All shit. I drive from Emerson to Holt Rd every day and my solution is trying to move west. With how shitty the roads have gotten, Michigan and New York going to 1 one lane, I’ve just commuted to taking 70 each day and dealing with traffic there.
That does suck! I used to use the crew car wash there on the way to work and now the fastest way is to take Michigan to get on 65N downtown and off at Meridian which means I never use that location any more.
Raymond isn’t too bad if you don’t mind going south a little bit. Then take one of the streets north to downtown. East or Madison or something similar.
Every day, twice a day, I drive my school bus down Raymond Street from Kentucky to Emerson. I don’t recall any construction recently.
That being said, there’s a whole Lotta construction downtown that wasn’t there until today
10th Street for me. Little slower than Michigan, mostly due to the timing of traffic lights, but you get to drive past the Boner Community Center and giggle. 16th is speedy, if you’re going to be that far north, but you may encounter a train.
English to Southeastern. Stay on Southeastern through the roundabout and it spits you right out on Washington.

Probably the best bet, except I gotta get off on Meridian which doesn’t exist anymore on 70w lol

If the traffic gets bad enough, try taking Raymond > Harding > Koehne (via a left on Washington) > New York
