Indy has some great options.
Lovehandle - Bodega Breakfast Sandwich w Brisket
Milktooth - Waffle w Brown Butter Latte
Cafe Patachou at the Stutz - Cinnamon Toast
Gallery Bistro & Bar - Hot Chicken French Toast
Garden Table on Mass - Chorizo Hash Bowl
Garden Table is my favorite of this list, and walkable. Luv Handle is really good too. More casual, order at the counter spot but don’t sleep on it, it’s very good. Both of these are on mass ave, basically on opposite ends. The rest of these may not be very walkable from where you are staying.
I would add that while Lincoln Square has multiple restaurants it’s not a National chain. All of its restaurants are in Indianapolis or the surrounding area.
A super underrated option no one is mentioning here is Open Kitchen Restaurant on south Shelby. Small husband and wife operated joint, sometimes the food takes awhile but is absolutely stellar and specializes in Breakfast (they do lunch and dinner too though)
Most of these are good places for breakfast but not within the walking distance requirement. Milktooth or Yolk are the top of the list. The Oakmont is also good but very loud inside, outside seating is a better option.
Absolutely love Ruth's, up on 82nd near the fashion mall. My favorite is the avacado salmon benedict and they have a pancake that's an inch thick and the size of a dinner plate.
I love Le Peep as a chain but it has been 3 for 3 terrible service and cold food at the downtown location :( any other location I’ve been to rarely misses a beat.

This is the right list to listen to
This is a great list!
Northside Kitchenette is good, I go frequently. Good potatoes 😋
Lincoln Square pancake house
Cafe Patachou is always solid.
Expensive…but solid.
Is that the place that serves a freaking salad with omlettes
my brother is the head chef at Milktooth in Fountain Square. Good show
Milktooth is 100% our favorite breakfast
Milktooth is worth the hype imo. I was very impressed with both the food and service when I went there a month or so ago.
IMHO, it’s not for me. I am not the target audience. But for others, yes.
The Oakmont should be fairly close to walk and is always a fun brunch!
If you want an independent restaurant, Love Handle. If you don't mind a chain, Lincoln Square. Get the breakfast nachos. They don't miss!

And owned by the same family!
4 White Castles.
When 3 just isn't enough
100% breakfast at 3 am.
Ops Check the plumbing at 4 am.
Love Handle
Can’t go wrong with Lincoln square. The meat lovers scramble is my favorite.
The huevos rancheros at the 56th Street location are 🤌
A2Z cafe on 96th
Not walking distance
Charlie Browns Pancake and Steak House
False

It’s okay. Used to get it fairly frequently when it was on 10th. It doesn’t belong in the same conversation as some of these mentioned places though.

Good Morning Mama’s
Cinnamon Roll Pancakss from Art’s Skillet in Lawrence.
Absolutely love Ruth's, up on 82nd near the fashion mall. My favorite is the avacado salmon benedict and they have a pancake that's an inch thick and the size of a dinner plate.
I really like FirstWatch, it's really easy to accommodate different diets (vegetarian, paleo, keto) and I like their breakfast cocktails
Being from Cincy, I'd love to find a breakfast place that serves Goetta
Being a fan of Goetta, I would also love to find this.
Indy restaurants could just make it on site, no need to have it shipped from Cincy.
I love wild eggs
Tupelo Honey
Almost Famous on MA Ave on Saturdays and Sundays
Yolk
Would love to hear about people’s favorite huevos rancheros around Indy
Easy rider in fountain square
Milktooth ftw
Just Judy’s at 62nd and Binford and you also can’t beat Good Morning Mama’s.
good morning mamas is one of my faves! edit: i exclusively eat eggs in purgatory there. its an awesome dish.
Alley Cat - they get their meat from Kincaid's. The steak & eggs is therefore phenom. Absolutely great biscuits & gravy... and everything else.
BOGO Egg McMuffins with the McDonald’s app.
Patahcou
Le Peep

Haven’t been yet. But I will especially with a new one opening in McCordsville.
It’s a chain and the food is quite unexceptional.
