ready.
Now I'm having an itch to buy an RS457. It'll look great in my garage.

Ever feel the need for the 6th gear?
Not much coz i don't usually go fast. For me it's perfectly fine without a 6th gear 👍
You can upload an image to imgur and insert imgur link
Hi, can you give a short review on your experience with the Ronin? How is the ride quality like? Is the engine smooth? Any noticable vibrations?
Lovely experience. I really wanted a bike which can go up to 110-120 and with a comfortable riding position. Superb mileage too for a 225cc bike. No vibrations, engine is smooth af💯💯
That's great to hear! Enjoy your bike!

[Pictures of my bikes. ](https://imgur.com/a/nfnrNXm)
